No Episode 2 Planned

We regret to inform you that there will be no Episode 2 for the video game Vesper. Sales to date have been too low to allow us to invest in a sequel.

However, we have maximized Episode 1 to offer a complete gaming experience, including 11 playable characters, 300 missions, 100 arcane cards, 100 summons, 200 active and passive powers and 400 items.

The adventures of Vesper continue beyond Episode 1 in comic book. The saga of Vesper is complete in 4 books.

We would like to thank everyone who supported us.

Version 1.0.0 - corrections and rebalancing

2 new active powers for Redgrave: "Patibulum" & "Staticulum". (Unlockable in the reminiscences)
2 new items to discard and redraw cards. (Available from Chapter 2)
Added the number of action bars used at the top left on cards in combat.

New "reminiscences" button added on the defeat screen. The "quit" button has been renamed to "world map".

The Ultimas of Vesper and Zarak no longer harm neutral units.
The "Dominator of The Ekklesia" has 4 additional armor points.
The area damage of Ligrias' "Wind Splitter" power is increased by 50%.
Difficulty of missions 5-1 and 5-2 reduced.
If you haven't unlocked Crimson yet, he appears during mission 7-1.
Mission 7-7: The boss Joachim has 15% less health.
"Generous Donation" costs 1 less ether.
The area damage of Crimson's Ultima deals double damage. His Ultima now consumes only one action bar, and its animation has been redone.

The Crystal Arena

New game mode: "The Crystal Arena" (unlocked from Chapter 2)

- The arcane card "Tianok Stable" reloads 1 action bar to all allied units.
- The spawn of aecrysts (crystals appearing on the ground and giving ether) have been recalculated. They no longer appear after a character's free action.

- Fixed a bug where equipment equipped on a character could be sold.
- Revenants with long-range attacks that pass through enemies can target the furthest opponents.

- Fixed a bug in mission 3-3 if not playing with Vesper.

- Added a visual effect for the vestals' base attack.
- Chapter 5 is slightly less difficult and the bosses less resistant.
- Remove the card limit of your deck (previously was 60 cards max).
- Mission 1-10 can now be completed with Sulcia, allowing you to complete the achievements from chapter 4.
- The "Scourge of the Rebellious I" ability does 25% more damage.
- The judge slows characters down by 25% instead of 50%.
- Ligrias' "Slash in the Knee I" attack slows characters down by 25% instead of 50%.
- The arcane card "Generous Donation" costs 3 ethers instead of 2.
- All Crimson spear powers now hit 2 squares.
- The unit "Benetactress" can heal.
- The unit "General of Sylvaestris" summons 2x faster.
- A bug with the healing spell of the unit "Conjurer" was corrected.
- The bonus of the item "The Hermit's cards" corrected.
- In missions where the ether gauge is deactivated, the blue bar is no longer animated.
- Djalynx, Redgrave and Joachim can no longer have passive bonuses for additional syl gains.

The Aecryst Mines

- Attacks can move back several characters.
- Area damage from Ligrias' does twice more damage.

- If the last opponent cast a power when they die, the victory screen will not appear after the last power has been triggered.
- If all the allied and enemy are knocked out at the same time, the game is lost.
- In the "load game" screen, the picture changes if you have finished the game. In this case, no more missions are displayed.
- Redgrave's "Sword of Justice" attack moves correctly when the opponent is not on the same row.
- Ligrias moves correctly when attacking on an empty square with area power.
- The Joachim's Dome don't stuck the game anymore.

- Ice Storm takes 3 slots instead of 2.
- Last chapters' Steam achievements corrected.
- Sulcia's items corrected: "Cards of the Libra" and "Justice Cards".
- Zarak disappears correctly during Vesper's wheelblade animation.
- The description of Joachim's light spells has been corrected.

- Sulcia's base attack can no longer be dodged.
- Elemental attack powers have been rebalanced. The tornado and lava powers do more damage.
- Poison damage has been increased (+100% to +200%).
- Lubikai's limit requires 1 action bar instead of 5 and summons 2 extra units.
- The Ligrias limit requires 1 action bar instead of 5. The limit does 2x more damage and the defence reduction lasts 4s instead of 2s.
- Sulcia's limit: 'Forest of Thorny Vines' requires 1 action bar instead of 4. The limit does 50% more damage.
- All 6th chapter powers cost 1 less Ether and 1 less slot in the power choices.
- The hero no longer loses his turn when using the consumable "Feather of the Winds". Damage is no longer displayed in red.
- The cost of summoning the "White Garm" unit has been reduced from 2 to 1 ether.
- Telluric Blades" damage reduced from 2 to 0.6.
- You can now use the 'War loot' arcane card in missions where units cards are forbidden.
- Added a visual effect for vestal healing abilities.
- The Tharvillion has less life and is more vulnerable to Ultimas. (mission 5-3)
- Ligrias can use the passive powers "Insaisable II" and "Quick II".
- Lubikai can use the passive power "Reinforced armor II".
- "Cave Harpy Feathers" equipment has had its purchase price reduced from 75 to 25 syls.
- the "Nacarat Coat" equipment loses 3 action bars instead of 5.
- AP gains reduced in the first chapter.

- Equipment bonuses are now correctly applied to heroes summoned during a mission.
- Corrosive Spores" items now have an icon with a downward arrow.
- Ligrias' 'Armor Breaker' power now correctly reduces the physical defence of his target.
- Fixed a bug where the character would not return to its initial position after a dodge.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to freeze when a garme died from poison and triggered its power automatically.
- The name of the effect is displayed correctly when a character sets foot on a Mandragoria flower.
- Characters no longer have a "wounded" animation when they receive an Aegis bonus.
- The blocking sound effect now works on all summons.
- Balanced Throwing Dagger" consumable sound effects have been corrected.
- Storm Harpy damage is no longer displayed in red.
- Fixed display bugs when using the Mandra Goria as a summon.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to freeze when using Regrave's "Sword of Justice" attack (mission 5-5).
- Fixed a block that prevented victory if a boss was defeated by poison.
- The main bosses have been added to the bestiary.
- Lubikai has been added to the bestiary.

Version 0.7.9

Following feedback from players, here is an update that greatly rebalances the characters of Lubikai and Ligrias. Lubikai becomes more of a tank with the addition of the provocation ability and an armour to his thorn shield. Ligrias plays as debuff and gets 6 new abilities.

Temporary event:
- You can buy the character "Crimson" at the last mission of the 1st chapter.

New content:
- 1 new arcane card: "Funeral procession".
- 6 new active powers for Ligrias: "Poisoned daggers", "Slash in the knee", "Blade breaker", "Armor breaker", "Weakening of physical defences" & "Weakening of magical defences"
- Experience and level of cards are displayed on Battle Results. Experience bar is displayed on the entire card display.
- When your equipe an item, the tooltips display a comparison with the already equipped item.
- On the Shop, you can disable the "auto equipment" when you buy a new item.

Balancing:
- Cost reduction of the character "Lubikai" : ether cost 5 => 4
- Cost reduction of the Arcane Card "Assault of the Ekklesian Riders": ether cost 6 => 4
- The power "Triple Slash" of Ligrias: Needed level 12 => 11, Cost 10 => 15
- The power "Quadruple Slash" of Ligrias: Cost 10 => 20
- The power "Slimy Mucoid Projection" of Ligrias: Needed level 14 => 13
- The power "Poisonous Mucoid Projection" of Ligrias: Needed level 24 => 14
- Delay of the power "Great Web of Fire" of Vesper/Sulcia decreased: 0.5s => 0.1s

- The active power "Provocation" of Lars can be used by Lubikai.

Bugs:
- The active power "Provocation" corrected. Now, this power correctly provokes all the opponents.
- In the equipment screen: a bug with the drag-and-drop was corrected.
- Passif powers don't give additional XP if they are equipped on several characters.
- The icon of the item "Extra-large Prisoner's Wrap Skirt" was corrected.
- Labels of active powers "Double Rempart", "Fortress of Shields" & "Impassable Barrier" of Lars display the correct armor bonus.
- When you go back to "Formation Screen", the current team is displayed instead the team 1.
- The animations of the active power "Greater Lightning Spear" were corrected.
- The animations of the Ultima of Zarak were corrected.
- The foreground is not displayed in front of healthbars and damage numbers.

Minor additions:
- Active powers need to be used to gain XP. (before, you gained XP when it was equipped)
- The active power "Thorny Shield" of Lubikai display damages of counter-attack.

Missions:
- Chapter 1 - Mission 4: music changed.
- Chapter 2 - Mission 3: Ennemies in the second waves are weaker.
- Chapter 4 - Mission 1: music changed.
- Chapter 4 - Mission 2: music changed.
- Chapter 4 - Mission 3: music changed & Ennemies are weaker.
- Chapter 4 - Mission 4: The monster: "Huge Pig Prisoner" have less sharp resistance. -25% => -50%

Changes:
- Several locations of powers in the 4th skill tree have changed.
- The option "Display Effect Icons" is checked by default for new players.
- The equipments "clawed Mounting" of Zarak are now sorted in headgears.
- In the Equipment, the button "Special Equipment" is renamed "horses" and only display horses for Crimson.
- The icon of the effect "Reduced Defense" changed from a shield to a broken shield.
