Dev notes I am happy to announce Wandering Star is now officially in ALPHA! With this update comes mostly cleanup but some new feature too. Balancing was done in order to make the game truly "winable" it was to begin with, but even on easy it felt like Nightmare mode. Next few updates will be about polishing up what is currently added, along with new abilities and skills for each class.

MAJOR Main menu overhaul rework. Redid all code, now can also use controller.
With the rework to the main menu, game is officially 'full controller support'.
Many new sounds have been added as placeholders for official sounds in the future.
FIXED Cleaned up player bullet effects.
All parts now correctly add onto the ship according to the part found.
Fixed the Level 4 door not playing the 'standby' animation.
No longer able to build the Extractor with you under it.
Bullet spawning from player, drone and turret have been cleaned up.
CHANGED Enemy power curve for later game has been lowered.
Part requirements to be found has been lowered on all levels.
Increased Turret range for level 1.
When putting parts on the ground, places them based on the grid.
Better collision detection for building when a player or building is on the same tile.
Easier to see controls in the player select screen.
Resource movement for collecting and storage now is on bumpers instead of Dpad.
Enemies do much more damage early game.
NEW Detect if Player 1 is mouse or keyboard based on what is used in the main menu.
Sounds that have been added-
- Mining Rock, Copper, and Obsidian.
- Rock and Obsidian breaking.
- Placing a wall/door.
- Repairing a building.
- Installing a part in the ship.
Known Bugs Trying to play 2/3 player, without using the player 2/3 controller.
Use controller for Player 1 when playing multiplayer, mouse not working right. (WIP to fix)
0.6.5.0 - PreAlpha
Sorry for such a long time since the last update! Been too busy to do much work, as of this update getting rushed. (Going to be away from PC for 2 months starting the 28th) There were plans to have much more this update and go into Alpha, but got cut short by unexpected delays.
Hopefully, with the next update, there will be more time and other things put into it. Lots of place holder images have been used or sounds, these will be changed for the Alpha.
MAJOR Few sounds have now been added into the game.
Most of these are place holders, getting ideas for future custom sounds.
-Placing buildings.
-Rock crumbles when mining it off.
-Rock mining makes a sound.
-Sword tool "swooshes".
FIXED Debug button not resetting but still shows the info.
Minigun glitching out if you stop firing, then refiring it.
CHANGED Updated the main ship image.
Minigun ability bullets have a new image and animation when hitting something.
Enemies will no longer show the health they are at.
GUI for your resources has been updated.
Minigun ability changed over from a "Timer" to "Ammo" for how long it lasts.
A more clear way to know how to upgrade your tools in the select wheel.
Flying enemy Firetail will spawn on day 3 and later.
NEW As you repair the ship, image changes. (Will be more images in the future)
Combat Drone ability has been added for the Fighter.
Rush Hour skill has been added for the Builder.
Mine Field ability has been added for the Builder.
Beacon ability has been added for the Scientist.
While using Minigun ability, switching your mode will end it early.
All new quest/guide at the beginning of the game to help you out.

Hello everyone! This will be the first "Dev blog" post. These posts will be for updates or letting you know what is going on before any updates are posted or just general feedback.
Currently as announced in the Discord channel, next update is planned to be Alpha! Meaning we will finally have a base setup for the game and can move forward to polishing, improving and adding tons of new features.
Now with this being Alpha, it is expected to take longer than most updates. Not months and months, but progress was slowed with me not being home for a full month. Now that I have returned, work can continue and pushing out the first Alpha build!

MAJOR New GUI for Player Select.
Player Select's Core was rebuilt to handle future updates.
FIXED When building at the time of a win/loss, crashing.
Stun ability for Scientist not working.
All storage sharing the resources.
Upgrading pickaxe Stats Info displayed stats related to the Sword.
Was able to upgrade and remove without using the Wench on large buildings.
Enemies no longer stand near the base sometimes, instead of attacking.
