Dev Announcement: Update Progress

Hey everyone!

I'm sure many of you are wondering where the updates are. I'm in Switzerland right now for physics research - I'm here until July 28. I tried initially to update the game through teamviewer/git/etc. but that turned out to be quite the hassle considering how much of my time is spent at research (also my primary laptop died completely - that doesn't help either). For this I am deeply sorry, but do please understand that I have been trying.

Nevertheless, the game will continue to be updated after I get back to the States (after July 28) and I will try to push updates as much as I can. Things that I will focus on immediately:
-adding formal tutorial
-fixing problems with picking up items
-fixing problems with trackpad locomotion
-fixing issues with quest progress
-any other smaller bugs
After all the bugfixes, my plans are to focus on:
-balancing - I would like the game to be a bit harder :)
-an overhaul, to an extent, of the gather/crafting system. I would like all of the items you can gather to be useful for making armor, for example, rather than something to just sell.

5/27/17 Update - Major UI changes, bugfixes

Update notes 5/27/17:

-Made UI for inventory, vendor, and cooking static to be more easily read
-Added "Save" button
-Interactions now happen with the right controller - this way, you never have to press the "grip" on the left controller to talk to someone
-Fixed quests not saving for "return to menu"
-Fixed issue with goblin quest not completing
-Fixed issue with collisions for picking up wood and ores
-Added controls section to menu
-Added more animal spawns and increased drop rate on deer pelts
-Fixed issue with not being able to do certain things with arrow in hand

Lots of big updates essentially, focusing on the UI. I sincerely hope that these changes will greatly improve the quality of using the UI - and the game - for everyone! :)
