Devil’s Game Updates

- Shard of Intellect: Each person gets ONE guess. Make it count.
- Players MUST be able to accept challenges at least ONCE a day. If they do not, the title of KING will pass to the previous victor.
- To steal a mark, the cap is a minimum of 5, and context must be explicitly stated to steal the mark. The victor may not benefit from killing, harming, or kidnapping the target afterward.
- Sacrifice changed to: “Offer that which holds true value to your soul, and I will reward it, you shall reach your goal.” Players must give an offering to the Shard of Sacrifice. Once an offering is made, players will post their offering and their RP justifying it to this form: https://forms.gle/DWCJyLMasjYDXTJ9A. Whoever has offered up the object of most value by the end of the game will receive the Mark of Sacrifice. Narrative judgment will decide who has made the highest “bid”.
- Patience Players that are active near the Shard of Patience will receive a status effect of the same name (Patience). This effect has a score that ticks higher in value while you are RPing beside the shard, and it ticks down if you are AFK, offline, or out of the shard's range. Players who are caught cheesing or cheating with auto-clickers or anything of the sort will be OOCly disqualified. The Player with the "highest score" of Patience at the end of the game will receive the Mark of Patience.
- The forum thread now reflects the holder of each mark publicly.
Spells
- Added Adaptive as an unlisted stat that can be added to by items & abilities. - Adaptive automatically attributes its points to either Strength or Control, depending on which has a higher base value. - In other words, 1 Adaptive will add 1 to your Strength if it has a higher value than your Control. - Poison damage increased (0.1% CHP/stack -> 0.125% CHP/stack)
Touched - Influence Of Blood fixed. - Influence Of The Wild fixed. - Transformed Body fixed. - Influence Of Demonology shifted back to original design (+4 Adp instead of 1% DB) now that it won't cause dual scaling issues. - Fixed an issue with Influence Of The Wild. - Pandemonium cooldown decreased (50s -> 30s) - Absolution spear count increased (5 -> 6) - Slaughter cooldown decreased (25s -> 24s) - Influence Of Felfire cooldown decreased (5s -> 3s) - Fel Gate cooldown decreased (35s -> 28s) - Infernal Smash cooldown decreased (30s -> 26s) - Grip Of Death cooldown decreased (28s -> 20s) - Grip Of Death speed increased by ~150% - Grip Of Death Heavy Slow duration increased (1.5s -> 3s) ^ If this doesn't make it decent, I'll replace it! - Added Anniversary Bags to the crafting menu for small, fun effects (and an hour of +10% Experience) - Set region descriptions for cities (Deliverance, Lett'mora, Urosil, Providence). Boundary soon! - Narrates are now logged properly. - Added a right click drop menu to the coin counter for easier dropping. - Injuries are now visible to medics of medic exp >= 1000. Will not show injury details. - Overlays (books, auras, afk signs) no longer vanish on map change. - Right clicking school badges now properly provides their details in chat. - Click Casting fixed. - Guild founding dates should now stick. - Age DR caps properly at 20 stacks now. - Logging out in small maps no longer leaves behind a ghost player for a few seconds. - Injuries now preserve their durations (e.g. if you have four days remaining on a minor, it won't up itself to a week) - Admins can now back out of teleport/etc. menus. - Admin teleport/etc. menus display currently selected option. - Added default 'custom' blank item type. - Expanded edit/create menu size for admins. - Admin teleport/etc. menus start scrolled to the top. - Tickets no longer autosend messages when focus on the window is lost.

Elementalism - School Passive buffed (1% Damage Bonus per 10 Capacity -> 1% Damage Bonus per 8 Capacity)
Pyromancy - Pyromancy has been completely reformatted in terms of prerequisites. You may ticket to refund out of the tree completely if you so desire. - Cremation: Passively, Burn is upgraded to Scalding Burn, dealing additional damage and applying a very minor slow. On activation, Scalding Burn heals you for 50% of the damage dealt.
Incanting - Building Power (aura buff) GCD reduction increased (-0.075s per stack -> -0.1s per stack) - Rune Mark visual updated to better reflect hit box
- Added Culling Blade. Prerequisite to Ethereal Prism. Summon a projection of a deadly scythe, sweeping in an arc in front of you. Landing it will steal the mana cost of the ability from the hit target and refresh the ability's cooldown (sweeping in the opposite direction on the next cast). This can only happen once per "full" cast.
Other - Bleed puddle duration fixed (meant to be 10s, was 7.5s)

- Deliverance's map has been added (finally) to the game, as a peninsula to the north of where it currently remains. The pillar has been moved here as well. - Prep. to finally add the requested apartment builds to the cities (& fixes to Lett'mora's map soon, apologies for the wait) - Hit predictors should look a little different. This is in preparation to add more advanced config options later to activate/deactivate ally/enemy/etc. predictors & spell effects. Dealing significant damage to an enemy will grant an additional stack of Sudden Pursuit. - Shatter's Self Damage removed - Augmenting school passive nerf'd (20% of dex -> 10% of dex) - Eviscerate: Lunge forward and swipe in a small circle around you. Recast once to swipe again in a larger circle and heavy slow any enemies hit. Aeromancy - Cyclone max stacks increased (5 -> 10) - Cyclone stack refresh rate increased (1s -> 0.5s) - Cyclone now applies stacks based on damage dealt (rather than just applying 1x whenever damage is dealt) **If you're curious, the formula is: Stacks Applied = Damage Dealt / (Aura User's Level * 3). Damage below this threshold will not proc Frail application.
Geomancy - Core Rend cooldown increased (20s -> 30s) - Faultline now works (?) and applies a 2s stun on-hit. - Faultline now has 2 charges. - Faultline cooldown increased (12s -> 16s) - Magnetism pull strength reduced (1.75 px per 0.2s -> 1.25 px per 0.2s)

Evocation - Added & unlocked for public access. Inaccessible to players with Sorcery. - Clarity Of Will - You gain 0.5 Capacity per Level and (Level * 0.05)% Heal Bonus & Damage Resist.
Cleric - Purification - Aura - Passively, cleanse a debuff from yourself periodically. - On activation, gain a small shield and cleanse all debuffs. While the shield is sustained, you have debuff immunity. - Smite your target from any distance with a quick blast of Holy energy. - Heal - Wash over yourself with Holy magic, healing for a small amount of health. - Hallowed Obelisk - Conjure an obelisk that aids nearby allies, granting Damage Resist and Armor & Res in an AOE around itself. - Consecration - Hallow the land around your feet, forming a consecrated field that deals damage to enemies periodically. - Bless - Distribute 8x Blessed among your party (divided equally), healing a small amount on application per stack. If a Blessed player is damaged (more than a threshold) before Blessed expires, they receive another small heal and a brief damage boost. - Reverent Hail - Summon a storm of golden orbs that pelt your opponent from a distance, each dealing a small amount of damage. - Holy Skewer - Erupt into a beam of Holy energy, dealing high damage over the beam's duration. - Swords Of Light - Conjure a pair of light-construct swords at either of your sides, sending them flying toward your target after a brief delay. - Cresting Sunset - Manifest a blinding Holy sun that scorches its surroundings for the duration. While active, it fires out golden chains that slow and drag in hit enemies.
Monk - Mental Resolve - Aura - Passively, you are empowered by Chi. - On activation, radiate energy outward and knock nearby enemies away continuously. Your Chi stacks cannot drop below 3x for the duration. - Cultivate - Heal yourself for a small amount and raise your Chi stacks by 1x. - Dropkick - Slide into a dropkick, moving quickly toward your target. Deals high damage, knocks back, and applies 1x Chi on a successful hit. - Sacred Blows - Illuminate your fists with a shimmering light. For the duration, you deal additional magical damage when hitting enemies with Monk spells. - Will consume 1x Chi if available to heal you for the same amount when the damage is dealt. - Rapid Punches - Unleash a barrage of fast-hitting punches. Every X consecutive hits will grant 1x Chi. Scales down via Capacity. - Dynamic Speed - Become swiftness itself, gaining a small dash in your current direction of movement every Xs for the duration. Scales down via Dexterity & Capacity. - Stampede - Dive forward with outstanding force, slamming into enemies. You deal high damage upfront, continuously dragging any caught victims with your dash and dealing half damage each step. - Empty Palm - Passively augments your Mental Resolve aura. You can only purchase one palm spell. - Mental Resolve now passively provides -Xs Dash CD and X% Damage Resist per stack of Chi. Scales to Capacity. - Defy Fate - Enter into a counter stance for a duration, rooting yourself and consuming all stacks of Chi. If you're hit for more than X damage, stun the damage dealer for X seconds. - If 2x or more Chi is consumed, you and the damage dealer are reset back to where you were when the spell was cast upon triggering. - If 3x Chi is consumed, your Health and Mana will be reset as well. - Rigid Palm - Passively augments your Mental Resolve aura. You can only purchase one palm spell. - Mental Resolve now passively provides X% Damage Bonus and X% Armor & Resilience Pierce per stack of Chi. Scales to Capacity. - Obliterate - Send a massive punch forward, dealing very high damage if it lands and consuming all stacks of Chi. - If 2x or more Chi is consumed, a gust of wind follows the direction of your punch, sending both friend and foe drifting in said direction for Xs. - If 3x Chi is consumed, a crack in reality will form below the punch's impact, rapidly dealing damage and shredding Armor and Resilience.
Effects
- Added a config option that shows popup text (e.g. damage numbers) when a character gains & loses buffs & debuffs. Only affects initial stacks (in other words, you won't receive popups when a Bleed stack is added or lost). - Permanent effects (e.g. aura effects) no longer continually count down. - Many spells that didn't list effects on holding alt now do (Fireball, Witchfire, a few others) - Maim made into a 'basic'-type effect (like Bleed, Burn, Poison, Slow, etc.) - Added icons to a lot of item-based effects, as well as to Maim and a few others. - Effects are now cleansed when a fight ends.
Miscellaneous
- Trying to delete a container-type prop shows a prompt now. - Added a config slider under Audio for profile music. - Added a notifier above targeted narrates for the target. - Damage multipliers below 1% (e.g. 0.3%) will now round to the nearest tenth rather than the nearest whole integer.

The Viridian Moon
Though many were tragically lost in Providence’s third expedition to the Void to uncover what happened to Emperor Balin Sketch, they did not die in vain.
Harbinger DI made a wish to bring the Dragons back from the Void where they had been imprisoned.
The Dragons have returned to Rhyst although still trapped within their eerie green prison resembling a moon.
When the Viridian Moon shines over Rhyst, the plane is temporarily bathed in a ghostly light. This harms extraplanars, Touched, Umbra, and Anima.

The Highshield Tournament
Some of your local Rhystians sent word to Highshield that Sarea was struggling with its battle against the Void and Faewild. While we aren't sure how they were convinced, what we are sure of is that they've since sent notice that they'll indeed be providing us with aid in the coming years! Before their secrets can be shared with us, though, they've expressed a desire to see the worthiness of our peoples in the form of a tournament that they'll sponsor.
Harbinger Pascha Pavlova and Archbishop Drahcir Aurelius came in first and second place, while the strange Chu Mahn took third. The Specter of Undeath, Xi, made an appearance soon after. She teleported into the event and murdered the noble Lady of Highshield. As Xi commenced battle with Highshield Officials, Fort Urosil’s Seer Chiriel brought the lady back to life with strange, non-Rhystian magic, though questions still buzz as to how beneficial her survival would prove to be due to the complications it would pose.

Verdict Beach Episode
Over 50 characters came to enjoy free pizza, mead, wine, and jerky at this public event. This 8 hour beach party included a volleyball game, a sandcastle contest, gambling, a surf-off, and dancing for the spirit of the luau. Numerous amazing prizes were awarded to the winners, such as sky diamonds, void diamonds, orichalcum, adamantite, fairy tears, and bloodroot.

Stats
- Armor & Resilience Pierce are now considered percentage reductions rather than flat reductions. In other words, "1 Armor Pierce" will now ignore 1% of your opponent's total Armor instead of ignoring 1 Armor flatly. - Critical Damage is now 150% instead of 200% to accomodate for the Dex & Cap scaling school bonuses.
Items
- IMPORTANT: ALL WEAPONS HAVE BEEN RESCALED. In a lot of cases, this will mean almost nothing to you. We basically went over and assigned values to stats and did things in a systematic way instead of eyeballing them. Weapons should be a lot more even now. - Spears have been rescaled to provide less flat damage, but a large chunk of Armor Pierce. - Daggers have been rescaled to provide more flat damage with a small amount of Armor Pierce. - Mana Rifles have been rescaled to provide less flat damage, but more Resilience Pierce. - Mana Pistols have been added, which are one-handed & magical equivalents to daggers. - You can see the full list of new item stats HERE - Movement Rings reduced (10 MS -> 7.5 MS) - Neglects cost reduced (3 Lotus -> 2 Lotus) - Impairment cost reduced (3 Lotus -> 1 Lotus)
Interfaces
- School bar in the spell menu will only list a school's name if it's more than 15% of your total spells. - Reformatted the school passive menu so it's always popped out, with less unnecessary information & a smaller footprint.
Spells
- For reference, all schools are no longer considered to passively provide stats. These are wrapped inside the school passives now, while every player gets a default 0.5 in every stat per level.
Elementalism
- Reworked Unstable Conjurations. Unstable Conjurations - School Passive - Provides 0.1% Damage Bonus per point of Capacity. - Provides +0.5 Control per Level.
Pyromancy
- Fireball damage reduced (8x Lvl + 10x Ctr -> 5x Lvl + 7x Ctr) - Cremation now affects all 'owned' Cremation effects. - Scattershot CD reduced (18s -> 16s)
Aeromancy
- Lightning Bolt damage increased (4x Lvl + 5x Ctr -> 4x Lvl + 5.5x Ctr) - Ripping Gales applies Frail on all types of damage now rather than just magic damage.
- Conjure Ore nerf undone by 50%. - Lava tiles now apply 1s of Slow per tick. - Renamed Lesser Magma Pool to Magma Pool. - Reworked Core Rend. Core Rend - No longer spawns random AOEs. Instead spawns a + shape of lava tiles on the caster.
Weaving
- Reworked Focused Casting. Focused Casting - School Passive - Provides 0.25 Haste per point of Capacity. - Provides +0.5 Control per Level.
Arcane
- Essence Bomb damage reduced (7x Lvl + 10x Ctr -> 6x Lvl + 8x Ctr) - Blink movement speed damage reduced (1x Lvl + 1x Ctr -> 1.25x Lvl + 0.5x Ctr) - Blink & Shimmer now grant CC immunity for their duration.
Druidry
- Noxious Bolt damage reduced (6.5x Lvl + 9x Ctr -> 5x Lvl + 6.5x Ctr) - Charred Vines tile damage reduced (2.5x Lvl + 3.5x Ctr -> 1.5x Lvl + 2x Ctr) - Charred Vines tile duration increased (5s -> 8s) - Ash Cloud damage reduced (1x Lvl + 1.5x Ctr -> 0.75x Lvl + 1.25x Ctr) - Smokebolt damage increased (1.5x Lvl + 3x Ctr -> 2.25x Lvl + 3.75x Ctr) - Reworked Living Embers. Living Embers - Current effect is now the effect when used with no present Sown Sapling. - When a Sown Sapling is present when Living Embers is used, converts the tree into an Ember Tree. - Ember Trees deal damage to nearby enemies and continuously replace Crawling Vines with Charred Vines. They will also attract nearby Ash Clouds into a (non-expanding) vortex around themselves.

- Enchant Blade duration increased (8s -> 10s) - Blades Of Ichor damage reduced (3.5x Lvl + 2x Str + 1x Dex + 0.75x Ctr -> 3x Lvl + 1.5x Str + 1x Dex + 0.75x Ctr) - Blades Of Ichor homing increased by 20%. - Blades Of Ichor acceleration increased by 100%. - Reworked Bloodbound. Bloodbound - At 10 stacks, gain a stack of Bloodlust and lose Bloodbound effect & stacks. Cleanses the user. - While Bloodlust is active, heal for 50% of Bleed damage & gain the equivalent of 10 stacks of Bloodbound.
