It's great to see that our game has managed to maintain such a following even years after the release. Unfortunately the game has never managed to quite sustain itself or the needed updates. Also that much talked about text-to-speech was removed due to financial constraints.
Now we've come to the situation where the company behind the game will finally be taken down and removed from the Trade Registry in Finland. Thus the game will also be shut down for good soon. We have about a month's playtime left here. (Some capacity closing time is on 20th of October)
The game has recently suffered from occasional downtime. We are now again able to put up the servers so for the next month feel free to let us know if the servers go down again. We know how we'd fix that for good but at this point there is no sense doing that.
Thank you everyone for this great journey we've had with Velvet Sundown. Some very memorable games were played and we really really appreciate all the kind words over the years.

first of all we'd like to apologize for the lack of updates to the game recently due to our limited resources. After watching Forsenlol playing Velvet Sundown on Twitch last night, we noticed an issue with the logbook on the Murder! scenario. We have now fixed this and added a few other improvements to the game. Thanks again for all the support, there have been many awesome streams and videos of Velvet Sundown!
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year,
Velvet Sundown team
