We are happy to announce another Update for Viking Rage!

With Viking Rage Update 1.4.1 we are updating Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) to the latest version available: 3.1.1. Also we updated the Online Services for Viking Rage eliminating some bugs in the process.

Keep on Rocking, Vikings!

Update 1.4

We are happy to announce another Update for Viking Rage!

With Viking Rage Update 1.4 we are introducing Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) to the Game. Using DLSS you get a much better picture while also saving on the performance side. It's basically a Win-Win scenario! At least as long as you're having a GPU that supports DLSS...

Also Update 1.4 brings Cloud Settings with it. That means that your games Settings like the Video or Audio Settings are stored in the Cloud and available from wherever you log-in.

You can find the DLSS Settings in the Video Settings. For Cloud Settings you don't need to enable anything. We already did that for you.

Have a lot of fun with these new features!

Rock on, Vikings!

Update 1.3 (OpenXR, Performance & Stability Improvements, Statistics Rework)

We are happy to announce the latest Update for Viking Rage!

OpenXR
We are now supporting OpenXR, the open VR Runtime Platform. By that we enable you to play Viking Rage with all sorts of Headsets and Controllers, even ones that don´t even exist yet!

Performance & Stability Improvements
Hundreds of Improvements regarding the overall Performance and Stability of Viking Rage makes the game run at even higher, smoother framerates.

Statistics, Achievements & Leaderboards Rework
We completely reworked the Games Statistics, Achievements & Leaderboards System to be Cross-Platform compatibel. Achievements not unlocking etc. are now a thing of the past.
For the moment the Steam Achievements / Leaderboards will not update, but be guaranteed that your progress is already stored safely and will soon be implemented to be seen!

We wish all of a lot of fun playing Viking Rage!

Changelog 1.1

We´ve got some pretty exciting news. It turned out that we´ve actually got a lot of Vikings trying to join the battle with different battle gear. So we decided to welcome them in Valhalla. Say hello to our new friends, the Oculus Vikings .
To give them a warmly welcome, (and also to test their battle skills) we implemented quite some new features.

<*> There is a completely new level: Helheim. Only one large wave! No Gate to defend here. You really don´t want them to break Hel free.
<*> Valraven joined the enemy team. Kill it to become a mighty giant . Just use your new power to crush the enemies like little toys. This feature is only recommended for experienced VR users ;)
(We loved this feature so much we implemented it in all our levels.)
<*>Access to all levels granted. No need to prove you are able to handle the heavier levels. Just show us if you think you are tough enough.
<*> New Enemy: Testral. His shield destroys arrows and throw back your axes. You need good timing to get a hit on this one.
<*> We´ve unlocked all weapons so you´ll be able to kill the enemies with the complete arsenal of weapons you deserve as a Viking.
<*> We´ve implemented a mighty “kill all” weapon in Asgard. Are you able to find it?
<*> All minigames are unlocked! You can find them in the Main hall
<*> Wolfgolf. Golf little wolves
<*> Asgard sandbox mode to test your skills
<*> Target shooting with 4 different game modes

  • Crossbow
  • Axe
  • Bow
  • Bomb

<*> Ship bombing. Teleport to stay alive
<*> A lot of different sounds and music’s implemented to strengthen the vibes of Valhalla!

And we are still not done yet. There is still more to come. Thank you all for your ongoing support and feedback. It´s highly appreciated!

Changelog 1.0

So here we are now (entertain us). ːsteamhappyː

A lot happened the last weeks. So there are quite some new features for our 1.0 version here on Steam.

<*>The Bow now attaches to the Player by default so you don´t have to keep the trigger pushed while holding it. You can disable this in the settings!
<*>We made it more clear for players how to open the pause-menu (settings).
<*>The Asgard minigame was enriched by Thors Hammer so you can easily clear the mess you made
<*>We were made aware of that an eye shouldn´t look that fleshy after getting burned for quite some time... ;)
<*>A new minigame (well, actually 4 new minigames) were added. Will you be able to find them all?
<*>The enemy souls leaving their crushed bodies now fly to the gate to fill up your Rage-O-Meter
<*>All levels got a music rework. They fit together perfectly now
<*>A new Troll joined Wolfgolf to help you club all these little wolfs
<*>The rotation for the miniatures in the bestiary was fixed. Now you can look at these little cuties from all angles you wish to
<*>We improved the rage mode for the axe even more. If you don´t be careful everything will burn and be blown away
<*>We gave the Kobold a new backpack to carry all of his bombs. It´s very dangerous for him if he gets too close to fire so be sure you don´t launch something burning in his general direction ;)
<*>We improved the bombs. They burn down everything, push enemies away. And if you forgot to ignite it try using an arrow ;)

There are also some things we are working on that will have a huge impact on the way you´ll kill enemies in Viking Rage. Also we are working on a new Level with new features, new enemies and an awesome atmosphere that will follow up soon. Stay tuned for news on that!

Changelog 0.9 (Release is getting closer each Day)

    Hi fellow V(r)ikings!

We are very proud to present you our nearly finished version of Viking Rage (as far as the release features are planned ;) )

We are always thrilled to hear from you guys! Give as feedback, send us your ideas and biggest hopes. (Yes, Thor´s hammer is under construction...)
You can contact us at beer@vikingrage.beer

    Here is our changelog:

<*>So, let´s start with the most important one: Explosives (Bombs, Barrels etc.) throw back enemies now! That´s awesome. No, really. It´s awesome. ːsteamhappyː
<*>Explosives don´t kill you (sorry for that!). But your listening experience decreases a bit. We also got rid off the timer and used some norse power to give you a hint. #NoTextRendererAnymore
<*> Because everybody seemed to like blowing things up, barrels and traps are now resetting after each wave.
<*> A true viking earns himself his weapons. You will have to fight some enemies to get all the different weapons and levels. We also integrated 2 secret levels.
<*>Our enemies had the urge to do double or even triple the amount of damage. We didn´t like that very much so we fixed it. Also we gave them some funny accessoirs from time to time. Just to punish them for this bad behaviour.
<*>Since talking about double damage... we´ve integrated the new rage trigger for axe and bow. A viking should be able to chose when it is the perfect time to get enraged.
<*> We reworked some player positions in the world of Nidalevier. You may need to blow some things up. But explosions are awesome (Did we mention that yet?!)
<*> Added a timer for the Ice Arrow. So for now on you won´t freeze your enemies if you don´t really feel the urge to freeze them.
<*>We made the boss more powerful. He has his own music (aka more power) and starts shaking the ground. Will you still be able to beat him to death?
<*>For the headphone users... we improved the sound quite a bit for this fancy 3D surround feeling you all seem to love.
<*>The Trolls got so fat, they leave footstamps on the ground. They also dissolve after death to show you their beautiful intrinsic values.
<*>A lot of people wasted essential war time watching all this fancy animations in the bestiary instead of killing stuff. Now you will need to at least kill the enemies first, to watch them dance.
<*>Level fading integrated. You are drinking mead. So at least your view should get dizzy for some time.
<*> We created a lot of new enemies in Muspelheim. No, really. New enemies. These are not our other enemies with new skins.
<*>Also general improvements in performance. It´s not because a lot of people said they don´t have a gtx 1080 (well, there were some people saying exactly this), but it´s because
