If you have received a consumer-ready retail version of the Oculus Rift on Monday March 28th onwards, and already own the game from Steam Early Access, please read below:
As a thank you for supporting us through Steam Early Access, you are entitled to an Oculus Store key code in order to download VR Karts for free.
Please note that this offer only extends until 30th June 2016.
Please send an email to ‘support @ viewpointgames dot co dot uk’ with your Steam receipt, Steam alias (the one to the right of Community if you open the Steam application) as well as any other evidence that you have to prove your purchase of the Steam Early Access version. Once we’ve validated your purchase, we will email you your key directly.
The VR Karts Early Access version will still be available if you own it and will still be playable on a DK2 with the 0.8 Oculus SDK.
VR Karts 2.2 is live!
A small update to make VR Karts compatible with the Oculus 0.8 runtime.
Other improvements include:
Added wins per session in the online lobby
Added race points leaderboard on the tablet in the frontend
Improved online chat functionality
Online multiplayer kart smoothing
Added customised profile name back in due to popular demand
Tweaks to the Portal / Beehive weapons
Some small improvements to the visuals
VR Karts 2.1 is live!
The latest update includes:
Portal weapon - Allows you get back into the pack if you're lagging behind
Beehive weapon - Distract the player with a beehive on their head! Shake your head to get rid of it.
Online points added
An exclusive preview of the Beach environment
Input fixes to allow easier remapping for other controllers including XBox One controller
Moved around menu options to make Customisation more accessible
Added customisable player name back in

VR Karts Update 1.3 is live!
The new update includes:
• Upgraded VR Karts to Unity 5
• All Levels and Karts have all been resized to better match real-world scale
• Upgraded AI Karts to be more competitive
• Increased Amateur Cup Difficulty
• Graphical Polish – Added new “boost trails” to Karts and upgraded damage smoke
• Added selectable Kart Horns into customisation menu
• AI Karts now have their own custom horns.
