We introduced you to the lovely Canela in December last year 💖 Now, it’s time to meet Ax, the final character in our Wander Stars profiles! 🗡️
A proud member of the menacing ‘Four Sword Pirates’ 🏴☠️, Ax is a formidable fighter who’d rather cut up his foes than talk sense into them! While his kiai ability is powerful, it can be difficult for him to control. Under his Captain’s orders, Ax and his loyal companion Domino are in hot pursuit of the Wanderstar map. Their search for the missing pieces brings them directly to Ringo and Wolfe…
Given their patchy history, there’s a tense atmosphere between Ax and Wolfe. The pair were partners in crime in a past life until things turned sour. If you want to know more, you’re welcome to ask, but good luck trying to get it out of them! 😖 Awkward reunions aside, Ax only has one priority: find all the pieces of the Wanderstar map by any means necessary. 😤

Meet Canela, the affable witch healer of Wander Stars!
Back in November we were introduced to Wolfe 🐺, the no-nonsense loner travelling across the world of Wander Stars. This month, Canela is excited to meet YOU! ✨
As a young witch proficient in the healing arts, Canela’s magic is a blessing for her friends - especially since Ringo and Wolfe always find themselves in troubling situations.😅 By using the power of song, Canela’s singing channels her kiai in mysterious and powerful ways… 🎶
When she’s not bailing out her team, Canela loves to cozy up with a riveting adventure book. And don’t get her started on tea parties 🫖 – you’ll get an invite and it’s mandatory to attend (the tea is rather delicious, we’ll admit ☕). Just don’t spend too much time with her, Canela finds it draining to be around people (who doesn’t?), but she’s always keen to make a new friend!

Meet Wolfe, the mysterious drifter of Wander Stars!
Last month we met Ringo, the protagonist of Wander Stars, in her very own character highlight! 💥🥊 But she’s not the only one searching for the pieces of the Wanderstar map…
Introducing Wolfe, the no-nonsense loner with a shady past. 🐺 His single motivation in life? Money, and LOTS of it (after all, an easy and carefree lifestyle doesn’t come cheap! 💰). After following a piece of the Wanderstar map, Wolfe’s journey is forever changed when he crosses paths with Ringo
After a brief spat, the pair realise their cooperation is essential to finding the remaining pieces of the Wanderstar map. 🗺️ For Ringo, the full map might be exactly what she needs to locate her missing brother. As for Wolfe, he’s not divulging personal secrets to just any random stranger! Though he might change his mind for the right price…
Set on their course, the duo will travel far and wide on their adventure across the stars! 🚀🌌 Wishlist Wander Stars on Steam and play the demo now to experience a small part of the upcoming game’s story!

Meet Ringo, the scrappy wordsmith of Wander Stars!
Want to know more about the colorful characters of Wander Stars? Across the next few months, we’ll give you the rundown on each of the game’s main cast, beginning with our protagonist, Ringo!
A young martial artist, Ringo’s life-long dream is to become the champion of the Kiai Tournament, a sport where combatants transform words into powerful attacks. She lives with Anzu, her kiai master and reliable caretaker.
While running errands, Ringo meets a mysterious loner named Wolfe. After a rocky introduction, the pair uncover a piece of the Wanderstar map, a relic that Ringo believes will help in finding her missing brother, Nashi. 🗺️
Thus begins Ringo’s spacefaring journey to find the remaining pieces of the Wanderstars! 🚀🌌 Wishlist Wander Stars on Steam and play the demo now to get a taste of the upcoming game’s story!

Here are the changes and fixes for the newest demo patch:
Added a fix for a randomly occurring softlock when closing the pause menu. The dark overlay would refuse to leave and wouldn’t let the game continue. Darkness eradicated.
Using rewind (pause/game over menus) in certain conditions wouldn’t recover cooldowns or replenish the player to full HP.
We have now added additional fixes for different ways to trigger this previous bug “Fixed a softlock fighting a boss where the final hit white VFX would get stuck on screen, rendering the rest of the playthrough unplayable.”
“Softlock happening late in the demo where characters fail to show up in combat.” This issue continues to pop up for some players, and we have attempted more solutions. If you experience this issue again, please let us know with any info you can provide in hopes of tracking down the origin of the problem.
Fixed an issue with the combat buttons that would change the text of the buttons to placeholder text and render the buttons unusable.
In the previous update we changed the way SP is used. But it was still possible to increase your spirit slots above your limit when words were already placed in any of the slots. It is now fixed.
Trying to add a second elemental word when one was already in a slot, would let you add another word on top of the element. Basically two words would share the same slot. Exploit fixed.
This is a game in development, and we encourage any feedback you can give us to improve the game even more!
