You can now spawn 2 new board effects in the form of ice and stone blocks that blocks the path for sliding units.
Added more customizations
You can now adjust the turn timer when playing hotseat and practice matches.
Version 0.6.21 is here, bringing you a simplified mana system.
- The current mana system seemed good in theory, but didn't turn out so well in practice. We have simplified it by removing the need to manually assign mana to units. Instead, units spend mana through a shared pool, removing the need of first assigning it before you can use it.
- Players have a max value cap of 15 mana, encouraging players to spend it, rather than hoard it.
- Compensation mana is now granted to players when a unit is lost. The amount is based on the units power level (PL). 100 PL = 1 mana. 200 PL = 2 mana etc. It increases the chance of a comeback for players when they suffer a loss.
- Bugfix: Poison and Fatigue resulted in errors for certain type of abilities that evaluated state during the end turn phase.
Bugfixes
- Fixed an issue with local packs not showing in dropdowns - Fixed a potential issue with old decks not being possible to save or clone
Minor bugfixes
- Fixed an issue with win conditions not evaluated correctly during a draw
Fatigue feature added to prevent stale matches
When matches get stale, meaning there are no units destroyed for multiple turns, then fatigue will kick in. It will slowly fill the board, causing any unit that touches it to get a fatigue counter on it. When the this counter reaches zero, the unit is destroyed.
This helps to speed up matches, but remember that it is the first version, so some adjustments might be added in the coming weeks based on your feedback.
We are working on a single player campaign!
Got some exciting news to share. We are working on a single player campaign for Wardens, since competitive play is not everyone's cup of tea.
This includes: - Move across an overworld map with multiple branches - Unique boss battles - Campaign specific card unlocks - Add one special warden-unit to your deck that has powerful abilities
Adjustments to the new mana system
You can now save unlimited mana (there is no cap at max 3 mana saved until your next turn). There is instead a limit of how much you can spend per turn, set to 5.
Minor fixes
- Hotseat did not show unit threats for player 2 correctly - Selecting a portrait when creating a unit didnt show the movement dialog correctly behind it when closed
Minor fixes
- Tag values can no longer become negative - Showing a banner when the opponents turn starts
