Important: How to Fix the Crash Issue
Some players are experiencing a crash issue after yesterday's event announcement. Here is how you can fix it.
1) Navigate to ..\My Documents\My Games\ .
* You can simply navigate there by double clicking on the "My Documents" icon.
* You can write the address to navigate there: C:\Users\(Your user name)\Documents\My Games\ . "C:\" part should be changed in case you installed your Windows elsewhere. (Your user name) part should be changed with your username.
2) There should be an "UnrealEngine3" folder in your "My Games" folder. Back it up by changing its name, or remove it.
Sorry for the inconvenience. We will also look into the issue.
Event: Fight Night
Quench your Thirst for Blood in Versus!
Hello, Gladiators!
Fight Night event will be held from 18 Nov to 21 Nov (02:00 AM PST / 11:00 AM CET).
Players who scored more than 50 accumulated kills during the event will get a Gold chest, and those who score more than 100 kills will get a Mystic tier helmet.
We will announce the winner and send the reward on 22 Nov. Only PvP kills will be counted.
Reward list:
- 50+ Kills: A chest, which will grant you a random amount of Gold between 2,500 Gold and 100,000 Gold.
- 100+ Kills: A Helmet of Bloodlust Chest (the gender restriction will be set for the character who's opening the chest)
Note: The item in the image is not yet finished, the visual may change.
Helmet of Bloodlust is a variant of an Imperial Courier Set helmet (male) or an Expedition Armor Set helmet (female). It will have the same stats as the original helmet, but players will be able to equip them 4 levels earlier.
- Original: Lv. 21 Fine Helmet, Imperial Courier Set++ (male) or Expedition Armor Set++ (female)
- Event Reward: Lv. 17 Mystic Helmet, Helmet of Bloodlust (male/female).
- Reward items will have the same stat as the original
Event winners will get a chest for the item. The gender restriction of the item will be set for the character who's opening the chest.

Event: Rise of Gladiators (15 Nov ~ 22 Nov)
Rise of Gladiators event will be hold from 15 Nov to 22 Nov (PST 02:00 AM, EST 05:00 AM, CET 11:00 AM and KST 19:00 AM).
Rise of Gladiators event is an enhanced version of Warrior's Weekend weekly event.
During the event period, you will get 30% higher EXP and Gold reward from both Versus and Solo mode.
Please note that it will NOT be applied to the private games!

Dev Note: Current Issues and Plan for This Week
First of all, thank you for playing Versus. A hearty welcome to new players, and an immeasurable gratitude for the returning players.
There were several server/client issues after the F2P transition. Our team is looking into it. We did an emergency maintenance (which didn't require server to go down), so that things will run a bit more smooth. We are expecting the server to take a day or two to be stabilized.
There are some players who are angry about the F2P transition. As we stated in our recent announcements, we have compensated you with in-game currency, and are going to send you more compensations as we update new contents and systems.
We were planning to update Co-Op map and new taunts this week. But we will be focusing on fixing critical bugs and stabilizing servers first. There will still be new taunts, possibly along with new skills and fine equipment crafting. We will try to update Co-Op as well.
Additional information about new contents:
- New taunts: "Gladiator's Salute" and "Respect" will be added to all combat styles. "Ready to Die?" will be added to Hwando, and "Warmed Up!" to Shielded, exclusively.
- New Skills: Warhammer and Dual Wield will have get new skills.
- Fine Equipment Crafting: You can craft a fine equipment. It cost fewer resources and take shorter time to be crafted than a unique equipment. Each recipe will decide a level of equipment, whether it will be an weapon or an armor piece, of which armor set. But you won't be able to craft an individual piece you want. Instead, you'll get a chest which will give you a random equipment matchinig the level and equipment type of recipe. You'll be able to get recipes from scrapping Crude, Normal or Fine equipment.

Reminder: Get Your Paid User Compensation!
We are sending out paid user compensations today. You will be able to find them in your recently played character's message box. Be warned: if you have no character, you will NOT be able to get the paid user compensation.
- 1,500 Ruby: Ruby is an in-game currency which you can use in Ruby Shop.
- Weaponmaster's Chest: Weaponmaster's Chest is an item which will reward you with a random Lv. 30 Legendary weapon when opened. Weapons available from Weaponmaster's Chest were once given to Early Access players via a series of weekly events, and not obtainable in-game anymore.
Also, they will be regarded as a premium users in the upcoming updates, getting additional compensations when it is applicable.

Update: F2P Transition
For the Free-to-Play transition, there will be a server maintenance and the client update.
It will start on 3:00 AM PST / 12:00 PM CET, and may take up to about an hour.
Patch note:
- Level up bonuses for skills were adjusted, so that high level skills won't become too strong.
- Additional damage modification, such as Bleeding Poison, Shattering Poison and Flesheating Poison were nerfed to have less damage bonus.
- A bug where item modification effect would not show correctly was fixed.
- Taunts and Finishers now cost Ruby to be learned.
- Solo mode games will provide less Gold reward, and more EXP reward in general.
- General Gold cost for crafting, modifying, refining and reparing max. integrity was adjusted.
- General Gold cost for selling items was adjusted.

Versus is going F2P on 11th Nov!
Versus: Battle of the Gladiator will become a Free to Play game on November 11th, 10:00 AM PST.
This doesn't mean we are going Pay to Win. As we always insisted on forum and game description, Versus was intended to be, is, and always will be a competitive and skill-based game.

Update Plans for November
We are planning to update the following contents for Versus: Battle of the Gladiator in November, along with the Free to Play transition.
- Skill Rebalancing (2nd Week): Level up bonuses for skills will be adjusted so that they won't become extremely strong at the max level.
- Item Modding Balancing (2nd Week): Modding bonuses for equipment will be adjusted so that heavy modding won't be extremely effective. Some bonuses such as addtional damage bonus will be nerfed, while others such as weapon balance stat bonus will be buffed.
- Co-op mode (3rd Week): Starting with "The Magia Cult" co-op map, Co-op contents will start to be updated regularly. Players must cooperate in order to defeat challenging opponents.
- Taunts (3th Week): More taunts such as bowing and cheering will be updated!
- Boosters (4th Week): Players will be able to buy Gold/EXP boosters at in-game Ruby Shop. Aid your teammates by sharing your booster bonus with others!
- Crossbow (5th Week): Crossbows will be placed in some maps as a temporary weapon. With its high Piercing damage, you will be able to engage your opponents from a safe location, away from the heat of the battle. But crossbows have an ammo limit, high stamina cost and low kill score, not to mention that you have to aim a moving target. It is recommended to use them as a secondary weapon, when you think it's not safe to engage your opponents directly.

Versus Will Be Free to Play in November!
Versus: Battle of the Gladiator will become a Free to Play game in November. The exact date is to be determined.
This doesn't mean we are going Pay to Win. As we always insisted on forum and game description, Versus was intended to be, is, and always will be a competitive and skill-based game.
Those who bought the Early Access version or the official release version of Versus, will get following rewards as a compensation.

[SERVER IS UP] Update: Max. Integrity Repair and Ruby Shop
After about 30 minutes, there will be a brief maintenance for both server and client update.
This update will add the Ruby Shop, modify max. integrity system so that you can repair items with raw materials, and add some new icons for crafting items.
Patch note:
- Ruby Shop is now available. You will be able to buy service items such as Skill Retraining Ticket from the Ruby Shop.
- Players can repair the max. integrity of an item with materials for 50% success rate.
Repairing max. integrity of items with the same item will now completely repair the max. integrity with 100% success rate. - Crafting items such as recipes, mod recipes and raw materials have new icons. Check out a screenshot here!
- Players can modify an event item Skull of the Fallen. It has 2 mod slots and 3 mod chances.
