We've released a brand new patch for Velocity Stream.
We like to call it the Valentine's Patch... or the Patch For All You Lonely People.
Why? Well, the main work done to the game has been to add a dedicated single player mode. So in case you don't have anyone to spend Valentine's with, why not spend it with our charismatic bots?
Racer physics Added aids to make the game easier to play
Paver collisions The way the Paver collides is now more accurate than before
Racer bots You can now race against AI racers. This can be done both on online, in splitscreen and alone.
Practice mode There is now a dedicated practice mode, where you can race against AI racers either as Paver or Racer. Also, Pavers can explore the game world without worrying about time limits or racers.
Improved network behaviour Network code for racers has been considerably rewritten, making the game much smoother.
Paver volounteer In online lobbys there is now a checkbox for volounteering to be the Paver. This increases the probability that you'll be a paver, while not choosing to be a volounteer reduces your chances.
Racer balance The racers have been rebalanced, making them more interresting to play.
Menu button Previously, keyboard players accessed the menus using Enter. We have changed this to ESC, to make the game a bit more conventional.
And as a last mention, we want to announce our Valentine's sale. The game's going to be 35% off for the next few days, so go ahead and grab yourself a copy. And to all our current customers, persuade your friends to join the community!
