New version 1.5! New game mode!

For the troops!

V1.5 is live, it has a brand new game mode called 'Duelling'. Unlock it by beating arcade mode. It has it's own leaderboard also.



I'll be adding a further two game modes next update, trading cards are finished, waiting on Valve.

New version 1.3! + Demo!

This latest version has scrolling floors, and improved parallax backgrounds, some minor tweaks to gameplay, and various bug minor bug fixes. The VG demo is now available!

This latest version has ONE new special move for all playable CHARACTERS, elbow and knee attacks, New A.I plus more!



GYEONG - DASHING UPPERCUT

( Great for defending against jump kicks!)



SIU - TRIP

( A low dash attack, can be combo'ed too!)



MINSO- PANTY SHOT

( Takes out any jump kick!)



REESE - DEFLECT

( Deflects all bullets back at attackers!)

( Blows up yourself and opponent, good if you're losing a match!)

(Takes out any jumping in opponents!)

The AI now blocks bullets and dogs/pigeons/bombs, and is also slightly harder. I also added a new getup animation, plus knee and elbow attacks for close range.

New version 1.12!

This latest version has new background details, refined special moves for controller, resolution code fixes plus more!



I've started adding new cool details to all the backgrounds, the subway now has working digital signs and a working clock. The traffic stage now has a functional billboard for example, more to come!



Added new effects which are more satisfying, there's now a new flash effects for when you last hit an opponent.



Added a new vs screen to break up seeing the blue background all the time, the moves are more prominent/easier to see now also.



You can now set resolutions larger than your desktop. Also any resolutions that your card doesn't support are no longer listed.

OTHER FIXES ->

1 : Refined special moves for controller, they should be perfect now.
2 : You can no longer infinite combo a handcuffed opponent.
3 : You can no longer infinite combo a cornered opponent.
4 : You can now select diagonally on the character select screen.
5 : Fixed steam code crash when uploading scores.
6 : Added fans to courtroom stage,
7 : Added working billboard to traffic stage,
8 : Added more graffiti to prison stage,
9 : Added door anim to alleyway stage,
10 : Added robber on sign to highway stage,
11 : Added vote sang banner to nightclub stage,
12 : Sang now drops money when you floor him.
13 : Added sfx for when you get a perfect or arrest in arcade mode.

New version 1.1!

This latest version has improved controller support, with zero input latency, quarter rotation moves, a new training mode, a dedicated throw button, and A.I ramps up better in arcade mode plus more!



You can now practice against the CPU, there is also a moves list display. We'll be working on this some more in the next update. The CPU blocks currently.



All Controller special moves have changed to quarter rotations, this was from your requests and there's now a dedicated throw button also.

Final Version!



We've just uploaded the final version of Verdict Guilty, and the game will no longer be in Early Access. We'd like to thank the many players that helped shape Verdict Guilty with your feedback and suggestions!

22nd Update! - New Intro!



This version has a new game intro sequence to get you fired up for the action.
The cutscene activates after the retro army logo.

Steam should automatically update the game with this new version for you.

21st Update! - Resolution fix



This version has new code for setting your resolution, as there are issues in that the old code was blocking higher resolutions for some players. We've also fixed/changed the below.

Added electrocute handcuffed anims,
Added sfx for cutscenes,
Added combos for AI,
Fixed electrocute anim,
Fixed weird dot after story victory cutscene ends, in middle of the screen,
Fixed was thrown in corner, grabbed guy went outside the playfield,
Fixed Yohan's bomb does next to no damage if opponent was jumping,
Fixed healthbars shouldn't display < 10,
Fixed P1 & P2 face the same height on select screen,
Changed font for arrow keys, to seperate from movement font,
Changed audio levels so BG music is slightly less than the sfx,

20th Update! - Rebindable keys



This latest version features rebindable controls, you can rebind the keys to whatever you want, for player 1 & 2.

Note that rebinding controls will also change the menu controls, I've updated the onscreen help text to show the new bindings also, and all story mode, arcade mode move prompts will show the new changes.

I've also updated the scoreboard options so you can view arcade and survival scores, and added 1 new acheivement. Get 4 wins in survival mode.

19th Update! - Survival mode!



This latest version adds the new survival mode. In this mode your health continues across matches and life bars are double (Player request). There's a small health regain after every round and you must survive for as long as you can. Survival mode also has it's own leaderboard.
