Updates to W40K: Inquisitor have been released. The update will be applied automatically when your Steam client (in on-line mode) is restarted.

Patch v2.9.3

Fixed bugs - Online mode

  • Fixed an issue resulting in a crash for all co-op party members other than the host, when interacting with 'Guardsmen' NPCs, or when making a morality choice in campaign missions.
  • Fixed an issue where Passive points and passive trees got mixed up between party members in co-op upon a death of a player.
  • Fixed an issue where certain Heroic Deed-related achievements would unlock unnecessarily upon another player joining the player's co-op party.
  • Claiming cabal rewards will be possible again.

Fixed bugs - Offline mode

  • Fixed an issue where attribute points got lost and/or the attribute point counter went into the negative.
  • Fixed relic enchantments' ability to get rolled off of certain items.
  • Captain Ragna van Wynter's shop will feature weapon items again.
  • Fixed an issue that made it possible to roll enchantments not relevant to the character's class.
  • Fixed a controller issue that made it possible to research Tech-Tree upgrades multiple times, potentially raising 'Tech-power' and bringing 'Fate' into the negative in the process.
  • Hardcore Void Crusades will only allow one life again from now on, instead of allowing multiple lives.
  • When removing a selected Tarot card raising the mission level, its effect will be removed as well, contrary to current behavior, where the raied mission level would stay intact.

New QoL

  • When being disconnected in co-op gameplay, an option to 'reconnect' to the party was introduced.

Thank you for your helpful reports and patience!

Inquisitor - Martyr: Offline Mode FAQ

Inquisitors!

Prepare yourselves, for our newest update for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is coming very soon, namely: offline mode! We have been talking about this for a while, and we are finally very close to release. So, we're here to answer some burning questions:

What is the offline mode update?

  • Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr currently requires players to be connected online all the time. We are introducing a new game mode for people who prefer to play without having to connect to the internet.

When will this update be released?

  • May 23, 2024.

Do we need to purchase anything for this game mode?

  • No, it's a free patch.

How is offline mode being implemented?

  • Offline mode will be introduced as a separate game mode. You can choose an online and offline mode at the start of the game.

What is online mode in this context?

  • Online mode refers to the game as it was before this update, so if you don't want anything to change, you can keep playing in this mode with your existing characters and participate in the Seasonal Journey and leaderboards.

What will happen to our current progress and characters? Are the characters transferable between modes?

  • You can keep playing with your characters in online mode and you keep your progress. However, a transfer between modes will not be possible. Offline characters are handled separately in your new offline account, you must create a new character if you wish to play in offline mode.

How is offline mode different to online mode?

  • Simply, you don't need to be online to play. In turn, all online features are disabled in this mode, such as seasonal content, multiplayer, leaderboards and social features. Otherwise, you can play through the entire game and its DLC content offline.
  • If you want to play without having to worry about connectivity, choose offline mode, otherwise, keep playing in online mode to access every online feature as well.

Does this new update indicate that support for Martyr is over?

  • We're not at the end of the line. In fact, a new Hierophant Class DLC will be released in the near future. You'll assume the role of an Inquisitor who can call in multiple acolytes to form a squad. You'll have to use your faith and authority to inspire your acolytes to carry out the Emperor's will and and teach the Imperium's truth to all the heretics in the Caligari Sector.

Expect to learn more about the future of Martyr later this year! As always:

The Future of Martyr: Seasonal Journey & New Class

Inquisitors,

We're proud to announce that the Seasonal Journey is now available for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr.

The Seasonal Journey is the culmination of all the work of past years and all the free updates we've added to the game. This new feature makes all seven previously released Seasons available at the same time for everyone (for free of course). You are now able to pick a Season on the character creation screen from the very first fire-centric Season of Inferno to the most recent ones, and create a Seasonal character for that particular Season.

The Seasonal Journey - including the to-date unreleased Seasons 6 and 7 - is soon coming to consoles as well!

Check out our announcement trailer for the Seasonal Journey here!

That's not all, though. We've been hinting at a surprise for a while now, and today is the day we'll finally come forward with it! We were glad to see that you have enjoyed the Sororitas Class as much as we did, and this enthusiasm has inspired us to create something new for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr.

We are happy to announce that a new class DLC will be available later this year, namely, the Hierophant Class! You will assume the role of an Inquisitor who can call in multiple acolytes to form a squad. Use your faith and authority to inspire your acolytes to carry out the Emperor's will, manage them like a true leader, and teach the Imperium's truth to all the heretics in the Caligari sector!

We will reveal more details in the time leading up to the release, we hope you will like the new features and abilities! And until so,

End-of-Season Maintenance on January 18th, 10AM CEST / 4AM EST & Closure Details

Fellow

Inquisitors!

Season 7 will come to an end tomorrow, January 18th. Starting at 10AM CEST / 4AM EST servers will not be available for a while, as they will be undergoing maintenance.

Although the upcoming Seasonal Journey isn't your usual continuation of Seasons, the maintenance period won't differ from previous such periods. As a little refresher we compiled the ins and outs of the mid-seasonal logistics below:

  • First of all, after the Season of Malediction ends, there will be a nearly two-week period to allow players to sort out their merged gear and characters and prepare for the new tasks.
  • Seasonal characters will simply become non-seasonal, regular characters, so you will be able to keep playing with them. The items you have on your characters, stash, and inventory will also be transferred over to non-season. Seasonal items with special names and enchants will remain - you might find some use to their special enchants during upcoming events!
  • The rewards tied to the Season of Malediction - such as the Store discount bonuses - will not be carrying over. The remaining Seasonal Shards that your character may still possess, while not dropping or being craftable anymore, will be carried through into non-season, however.
  • Currencies like Credits and Fate will simply be merged into non-season. It is time to buy all that extra stuff with the goods you have earned! Crafting materials will be merged as well. Speaking of crafting, your blueprint charges on Seasonal characters should add up to your non-seasonal charges. All your unlocked blueprints, and Inoculator unlocks should be carried over safely as well.
  • Aside of items and crafting, Campaign and assignment progress is going to be carried over as well, of course, along with Ordo and Influence unlocks. Your Heroic Deeds that you have unlocked on your Seasonal Inquisitor should now be unlocked on your regular characters. Heroic Deed progress should be carried over and added to your existing progress, so you may get some additional unlocks!
  • Tarot Card progress should work somewhat differently: Unlocked tarot cards will be carried over, but for the cards in progress, the player will receive the same amount of tarot card items instead. Tarot Seals will simply be carried over and merged into non-Season.
  • Your active missions should remain as they are, such as Intels and Void Crusades.

When all this happens, there should be a longer maintenance period so we can ensure that everything is transferred over correctly. After this period ends, there will be two weeks of inter-Seasonal time so you can freely sort out your characters and stash.

Stay tuned for the all-inclusive Seasonal Journey, kicking off on January 30th, where you can experience the hardships and grueling challenges of all our previous seasons!

Announcing Inquisitor - Martyr: Seasonal Journey

Inquisitors,

Hope you all had a great holiday season, had time to play some video games and also found time to purge some heretics. Let's jump into the new year with some fresh news about Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr, straight from the Emperor's Throne Room.

Season of Malediction will end on January 18 and this will mark the beginning of a new era on PC, more precisely on January 30. The current Season was the final one and it will be followed by something really special, called the Seasonal Journey.

The Seasonal Journey is the culmination of all the work of past years and all the free updates we've added to the game. This new feature will make all seven previously released Seasons available at the same time for everyone (for free of course). You'll be able to pick a Season on the character creation screen. From the very first fire-centric Season of Inferno to the most recent ones and create a Seasonal character for that particular Season.

Watch the trailer for Seasonal Journey here!

All Seasonal features, all Season specific items, all unique abilities and Seasonal objectives will be in the game again, this time permanently. Joined the community at a later stage and missed one of the earlier Seasons or had a really favorite build during one of the past Seasons? Now here's the chance to experience it for the first time or to return to it once again. Check out our Compendium for more details on these Seasons!

As a reminder, the previously announced offline mode, as promised, is coming soon. The Seasonal Journey can also be considered a kind of preparation for the offline mode with all past content made available. And the journey will definitely continue after this as we have some really cool surprises left for Martyr still!

As always:

The Emperor protects!
