Hello, friends! How are the Christmas preparations going on? Are you in rush trying to find presents and sweets?:sc_bag:
It is hot in our studio too, because we are actively discussing the enemy-robot.
You've helped us greatly with choosing its concept by voting. This is an important choice to make indeed since it will determine how you are going to see the enemy and how he will see you in multiplayer mode!
The most important task is now ahead of us - add facial expressions to the robot. Even though it sounds weird, but after playing a few games with confrontation, we've realized that it is very important to see the opponent's emotions. For example, anger, when he is hit, joy, when he wins or annoyance in case of defeat.
We want to please you with the results of our hard work and new emotions!:Robot1:

Star News!
Friends, there is a movie coming to the theaters soon, and even if you do not love it, you've definitely heard of it!
After "Transformers" and "Thor", we could not miss "Star Wars" out. Now there is a huge object flying to each city which resembles a huge Death Star. You are not going to see a real Death Star, so you should enjoy ours.
And, since we've managed to grab your attention, we would love to tell a bit about what is our team busy with at the moment :)
Our game designer Denis began to code so that the development of the progress goes faster. With his own hands he is creating character's health system, which is necessary for him in order to create a possibility add an opponent. Our main goal is to prepare enemy AI, which will be fun to fight with using methods which are already used in the game (throwing hammer, using a sword and etc.). To make it a really nice one, we want to test our idea using multiplayer - if you find interesting fighting each other, AI will also be fun to fight for you.
The area we've shown you on a gif about locomotion is a piece of a new map we are making exclusively for multiplayer. A robot dummy which is just hanging in the air is your future opponent. We will tell you about everything in detail when the map or the robot will get more "ready".
And in the end, a piece of insider information about what our programmers are doing while Denis is coding for them ːsteammockingː

Locomotion
Greetings, friends!
I've told you that we are working on locomotion a few times already, but seeing is better than reading, ain't it?
Before making this come true, our game designer spent some time playing different games to see the good and the bad examples of locomotion. ːsteammockingː
As you can see for yourself, the teleport is no more, and all the movement is done using controllers, and the player is changing the speed of movement to his liking. This mechanic is only a small part of the global rework we have in mind.
The option we've shown you today is not the final one, we will make it better so that all the movements seem smoother and none of the players could feel dizzy.
We will also continue to work on the enemy robot, adding multiplayer and dealing with leaderboards. Which of these implementations are you waiting for the most?

Fly like a hummingbird!
Greetings, friends!
Today is the Black Friday day, the best time to check sales and updates out! Let's begin with something pleasant - until the end of November, you will be able to purchase the game with a -45% discount.
And something about even more exciting - today I will tell you about the changes which are coming to the game with this patch.
Optimization:
We've managed to reach the heights modern AAA-games only wish to reach - 90 FPS! To make it easier for you to imagine how fast is that - this is an average number of wing-strokes hummingbird makes per second (We mean a small hummingbird, just in case. Large hummingbirds clap their wings slower than our FPS before optimizationːsteamhappyː)
Hurricane improvement:
We've told you about this enhancement in announcements - now the hurricane carries around not only houses but also robocitizens. And it became much higher, yep.
Hotfixes:
We've fixed the «Pick up robo-citizen» achievement, now it is correctly given to everyone. Huge thanks to our community member, FunkeymonkeyTTR, who told us about this issue.
I can't wait to tell you more about our plans:
Our programmer, Anton, is busy working with leaderboards. We wanted to add them to this version, but something went wrong. We will dedicate our time and efforts to fix the problem and make our best to make you happy as soon as possible.
Our technical artist, Dima, is studying the question of locomotion in the game. You've asked us about this for multiple times, and we want not only to make it but to make it comfortable, which will take some time.
Our artist, Vadim, along with our game designer, Denis, are actively working on the new concept. We will share our thoughts in process.
Have a nice weekend!
Voting results
Friends, on the past week we've asked you to participate in the game development and choose the concept of the robot you like the most.
We've counted out all the votes from all the platforms, and our winner is number 2!
I believe you are already guessing why did we need this voting. I will help you a little bit - remember the title of the poll. Yes, you're right, this is how you are going to look like in the game! Try to guess, who will see you like that?
By the way, don't get sad if you are not a fan of green color. Our artist had promised us to draw many skins for this robot ːsteammockingː

Which VRobot are you? #2
Friends, thank you very much for participating in the development of our project!
We've counted your votes here, on Facebook and on Twitter. We found out that there are 3 winners out there. They are №5, 12, 13.
Because of this we've asked our artist to draw these three options in more detail and now we begin the second stage of voting.
Please vote for the painting you like the most. We will tell you why and what for are we choosing this soon. ːsteammockingː
Which VRobot are you?
Friend, we are in need of your help!
Our artist Vadim has drawn 15 concepts, and we do not know which one to chooseːsteamfacepalmː
Which robot from these concepts would you like to play for? Write your answers in the comment section, please help us make this tough choice :)
You shall stand up!
As you already do know, we are working on improving the hurricane in the game. The infernal tornado summoned by the player blows away everything on its path, swirling fragments of the houses, cars and even robocitizens round and round.
When the hurricane goes quiet, dozens of robocitizens fall down on the ground. These tin cans are not afraid of the weather cataclysms, they shake it off calmly and walk further like nothing has happened. That's why we are creating a citizen animation called "getting up" since there is no such things at the moment: robots that are lying on the ground almost immediately teleport themself into upright position and are ready to run.
To create a correct animation we had to drop our animator down a lot of times, telling him to "stand up" later (that's a joke, folks, no harm was done to our lad).ːsteammockingː
We want to share what we've developed with you! And what do you think, what other new animations can be added for robocitizens?

Why do designers not sleep?
Hello, friends.
Thank you very much for leaving your commentaries and ideas on how to make the game better!
We agree with you that it is fun to play now, but we wish the game's gameplay to become deeper, meaning it will be not only about "crash it all down". By speaking to our players, we've generated a few ideas on how to make the game more diverse and interesting.
The first idea is to add strategic element.
For now, it looks like so: people are moving to cities captured by the player. The player appoints governors for each city. Depending on the decisions made by the governors, the cities bring in resources and grant you access to new weapons (for example, tornado-gun can not be obtained without any efforts, it must be developed in one of the cities first).
To make city life less measured and boring, we are going to add new events, such as monsters attack or meteor rain, which can affect the city like and demand player's attention. Your little governors can make decisions on their own, even wrong ones - for example, give the city back to robots.
The second idea is to give you an ability to build your own personal city.
But we are still rather skeptical about this idea, since you will undoubtedly want to attack the cities of other players, and this will turn the construction of a metropolis of your dreams into designing boring inaccessible boxes-fortresses.
That's why if we stick to this idea placement of every building will dictate player's access to weapons and its strength/range. For example, if you want the Tornado - build skyscrapers or something like that.
We also have some nice ideas on developing the robocitizens' behavior systems
For example, you will gather a retinue of little robots with time, which will be able to penetrate some buildings' protective shield and destroy those from the inside, swim to a remote lighthouse, shoot down aircraft (friendly SuperRobot 3000)
And while our game designers are racking their brains, the hands of our programmers are actively working on improving the current functionality.
Nikita made it possible for a tornado to spin rotocitizens and cars right round and carry them all away. Yes, they (and cars, and fragments of the houses) will now be sucked into the heart of the hurricane.
Anton is busy with leaderboards configuration. If everything goes according to plan, you will be soon able to see how effectively do your friends destroy cities.
We are glad to hear all of your ideas and wishes out in commentaries!ːsteamhappyː
Hammer in PumpkinBots
Hello, friends!
We came across an idea that hitting pumpkins with two hands is really boring. That's why we've added the hammer to the city of PumpkinBots.
Be careful - if you swing the hammer too hard you may get covered up with fragments of smashed pumpkins!
We've also added achievements: for unlocking new towns, as well as for various activities, such as smashing down the Trump Tower with a hammer or a nice blow to the Robot's head (aye-aye, this annoying lad can be hit ːsteammockingː )
We hope that you will like these updates. And, as always, all of your comments and suggestions are very welcome.
Have a nice weekend ahead and have fun while smashing things!
