Hotfix for Daily Rewards!

Hello Space Marines!

Today we have a hotfix update for Daily Rewards! Wait, you didn’t know there were Daily Rewards in the game? Well, it turns out that they were broken.

Now we have a fix!

First, make sure each of your characters has Daily Rewards unlocked, which is currently set at 15 Stars.

You can earn Daily Rewards on each of your characters. Be sure to take advantage of this by logging in with all of your characters daily. Also, you can skip a day and it will still keep your progress. You have to save Mithra on your own time, so no pressure!

You may see Gold on your Daily Reward. We DID NOT bring back Gold. All this means that your list of Daily Rewards was generated before we removed it and it is legacy.

If you manage to earn that Gold through the Daily Reward, you may even get a special bonus as we reclaim it back from that character (or another, if that character has already had Gold reclaimed).

We hope you get something awesome!

Event: Calling All Reinforcements! (July 6 - 10)

Hello Space Marines,

Another event coming your way starting July 6th, at 1:30pm Pacific (today)! From now until July 10th, we are reducing the number of Stars required to unlock new characters to 12, down from 45.

We want everyone to get out there and find their favourite to play, as each character has some pretty awesome abilities and unique starter Missions.

If you’re not familiar with how the unlocking works, here is the rundown:

Brother Praetus of the Ultramarines is unlocked by default. Earn 12 Stars total with this character, from any difficulty of Mission, to unlock…

Brother Demos of the Blood Angels. Earn 12 Stars total with this character, from any difficulty of Mission, to unlock…

Sister Septima of the Sisters of Battle. Earn 12 Stars total with this character, from any difficulty of Mission, to unlock…

Brother Mordecai of the Dark Angels. Earn 12 Stars total with this character, from any difficulty of Mission, to unlock…

Brother Pyrrhus of the Salamanders. Earn 12 Stars total with this character, from any difficulty of Mission, to unlock…

Brother Vargsson of the Space Wolves. And that is it!

Let us know below which character(s) you favour, and why. We’d love to hear from you.

Have fun,

Omega

Summer Inferno Event starts now!

Greetings Space Marines,

The fires of Mithra are burning and you can feel the heat! Discover special new Wargear to truly set your enemies ablaze.

Starting June 30th, the Summer Inferno event will be running for all players. Accept our gift of the first Wargear in the Summer Inferno series, the Summer’s Flare.

For a chance to find more powerful versions, seeks out Epic or Legendary Elite enemies, found in Gold Tier missions. These nasty greenskins have been looting the Wargear caches are are trying to make off with these powerful Accessories.

Also look towards Fireteam Missions, where you can not only earn valuable Blood Ore for increasing the Level Max of your Wargear, but you can now find special Event Caches with new Wargear that helps light your foes on fire! Once they are burning away, it is the perfect time to use your new Summer Inferno Accessories.

We hope you enjoy this event and have fun seeking out this new, exclusive Wargear. Once the flames of the Summer Inferno have died down, you may never see these again!

Carnage Champions Patch Is Live! Patch #2

Hello Space Marines,

We just released our second patch for Warhammer 40,000: Carnage Champions! This patch includes some significant changes, including:
  • The removal of IAP and Gold from the game
  • Unique special abilities for each playable character
  • More diverse and challenging encounters throughout the game
You can read all the details regarding these changes and more below!

Requested Changes Made:
Gold Removal:
  • Gold can no longer be obtained in the game. Players who were carrying a gold balance will be given an array of rewards for compensation relative to the amount of gold they had on balance (including a special Helm that will not be available any other way)
  • Removed Re-Roll functionality from daily rewards
  • Removed functionality to "Skip" Fireteam missions with Gold
  • Removed functionality to instantly receive new Quests by spending Gold
  • Removed early-access characters for Gold
  • Removed respawning for Gold
  • Expanding Inventory size is now a Silver cost, rather than Gold
  • Wargear may no longer be upgraded or purchased with Gold rather than Silver (or in the case of Max Upgrade, Blood Ore). In order to compensate for this, escalating costs of rarity have been lowered
  • All cases where Gold was being rewarded have been replaced with other fun things (i.e. players may experience a dramatic influx of Wargear!)
Features:
  • "Boosts" (Grenades, Health Pack, Rage Vials) that could be collected, then used in missions have been replaced with "Abilities" which are not consumables. Grenades, Health Packs, and Rage Vials are now abilities that can be found on one of 15 new pieces of Wargear, granting a consistent # of uses of those abilities each mission attempt. Furthermore, each character has been given a default Ability:
    • Ultramarine: Stun all enemies immediately in front of the Marine for 3 seconds
    • Blood Angel: Knockback all nearby enemies healing an amount for each enemy knocked back
    • Sister of Battle: Launch high into the air leaving behind a short-fuse grenade that detonates, damaging all nearby enemies
    • Dark Angel: Charge forward knocking back and damaging any enemies in his path
    • Salamander: All enemies on screen are lit on fire taking burn damage over time
    • Salamander: (Yep, he gets two!) Heal an amount for each burning enemy
    • Space Wolf: Summon two Hunter-Killers that attack his enemies, then detonate after 10 seconds dealing area damage to any nearby enemies
Tuning:
  • Mission Respawns are now a game mechanic rather than a Gold spend feature. Each character has a default number of times (listed on their stats panel) they may respawn in missions. Now that it’s a mechanic, Wargear that increases the number of times a character can respawn in a mission has been added to the game.
  • Respawning in a mission will reduce the current obtained score
  • Most missions have had an enemy-composition pass. The aim was to give the missions more personality and increase the difficulty to compete with the new Ability and Respawn systems
  • Bulkheads no longer require Grenades to destroy them, instead they are very high-armored targets that are easily cut through with a Power Weapon (or anything else, if you're really persistent)
  • Power Sword behavior redesigned - no longer has a charge, but will execute a whirling attack on the 4th combo hit instead
  • Blasta Gretchin redesigned - now has a charge-up period to serve as a warning (complete with visual and sound effects), prior to firing out his potent blasta shot. Will only retreat while not firing.
Bug Fixes:
  • Esc key will now close the Fireteam Mission panel when pressed
  • Fixed a case where pressing enter could push multiple Quest panels, causing all sorts of havoc
  • Fixed a case where the Options menu could be opened while simultaneously closing other screens
  • Max Wargear info can now scroll with a gamepad
  • Carnage Meter will no longer overlap audio if you're burning through the meter
  • Grenadier Gretchin should no longer be so excited that they launch their grenades off screen consistently
  • Choppa Nob's Charge attack should now be much more accurate as to when it hits something or not
  • Elite Bomba Squigs will now attack after exploding, rather than docilely following you around
  • Crosshairs should no longer appear in the primary HUD after plugging in a gamepad
  • The glow on the Stats button will no longer be ‘much too big’
  • Navigating and Purchasing Wargear in the Armoury will now have audio!
  • New Visual Effect added to Sister Septima whenever she's in a state where she's dodging 100% of all attacks
  • Scrollbars have been added to Friends and Fireteams menus
  • Fixed a case where users would be shown a disabled options button in the Inventory screen
  • Added mouse-wheel functionality to all scrolling panels
  • Squigs can no longer continue to attack while stunned
  • Power Fists can no longer charge-up while stunned
  • Combi-Plasma may no longer be fired after completing a mission while viewing the final score panel
  • Greenskin Infestation with its massive pits and jump-pack requirements will no longer appear as a Fireteam option
  • The Respawn animation was playing at hyper-speed, it now plays at a reasonable speed
  • Blocked damage now indicates the specific amount blocked rather than just the word "BLOCK"
  • Bolt Pistol rounds will no longer start clipping through the Marine
  • Text in the "Search for Friends" field is now a readable colour
  • Sister Septima now displays the correct icon when she is unlocked, rather than a shield icon
  • Loading tips should now be smarter about the tips they give, and be aware of what platform you're using
  • All instances we display score will now truncate the displayed number down if it exceeds 5 places (example: 10M rather than 10000000 or 10000K)
  • Fixed a case where Recommended Friends could potentially break much of the game’s functionality until restarted
Known Issues
  • Steam controllers are not working on Mac

  • Fixed various places where hitting "Esc" would cause the game to become unresponsive until restarting
  • "Bonus Damage + #" affix should now display text in the expected color palette
  • Pausing during missions will now pause the music, rather than stop and restart it
  • Healing Support Units will stop obsessively healing when the mission has ended

Carnage Champions Hotfix Is Live! Fix #1

Hello Space Marines!

Our team recently introduced a fix to a bug that caused incorrect currency markers to be displayed. All currency should now be displaying the correct symbol based on where you are located!
