Villagers released on Steam!
Dear friends and players of Villagers.
Today, after two years of dedicated and passionate development by our team, we are finally able to release our baby, Villagers, into the wild. Thanks to the feedback of our closed-beta-players and Let's Players, we have been able to upgrade the game to a v1.004, including some fixes and improvements.
If you enjoyed playing it, please feel very invited to leave a review - if you didn't, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us here on the boards and let us know what we could do to improve your playing experience.
We are currently working on some additional freeplay maps and even some neat new features that we will be adding to the game within the next weeks in several free updates, so stay tuned for more fun to come along.

Beta Patch #2
As you may have already seen, there has been an update to the game. Some of you have reported crashes and empty houses. We fixed these two major bugs and further improved the game.
Villagers is coming to PC, Mac & Linux on the 25th of March. Don't miss out, put Villagers on your wishlist now!
Read the full list of fixes and improvements:
Fixed several issues that lead to the game freezing/crashing.
Villagers will no longer be in fear of moving into empty houses.
Fixed an issue where raiders that successfully stole resources led to corrupted save-games.
Beer bought from merchants was not used in taverns, this is now fixed.
Merchants who are leaving your village can no longer be traded with.
Villagers that die because of their age will no longer break the game.
Moving forwards and backwards are now re-bindable in the options menu.
Fixed focusing of the game window in Windows.
Time speed-up now has steps of 1x, 2x, 5x & 10x.
The proud owners of Logitech G-Series keyboards will see magic on their LCD screens now.
Upgrading a building will no longer freeze the camera zoom.
Added first German spoken dialogue. Later, all dialogues will have German voice over.
Fixed an issue with the rain sound.

We have just released the first patch for all participants of the Villagers Beta. This patch focuses on fixing the Barn and its profession, the Shepherd.

Fixed an issue where villagers would not move into houses, if the preceding inhabitants died.
Fixed re-spawning of starting villagers, when canceling and re-placing the townhall.
Added a "No Workers Assigned" message to the window of building sites, to alert players that they need to have at least one villager in the "Worker" profession.
Fixed an issue where the outline of clickable objects would not disappear.
Added new music tracks to freeplay. Also: Improved sound environment in the main menu; soundtrack will now shuffle-play in main menu.
Generally improved balancing of sound levels.
Fixed unreachable resources (trees, stones), especially on the mountain map (chapter 3).
Fixed several issues with the stork. It should reliably fly in the babies now.
Fixed several issues while loading a level: Music won't restart anymore and loading hints won't change so quickly anymore.
Improved the falling animation of trees when gathering for wood.
Added snow and rain particle effects.
Fixed several issues with the barn. Also: Animals will now actually be visible at their assigned spots in the barn.
Fixed a bug that led to crashes or skipping of seasons.
Fixed raiders in savegames: they were not able to pick up resources.
Villagers will now only be unhappy about a raider attack, if they actually steal resources.
Fixed an issue, where villagers would not be able to get sick in any savegame.
