Hotfix Aug 25th (Linux, Mac OS X)


  • Fixed Linux/Mac OS X stucking in loading screen
  • Added confirmation on `Exit to Menu`
  • Capped the required number of Aether Charges for legendary weapon effects to 10 (previously 15)
  • Fixed showing of Bounties on the map when they're out of reach and not found

Lightning Gun


  • Shock - duration is now visualized with a charge-up bar
  • Lightning Ball - lightning ball now bounce off walls instead of fizzle, making the attack much more viable in tight spaces. The duration has been reduced to compensate.
  • Lightning Trap - this skill has been reworked so that it now creates a Lightning Trap at a given position. While the trap lasts it sends out pulses that damage and electrocute enemies. At the end the Lightning Trap explodes the same way it did before. It is possible to avoid the explosion effect by jumping over it.

Scythe


  • Reap - Increased attack speed. Split timing now applies Vulnerable instead of reducing the cooldowns of special attacks. New sound effect for split-timed attacks.
  • Shockwave and Whirlwind - remaining cooldown is halved when at least 5 different enemies are hit with a single attack.

Legendary Weapons


  • Vengeance: Increased the damage of meteors triggered by the legendary ability
  • Vengeance: Decreased cooldown of the legendary ability
  • Vera: Increased explosion damage
  • Meteor: Increased the damage from the meteor special ability

Destiny Cards


  • Added legendary versions of The Sun, The Moon, Hope, Strength, The Knight, The Beast, The Rogue, The Guardian, The Bishop and The Slayer.
  • Hope - increased health bonus by 25%
  • Greed - doubled gold drop bonus
  • The Sun, The Moon and The Guardian - increased damage and damage now ignores armor
  • The Slayer and The Bishop - grant healing based on the hero's max health
  • The Beast - increased armor penetration bonus
  • The Knight - increased armor bonus by 20%
  • The Rogue - doubled bonus critical damage
  • Strength - reduced Destiny Point cost of rare variant, increased effect for common and uncommon variants
  • The Guardian - reduced Destiny Point cost, increased proc chance and added a chance to electrocute the target.
  • Justice - increased Destiny Point cost; Thorns buff reflects 66% of melee damage. Reflection is calculated before Armor is applied and ignores the Armor of foes
  • The Hunter - doubled bonus damage on split timing
  • The Reaper - added a refund of 1/3 of the soul shards spent on Shockwave or Whirlwind. Also increased the damage bonus granted to Shockwave.
  • The Saint - reduced bonus armor to 15 per divine card
  • Lightning Strike divine property - increased damage and proc chance. The strike now ignores Armor and causes Weakness for a short duration
  • Damage while above 90% divine property - modified damage bonus range
  • Remove negative condition on kill divine property - reduced the cooldown
  • Brutality on full overdrive wicked property - increased proc chance

Weapon Properties


  • "of the Leech" - now heals for percentage of max health
  • "of the Wolf" - Increased proc chance
  • "Vicious" - increased max bonus to 100 crit damage

Demon Powers


  • Increased the damage dealt by all demon powers

Other User Requests


  • Added option to set the size of user interfaces
  • Number of secrets found is shown on the world map
  • The spawn spots of some hard-to-find bounty targets are indicated on the radar
  • Display Resolution can be set in Windowed Mode
  • Added option to scale Render resolution
  • Power Stones for Weapon Properties now include description of the property
  • Added practice dummy in Castle Zagore

General Fixes


  • Revised weapon damage - It is now possible to reach the intended max damage with all weapons with transmutation. Existing weapons outside the intended range were patched
  • Expired Bounty Hunts and Treasures can no longer be shared
  • Fixed the damage of some wrongly generated uncommon and rare weapons
  • Fixed a transmutation bug that displayed maxed damage for some weapons that weren't maximized
  • Fixed removing of demon power buffs when the in-game menu opens
  • Fixed rare issue preventing the Know-it-All achievement from unlocking
  • Fixed freeze on level-up when character is dead
  • Fixed crash on map change
  • Fixed crash on pasting from clipboard
  • Fixed randomly occurring crash

Multiplayer Chat


  • Reworked chat scrolling with Up/Down arrows or LB/RB
  • The chat doesn't scroll to the bottom when someone writes
  • Selecting a comment now gives you the option to whisper the author
  • You can now switch between Game and Room chat rooms when single player in MP game
  • Chat window in the Online menu isn't closable
  • Fixed chat blinking caused by people writing in another room

  • Improved mouse-movement controls
  • New Transmutation recipe: Combine 3 Dyes to get a random Dye
  • Removed user limit for Treasure Hunt/Bounty keys
  • Number of deaths is now displayed in the Save Slot info
  • Locked Destiny Card slots are now shown in the inventory
  • Changed the way Epic buff scales health and damage; Epic monsters and monsters in the Botomless Pit rebalanced

Born To Raise Hell Through The Ages

Feast your eyes hunters, on the first images for the upcoming Motörhead Expansion - Through The Ages.
This will be an official expansion for Victor Vran, and will see all manner of devastated landscapes, dystopian urban environments and other elements all influenced by Motörhead’s history and lyrics. The expansion will be available on PC Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, with further platforms to be announced. More updates to follow!

It is a big day for Victor Vran, demon hunter extraordinaire! Today's update marks our official release and graduation from Early Access. Early Access has been an amazing experience for us at Haemimont Games and we'd like to sincerely thank everyone involved for their contributions, feedback, constructive criticism and, above all, just for playing our game!

Development will not end today. We will continue to improve and update Victor Vran with free features and content. Here is what you can expect in the near future:


  • The free Tome of Souls DLC will introduce a brand new weapon type that unlocks new active abilities and a spellcaster playstyle. Of course, there will be legendary tomes of forbidden words and endless power, such as The Nekonomicon and Fifty Shades of Slay.
  • The free Highlander Outfit DLC will open even more character build options and an exciting new look for the title character.
  • The free Cauldron of Chaos DLC will add a huge new map which will offer a randomized layout, encounters and daily challenges.
  • A Local Coop multiplayer mode will allow two players to play together on the same system.

We're going to keep the integrated in-game feedback tool, activated with F1, so if you wish to share your thoughts on Victor Vran, please let us know!

  • Players that participated in Early Access and didn't get their Wanderer's Outfit should get it on their next visit to the Hub
  • Transmutation - Create a random Power Stone from any 3 Power Stones that you don't need
  • Fixed a Bounty monster that didn't spawn
  • Fixed item duplication exploit
  • Fixed destroying items with Gamepad
  • The Barbarian secondary effect now has an internal cooldown of 10 sec.
  • Changed Treasure Hunt rewards
  • Divine and Wicked effects with fixed power are no longer upgradeable

  • Sort and compact for the Stash
  • Mark items as favorites. Favorites are always sorted first

  • Lightning Gun - increased base damage
  • Rebalanced Treasure Hunt rewards and difficulty
  • Treasure Hunts require slaying all monsters in the vicinity
  • Treasure Hunts and Bounties properly reward all participants
  • Added new monster waves in Bottomless Pit
  • Nova - shorter cooldown of the special ability

Just a few days before our official release at July 24th we're at our most important milestone yet. 95% review approval - wow! Thanks for helping us make it better! Early Access has been immensely productive for us and Victor Vran wouldn't be what it is today without YOU.
