Post Release Updates

Hello everybody, players and community of Vinylove!

It's been 5 days since the Early Access release of our game Vinylove and it was great to see gameplay videos, streams and articles popping up one after another.

I've been following almost all the feedbacks that we've collected this first week after release and I'm happy to announce the first updates that were done to deliver a better experience to anyone.

Update Meat

  • Voice Acting: we worked with voice actor Andy Mack and did all the voice over for the game, so that now Alex's got a voice, increasing the immersion.
  • Selecting Songs: we added another system to allow people who don't have music on their computers or who don't want to go and find the exact file to complete the game using in-game selectable vinyls. There are no music files, just the covers (that's for copyright issues), but you will be able to find the 10 correct songs inside the (growing) group of 76 records.
  • The Mouse Bug: we solved the bug that caused the focus to be shifted after a Alt+Tab or similar operation, making impossible to continue playing like it didn't happen. Now, performing game exiting operations will not affect the gameplay as you will be able to jump back in and get your focus back on the screen's center point.

Small fixes

  • Outside the window: someone pointed out that the night empty sky was "immersion-breaking", and I think he was right (but I was quite okay with the "dreamy" and "abstract" emptiness). So I added some background elements to make you think you're not living in the middle of nowhere.
  • Camera mode: I updated the camera mode with another cool shot of the outside elements. We have it now, so we show it!
  • Other fixes: We did some small stuff including fixing some unheard voice tracks, fixing some audio effects here and there and other things I honestly don't remember.

What's next?

To end this update post I would like to announce everyone that we'll be featured in a GoGoBundle.com bundle this weekend, togheter with some other awesome games. You'll be able to get at least 12 things, games and DLC's, for under $2! So please if you're interested in playing Vinylove don't miss the chance to do it at such low price!

Also, I'm writing a couple guides and adding content to the community hub of the game. I'm also planning an in-game tutorial system to let you start immediately without having to read some guides or ask to someone.

We're done for this update.
We appreciate all the love that's coming and we want to personally thank every single person who bought the game: thanks for supporting this project, this is something I've always wanted to do!

Have a good game with Vinylove!

Release day!

Happy release day!

Hello players and Steam community!

I'm happy to announce that Vinylove is finally available!
It's September 10th and we're happy to present our little creature to the world out there, you can buy it and play right now!

As I said in my previous announcement, the future of the game it's up to you: as an Early Access title I have a lot to work on and a lot to improve, but I'll need your feedbacks and advices to make it the experience you'd want to play.

The game will be in Early Access state for 6 months, where we'll have to decide whether the project deserves a full polished version or not.

For now, we're happy to announce that it's available and its future is in your hands, the hands of the players who will be happy to try our little game and give some very important feedback to our developing team.

Big Update

Another important announcement: this week we'll have the first major update that will include:

Voice Acting
We worked with an awesome guy that did all the voice acting for our protagonist Alex, and we can't wait to know what you think of it!

Bux Fixes
We also worked on the first round of known bugs we found.

It's all for now, we'll be back really soon with new announcements and stuff!
Happy release day everybody!

Welcome Vinylove on Steam!

Hello players!

I'm the lead developer of Vinylove and this is the first day of our little game's presence on this platform.
First of all I would like to thank everyone who already played the game and supported it on our itch.io page, it's been such a pleasure to see how many of you were interested into this project.

Vinylove is coming to your screens on September 10th 2018: in about three weeks.
It will be a short but we hope meaningful experience based on the deep relationship between music and memories, and you will be able to take a look at this little slice of Alex's life.

The game is in early access mode, so there is still a long way to make it a full polished product, but we hope to see a growing interest for it so that we will be more than happy to expand it into a full story.
The price will always be (no matter if early access or full release) no more than $2.99 and will eventualy decrease in special occasions or following the players' reactions.

We at Space Banana Studio are waiting for your feedbacks and we hope to see you guys interested in this our little game.

See you really soon for incoming updates and posts here on the game's page.
