Vectronom @ SGDQ2021
SGDQ is live!
It's been a long-time dream of ours to see a Vectronom run at Games Done Quick and now we are happy to say it’s happening tomorrow! You’re invited to a watch party on our Discord server, where you’ll get to see inhuman feats of speed and help raise money for charity.
If you don't know about SGDQ, it's the greatest speedrun event ever. In a nutshell, it lasts 6 days and the schedule is packed with all sorts of games run by some of the world’s best speedrunners. You get to see a crazy good selection of games from different eras being twisted and manipulated in all sorts of ways just to finish in the fastest time possible. If this wasn't already good enough, the event is all for charity and donations go to Doctors Without Borders, so that is neat.
The WR-holder in the Any% and All Pickups category, badBlackShark is going to be performing an Any% run of Vectronom on Tuesday, July 6th at around 11:30 am CEST. If things go really well, we’ll get to showcase a selection of some of the most insane levels from the community. More info
The event will be broadcast live on twitch.tv/gamesdonequick and you can check out the complete schedule here .
We will have a voice channel open during the event on our Discord server , so feel free to drop by and join the party.
Don’t let this event speed past you!
Stay Safe!
Dear community,
To finish this crazy year on a high note we wanted to do something special by adding the mythical SIDESPIKES to our Level Editor!!!
Sidespikes
A rare and ultra-useful game element that can sometimes be a guide and some others your demise. With this addition, the core Vectronom level-making toolbox is now complete, and to celebrate such a milestone we decided to fill this update with the stuff we like the most, lots of Colors and banging Music!
We received some insights from our Discord community and added some much-needed 5/4 palettes for those unconventional and polyrhythmic freaks out there.
Of course, no Vectronom update would be complete without some fresh music tracks to be used exclusively in the Level Editor.
For this update, we went experimental. We added the fastest and slowest songs in the game (170 bpm and 60bpm), we played with some seasonal cliches, brought back some Isometric Epilepsy classics, and even created a radio hit to remind us to stay safe and stay home.
The cherry on top is the debut track of our very own Herr Balint, which is now tipping his toes in the world of ethereal sound design with "Grinch" (Name not given by Balint). A track that makes Tower Crush and Arrow sound like a children's lullaby.
This was a weird year, but better times lay ahead! In the meantime keep on playing and remember to stay safe, if you are ever feeling bored or alone, jump into our Discord community, we will receive you with a warm and socially distanced hug.
Everyone at Ludopium wants to wish you all happy holidays and a fantastic new year.

ohh, yea it’s also snowing now
Steam Award nomination
Halloween Update!
Pickups are here! Place pickups in the editor and challenge other players to collect them all. Please note that pickups, similar to Start and Exit blocks, can not be placed on individual beats. You can, however, place as many pickups on a level as you want.
New Music! : Juan went ahead and put a lot of additional music content in the game for you to use for your awesome level creations. Check out the full list below: - Isometric Epilepsy (8 Stages) - Necessary Evil (3 Stages) - Arrival - IE (7 Stages) - Discovery - IE (7 Stages) - Mystery - IE (5 Stages) - Weird - IE (4 Stages) - Prism Ghost (3 Stages) - Sorry Schumann (3 Stages)
A couple of new color palettes await you Try out the following Halloween-themed color palettes - Masks - Bloody - Swamp - Darkbow - Candy
Smaller fixes - cut music track "Tribe" correctly - separated "Celtic" stages [S1+S2] and [S3] and "Family" stages [S1] and [S2+S3] so the different time-signatures should be properly usable in user-levels now - fixed an issue where the labels of the exit blocks would randomly appear in the level editor
We hope you keep on creating cool things with the new content.
