There will be new updates rolling out this week. Tomorrow, a new walkthrough tutorial will be getting added which will guide you through the controls of the game. A lot of people still don't know there's a watch on your left hand wrist, and if you press on the face of the watch, a menu will pop up and you can go back to garage from there. Tomorrow's update will also add steering sensitivty control and (fingers crossed 🤞) wmr fix.
First week or two, updates will only consist of bug fixes and community suggestions on changes of current stage. After we are through this phase, I will start rolling out updates with newer content (new modes, newer cars, environment, and other things that were promised). I will be posting a new video on the current stage of the upcoming stuff in a few days. You guys will love the upcoming updates.
And again guys, here is the Discord link if you want to message me privately or join the community and makes suggestions there: https://discord.gg/qTAKgRB
You can also email me at puregamez14@gmail.com alternatively.
Thank you all for your continued support 🙌
And please guys message me if you need help and are having trouble launching the game. I'm not getting responses from most of the people that are complaining about issues. I won't be able to fix the issues if I don't know what problems you are having 😢
WMR Update

Game is released!
Game is launched! Who's going to join me in freeroam?
Release time approaching!
Official release is approaching fast. I'm very excited to finally launch the game, and pretty happy on the excitement from the community. Although the game is launching in Early Access, it won't be an incomplete game. Even in its current stage, it will give you plenty of enjoyable experience. But, it doesn't stop there. With your help, we can make "VR Racing" the best VR game, not just the best VR Racing game. There's a ton of content planned, and plenty of intriguing suggestions from the community for the future updates. I will soon be uploading a new video showing off the current progress/stage of the planned content. Update 1.0 (which will be coming very soon after launch) will feature a more lively environment, with Pedestrians and Traffic system to accompany you in the lonely world of Freeroam. You will be able to do alot more with Pedestrians than just see them walk around. More info on inreractions with the Pedestrians will be released in the video. Other things coming in the update will be ease of powersliding and more smoother drifting. Update 1.1 will feature two new modes: mini-mode with kart racing, and a drift mode (a track designed specifically for drifting and special drift cars). Update 1.2 will allow you get out of the cars, have multiplayer carmeets, and freely move around outside of your car. Alot more things suggested by the community will also be added as well (and being worked on), like cops (suggested by "DjBasA"), Customization mode to modify your cars, and most importantly additional car models.
Lets have a blast at launch and get as many people online as possible so everyone can find multiplayer matches. We can make it the best VR Racing game with your support! Your support on launch will help tremendously.

Update on Release
I have been gong back and forth with Steam and Oculus Store. They have been holding back the game's release due to performance issues on lower end GPUs (VR's minimum requirement). But, a new build has been submitted since yesterday. I will update the status on that later when I hear back. So far it seems like I will be launching the game on Steam first, and Oculus Store will come afterwards.ːsteamsadː
Meanwhile that was being dealt with, I started working on some new stuff for the game. I had been thinking about what type of things I could add in the game, and while playing GTA, it came to me that i should add Pedestrians in the game. I haven't worked on it yet, but I'm seriously considering populating the environment with people and more stuff to make the game more lively. I'm also thinking of adding a character driver in the game so you are an actual character that can get in and out of cars and do car-meets online and more. What do you guys think of the idea?Let me know in the comments.
I did already start working on a new environment and new cars (Lambo Huracan, Porsche, etc). Check out the images in "Artwork" section of the community page and let me know what you think. During the run with the Beta Testers, I tested with 12 people instead of 6 for the freeroam which was pretty fun so I'm considering increasing the number permanently. Also messing around with Customization for cars at this point (very early stage). Add new rims, spoilers, bumpers, body kits, change color of car, new skins (camo, and more), etc. I will show off some of the new skins for the cars in a couple of days. What are your guys' thoughts on that? Do you guys like the new environment? Any car requests? Here are some pictures:

I have also started working on a mini-game mode involving karts! For the mini-mode, 6 players will race across the finish line in karts while fighting each other. Players will be able to pick-up power-ups on the environment. Power-ups will include boost, mini-gun, laser, missiles, and ram bar. You can destroy each other's karts to get ahead. The environment for the this mode will be a race track. Here are some pictures of the karts (these are not all the karts-only the ones that are finished so far): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1It667Bh5V540Xw6c-SmaHWAj7iKEzQaH
I will upload pictures for the environment very soon. You will be able to customize the karts as well. Will show off that as well very soon.
As I have earlier a couple times, I work full time and go to school full time so I get very minimal time to work on the game. To combat this, I have created a Patreon. If enough support is received on Patreon, I'll be able to quit my job and dedicate all that time towards developing the game. As an incentive, I have been thiking about how to support the backers on patreon. I have decided to give people instant access to the game as a reward for supporting on Patreon. You will receive a key for Steam for the game if you support the game on Patreon. an additional perk to Patreon backers will be that they will receive an exclusive car (Ford GT) which will be only available to patreon backers. Read the Patreon page for more info if you are interested. I will be posting some additional pictures and videos on Patreon to show off what's being worked on and what's already done. Here is the Patreon link: https://www.patreon.com/puregamez
I'm also working with another developer to do a combo bundle so anyone that pledges VR Racing on Patreon (a certain amount) will receive another VR game on Steam; still WIP.
Again, you can email me at puregamez14@gmail.com or join the game's Discord server and message me there: https://discordapp.com/invite/qTAKgRB
NonVR Freeroam Clip is also up
Second video on Store page is the new clip for freeroam in NonVR, playing with controller this time. Going to work on getting racing wheel integrated soon. Anyone want to help me by donating to help me purchase a racing wheel? You will receive a special skin for all the cars with your name on the car as a reward. Please email me at puregamez14@gmail.com with subject "Racing Wheel" if you are interested.
Freeroam Video is Finally Up
The freeroam video is finally up. This time, instead of me doing a screen capture, I had two Beta Testers test out the freeroam for the first time and had them record a video, so you guys can see their first impression and reaction on the game. Sorry, their audio didn't capture that good. the mic seemed over sensitive. But, they were chatting thru the game so you can see chat is working pretty seamless. The only problem is in connections across different regions (sometimes--not every time). Well, as you can see, pretty much everything is complete. Game should be up veryyyyy veryyy soon. Just going to do a little more additions to the roaming environment, to make it a little more lively. Let me know your thoughts on the roaming below. Will be uploading more videos on freeroam as well.
Also, I haven't gotten a chance to respond to emails this week. I'll be responding on the weekend. Sorry, been working overtime at job this week.
Update on Release
I have completed some tests with the Beta Testers and chat seems to have some issues still, mostly for users from different regions. Working on getting that under control soon as possible. Sorry everyone, I know it's pretty frustrating since it's been over the planned date. It's just I have too many things to deal with (job, school, the game development, etc) solo so it's a bit time consuming. Don't worry though, trying my best to get it out within a week. Will show some chat tests with the Beta Testers soon.
I had been playing around with some other stuff, like NonVR capability for like controller and keyboard/wheel support (too many people asking were asking for it). It was just experimental, so it needs a lot of tuning. Going to finish off the VR part first, then perhaps roll out an update for other controllers' support. Check out the video though to see how the test went Video is on the game's Store page (second video)..
I will also be posting some new screenshots and videos to showcase the final version of Freeroam.
Updated Videos
As promised, a new video showcasing the latest features is already up. The current video only highlights the Solo Session's features (a couple of things weren't shown in video). More videos on Freeroam Multiplayer and other features will be up by tomorrow.
A couple of highlights of new features:
-New updated Navigation System
-Handling improved and made much smoother
-New UI, including the in-game watch
-NonVR capability (video will be up by tomorrow showcasing NonVR)
These are just a few highlights. Full list will be up by tomorrow.
I will also be dedicating tomorrow to responding to emails. I have received a lot of emails but never got the time to respond to them. The latest video is the very first one.
Leave your comments here on your thoughts on the new UI.
