Balance Changes and Angron Season
Greetings, citizens,
Chaos Season is well and truly upon us and we leave the sibilant seduction of Slaanesh we are sent crashing into the carefree carnage of Khorne! Yet another Daemon primarch takes the stage, and Angron cares not from where the blood flows.
As we’ve mentioned in the previous Chaos seasons, we’ll take each chaos gods chosen season as an opportunity to deep dive into their specific cards and have a look at their keyword as a whole, so without any further delay lets get to it.
Khorne:
Overall the Khornate roster is fairly undiverse, and while this is to be expected to a degree, Khorne means of waging war is fairly one dimensional we can certainly look to diversify that somewhat. We’ve mixed up a few traits this season and the new Khorne releases add a good number of new traits and tools to their roster, so lets have a more detailed look!
Marrowseeker - Flesh Hound of Khorne +6M
Fairly simple change here, the Flesh Hounds should absolutely be high impact glass cannons, and Marrowseeker wasn’t packing enough cannon, so here we are!
Haska Draxxigor - World Eaters Exalted Eightbound +20W, +10M Berserk -> Fear
The Exalted Eightbound are one of the most durable and intimidating of the Khornate roster, and this is reflected nicely with the transition from Berserk to Fear, with an added buff to melee to counteract that potential damage loss. This also fits their tabletop rules where they force Desperate Escape from those trying to flee.
Kharn the Betrayer - World Eaters Champion +10M
Kharn is, and always will be, a fan favourite and though he’s had a number of changes over the years, his current position of hard hitting coming in and hard hitting going out just really works for him. So, how do we make him better, we make him hit harder, making all the things he does well, even better.
We’ve opted for a soft rework here for Karanak, and the greatest of Hounds, he was a bit underwhelming at 12ps, so promoting him to 18 points makes him a much more formidable damage dealer, and increases his health making him a serious threat.
Lord Invocatus - The Winged Axe +20W
Overall, not in a bad place, the Lord Invocatus works as he is, but needs a bit more of something. Khrone needs good mid-high cost cards, which they don’t have an abundance of, so we’ve kept the price point, and the damage is already devastating, so a decent amount of extra bulk makes the most sense.
Clinkerfiend - Skull Cannon of Khorne Berserk -> Fear
Another change from Berserk to Fear. Clinkerfied has never found a consistent competitive spot despite numerous balancing attempts, so a change to fear should massively shake things up, especially as a very balanced attacker for the Khorne roster overall. What’s more terrifying than being shot at by living flaming skulls after all?
Finally, Skulltaker is a definite favourite among the existing Chaos warlords, effective, simple and brutal. However as a fighter himself he was maybe lacking a little something. As the hunter of mortal champions it made sense to switch over his fairly obsolete Berserk into something more lore appropriate and also devastating with his own special rule. Skulltaker should now be moving from “fun” to “scary” which is also fun!
Aeldari:
Yrule the Deathly Eloquent - Harlequin Troupe Master +5R, +5M
The Troupe Master is definitely a valuable piece as a semi balanced Inspiring Presence piece, which the Aeldari lack many options for, and as such has been seeing a decent amount of play, but is still underperforming, and so an all round damage increase should see it perform well.
Blightsoul - Mandrake Chooser of the Flesh +5M
Heart Thief - Mandrake Nightfiend +5M
Dreameater - Mandrake Warrior +5M
The Mandrak Kill Team is proving pretty popular for its relatively new age, and clear that players want to be taking them more often, but all are underperforming a bit. Taking the bulk of them up a bit should help with this!
Servants of the Emperor:
Arcadian Leontus - Lord Commander Solar Lord Solar: +40% -> +60%
Solar Leontus is struggling compared to the other Supreme Commanders, and now that it's been a decent amount of time since his release, its clear that this number isn’t stabilising. As such we’re giving him a considerable boost to his special rule, hoping to see how it goes from there.
The Beast Killer - House Raven Knight Gallant -1 Cost
Fury of Thaemar - House Terryn Knight Paladin -2 Cost
Although the plan last season was to allow a full 4 knight roster (inc. Canis Rex) as a viable 400pt list, we slightly missed the total needed, so we've fixed that here, so a full line up of maximum machine is now possible!
Chaplain Argastes - Raven Guard Primaris Chaplain on Bike -2 Cost, +5M
For the Space Marines, we’ve picked up a number of older cheap to mid range cards, and just doing a general update to those with below the average stats.
Orks:
Bazza Da Blade - Blood Axes Clan Kommando +7M
A great cheap utility piece and one that suitably synergises with Snikrot, but realistically isn’t bringing much other than his trait. A good melee bump should allow him to contribute meaningfully to that first turn attack.
Blokrotz Flame Spitta - Bad Moons Clan Burna-Bommer -2 Cost
Despite being a flyer with Barrage it is still one of the least popular of the flying options for Orks. Part of this may be that it's relatively new, but it is still slightly above curve in cost for the other flyer options.
Ufthak Blackhawk - Gargantsmasha +10W
Definitely a powerful card that is starting to see an increase in play, but currently with mixed success. A bump in wounds doubles up with the Endless trait to make this a noticeable increase.
A decent mid cost option for Tyranids, which is always valuable given most of the range is split between very cheap and very expensive. Ranged is still the second choice for attack type except for Zimot, so the Pyrovore is a good choice for a buff.
A card players definitely wants to be playing more of, but as a triple attacker needs decent levels to be playable. While levelling and waiting on a full set of shields its below average health for its cost was definitely holding it back, so a big boost in wounds should make it much more viable at any level, and help it stay around to provide the maximum Inspiring Presence buff.
And as always we have the full list of cards added to the general pool this season:
Nasser Svodnor - Genestealer Cult Primus Eldric Lhaska - Genstealer Cults Iconward Preece of the Blessed Limb - Metamorph Leader

Balance Changes and Fulgrim Season
Greetings, citizens,
With a short break for the Knights we’re back full swing into the Emperor’s Children with the start of Fulgrim Season. We’ve got supreme commander Fulgrim arriving on the scene with the appropriate amount of fanfare, and make sure to check out our next livestream for the full preview!
This now leads on to the third consecutive season that has had Chaos as a focus, and with the other chosen legions of the remaining gods yet to come, we’ve toned back the Chaos specific changes somewhat this Season. With the Emperor’s Children cards all being brand new, and the general Slaanesh cards being addressed in the previous Season, there are just a few small changes to generic Chaos Space Marine cards this season, and the World Eater, Thousand Sons and Death Guard changes can all wait for their upcoming Seasons.
With that lets get stuck into this months balance changes:
Chaos:
Repandros Malifect - Iron Warriors Warpsmith -2 Cost
As has been mentioned a couple of times, Chaos doesn’t have as much easy access to utility pieces as other factions, so we’re also moving the Warpsmith down in cost as another Medicae option. Flenser - Black Legion Warp Talon +6M
An older Chaos card, and another utility piece with Target Acquired. Upping the Melee should help make a more impactful turn 1 strike.
Ullim the Unmerciful - Night Lord Chaos Lord with Jump Pack -2 Cost
As a card with Deathblow and Scout, the Choas Lord is really aiming to be a momentum piece, with its first and last turns being the most important. As such it is most useful when not consuming a large amount of deck real estate. A drop in points should make it much more effective in that role.
Haarken Worldclaimer - Herald of the Apocalypse -2 Cost
Another Lord with a jump pack, Haarken is one of the oldest in the roster. He’s in that tricky spot for an infantry model on the 40pt mark where the BGH tag makes him much more vulnerable, but at exactly 40pts he doesn’t have the stats to counteract that penalty. Bringing his cost down, out of range, rather than up with a significant buff seemed the correct choice and should hopefully see the classic card getting more play.
Servants of the Emperor:
With last Seasons Knight Season, the Chaos Knights significantly out performed the Imperial Knights, and were also able to field 4 knights (including their new Warlord) in a 400pt deck. As a result we’re doing an across the board pts reduction for the Imperial Knights to hopefully make a full thematic Knight deck more fun and viable in Apocalypse and 400pts Campaigns.
Scythe of Mars - Questor Mechanicus Knight Moirax +10M, +10R
Kolossi - House Raven Knight Valiant -3 Cost
Hound Sinistor - House Cadmus Knight Warden -3 Cost
Fury of Thaemar - House Terryn Knight Paladin -6 Cost
The Beast Killer - House Raven Knight Gallant -7 Cost
Gerantius - The Forgotten Knight -6 Cost
Space Marines:
Finally we just have some changes for the Space Marines, as the largest faction they always have some outliers from the general pack. The other factions are currently in fairly good shape, so are going to be left as is for this season.
As a faction with lots of potent and exciting big name characters, vehicles and dreadnoughts can often be hard to justify in comparison. When there's a lot of squeeze on deck points, there cards rarely make the cut, so a decent point reduction helps here a lot.
Brother Markos - Ultramarines Desolation Marine -1 Cost, +5R As a mid cost infantry option the Desolation Marine doesn’t stand out much, so a general buff is the best thing to help place him on a more equal footing.
Brother Gloccus - Raven Guard Suppressor -2 Cost
A more expensive mid-cost ranged option, and one of the starting cards for the game, the Suppressor has been outstripped in value over the years and bringing the cost down puts him in line with lots of other comparable choices.
Lieutenant Tolmeron is a classic warlord that always performs solidly so no change is needed to his rule, but overall is probably stat for stat one of the weakest warlords at his cost value. As such he’s getting a little touch up to his stats. Wounds are always helpful for a Warlord, and a slight increase to melee will get multiplied up, which Tolmeron’s tendency to bank his end of turn Melee readies.
And as always we have the full list of cards added to the general pool this season:
Hound Sinistor - House Cadmus Knight Warden Taddeus the Purifier - Ministorum Priest Inquisitor Ostromandeus - Inquisitor
Space Marines:
Sammael - Grand Master of the Ravenwing Lemartes - Guardian of the Lost Ortan Cassius - Master of Sanctity Brother Mataneo - Death Company Marine Captain Leonid - Death Company Captain Captain Castivar - Death Company Captain Brother Ravini - Death Company Marine Brother Furian - Death Company Marine Brother Vennaro - Death Company Dreadnought
Patch Notes 39.1
Greetings, citizens,
Patch 39.1 is now live! The tinsel is gone, the battlefield is clear, and a new Supreme Commander looms over the horizon. Here’s what’s changing:
Emperor’s Children UI - Order has been restored, paving the way for a presence that demands nothing short of magnificence.
Preparations for the arrival of the next Supreme Commander are underway. He tolerates nothing less than perfection.
Resolved an issue where pop-up messages would overlap, ensuring a smoother experience.
Balance Changes - Knights Season
Greetings, citizens,
With the decadent host only just past the deafening noise continues as the war horns of the Knights ring out. Both the Knights of the Imperium and their twisted cousins take to the field.
We’ve got a dual faction focus this season with both Servants of the Emperor and Chaos getting the spotlight. Given the broad scope, we’ve narrowed the focus down to the largest cards in each faction to stick to the theme, extending this to the other factions by reviewing some of the most costly cards that aren’t Lords of War. We’ve also picked out a small selection of cards from both Servants and Chaos that are currently struggling for a quick spot balance as well.
So let’s get stuck in!
Balance Changes
Chaos:
Eternal Wrath - House Lucaris War Dog Brigand -2 Cost, +10R
As the first appearance of Chaos Knights in the game, Eternal Wrath is somewhat showing its age compared to the new Knights in the roster, and while still only a lesser war engine as a War Dog, there's definitely room for improvement hence this season's buff!
On the other side of the scale the Decima is one of the new releases but a bit off on the power level compared to other options. To make sure all your knight options are viable, were adding a few more stats all round to keep them a viable option.
Xu'Kul of the Eighth Reaping - Lord of Skulls -7 Cost
Although already targeted by a reduction in cost, the Lord of Skulls still struggles and is quite clearly outshone by some of the other Chaos options for Lords of War, so we’ve dropped another hefty amount of points off, because space is more of a premium when it comes to these big cards rather than stats.
Honoured Gor'zrak - Black Legion Possessed -2 Cost
Changed last season with a number of lower Berserk cards, the stats up/cost up approach may have been a bit much on the cost, and so we’re taking Gor’zrak’s new cost down by a little while still keeping the intention of him playing as a more valuable piece.
Kraarouth - Black Legion Chaos Space Marine +2 Cost, +8(20)W, +10R
There’s definitely been some more play ranged Chaos decks this season, and Kraarouth as a clear mid line filler card that should be a staple for these kinds of decks is noticeably below the curve, so a strong stat buff with a bit of extra cost may help here.
Gibberfleth - Accursed Cultist Torment -30W, +20M
Another issue struggling Bersek card, Gibberfleth has the highest hp of any card in his cost bracket, but still doesn’t get enough benefit from that pair with Berserk to find much play. By shaving a reasonable amount off its Wounds, we can give it a massive increase in Melee cutting the reliance on Berserk to ramp damage, and allowing for a more immediate impact on the board.
Servants of the Emperor:
Gamma-Lance 088 - Armiger Warglaive of the Adeptus Mechanicus +15M, +15R
As the oldest Knight representation in the game, Gamma-Lance is long overdue for a significant buff. It’s identity throughout the game has been as a balanced heavy hitter, and we aim to preserve that by increasing both attacks equally, meaning it's a serious contender for a reliable damage dealer, and one that a lot of players should have at a high level!
Carnivore - House Terryn Armiger Helverin +10M, +20R
Similarly Carnivore is on the older side, being released at the same time that the Chaos Knights were first added to the game. And well, you can always do with more damage, especially on these larger cards, and with a lot of SoE competition for the hard hitting Barrage cards, buffing Carnivore seemed fair. Also with a solid Melee attack, Carnivore is perhaps the best all rounder Barrage card in the roster compared to a lot of mono-attack monsters that the Imperium’s artillery can bring to bear.
Blue Devil - Marauder Bomber -2 Cost, +10R
Another newer Lord of War, like Decima for Chaos, that is perhaps a bit out of whack with other similar Lord of War options, and so the Bomber is getting a slight buff to bring it into line.
Amalia Novena - Adepta Sororitas Sister Superior -3 Cost
An absolutely classic card that has gone from a staple card with a wide number of decks to the second from bottom win rate card in faction. Shields are always going to be useful so no need for a trait rework, and the key area for competition is going to be with cheaper utility cards. Taking the price point down to a comparable position in that pool makes here a much more viable pick.
Skoni Walker-ψ9107 - Adeptus Mechanicus Sydonian Dragoon -4 Cost
Skoni-Walker has been on the cusp of the lowest bracket for a long time, and while it has good stats, as a Rare card bringing only Scout as a trait means that the limited utility is at quite a premium. Bringing this cost should help, and we’ll see if this lower cost, and comparably strong stats is enough to help it see more play.
Logan Stone - Inquisitorial Pistoleer +10W, +5R
Another newer card, but one that's been in circulation long enough for it to be competitively playable, and its been struggling compared to the other Inquistorial agents in the same set. A such Stone is getting a small all round buff.
As mentioned in the introduction, we were also looking at big cards in other factions. The Riptide was one of the “Lord of War” class cards before the LoWs were widely introduced, and since that time, the Riptide’s costing has put it in that bracket without actually being one. As such we’re slashing its cost to place it out of the LoW bracket and hopefully give this card a place in more competitive lists.
The Necron Lords of War could definitely do with a bit of a tune up and we’ve opted to hone in on the more resilient theme of the faction for both with each receiving a boost in wounds that should make a difference!
Tyranids:
Specimen: LV-426-HT-Φ - Scythed Hierodule -6 Cost
Specimen: LV-117-AL-Ξ - Barbed Hierodule -6 Cost
Both Hierodules fall into the same category of being in the LoW price bracket without actually being one themselves. As such both are getting a good price drop to take them below the 80pt mark, and hopefully make them both a lot more viable, and look less out of place trying to compete with the LoWs.
And as ever we have the list of cards being added to the general pool! We’ve got a bumper crop for the Servants of the Emperor this season with a number of the Agents kill teams getting into rotation.
ADDED TO THE GENERAL POOL
Aeldari:
Justune and Yrlla - Craftworld Saim-Hann Vyper
Servants of the Emperor:
'Shifty' - Navis Gheistskull Nitsch - Voidmaster Larsen Van Der Grauss - Lectro-Maester Knosso Prond - Death Cult Executioner Elucia Vhane - Rogue Trader Sister Aveline - Daemonbreaker Mirrad Strolke - Adeptus Arbites Gunner Denah Karta - Adeptus Arbites Chirurgant Chengaz Gonderssen - Adeptus Arbites Subductor Maximillian - R-VR Cyber-Mastiff Josef Drestein - Adeptus Arbites Proctor-Exactant Kyrus 'Smasher' - Navis Axejack Ougum Khou - Navis Endurant Kaalsan Lannaq - Navis Gunner Nathadian Maxin - Adeptus Custodes Contemptor-Galatus Dreadnought
Space Marines:
Gabriel Seth - Chapter Master of the Flesh Tearers Demetrian Titus - Ultramarines Lieutenant
Balance Changes
Greetings, citizens,
With the end of Warp Spider Season, we find the Aeldari are followed by their most insidious foe, the followers of Slaanesh. Most prominent among them are the Emperor’s Children. With a brand new army (at least as rulesets are concerned) it is great to be able to get Fulgrim’s sons more heavily into the game as they arrive on the tabletop.
This Season’s adjustments are therefore focused on the followers of Chaos, as well as a follow-up on the adjustments to lower-cost Berserk cards, and a buff to the Silent King.
While a Daemonette is by no means a powerful model, nor among the greatest servants of She Who Thirsts, it is nonetheless a daemon, and therefore a significant threat to your average mortal. With this in mind, Sibliss was a bit at odds as one of the cheapest available Chaos cards. With a 2pt increase, they get a significant bump to both Wounds and Melee, while still fulfilling the role as one of the cheapest available Taunt cards for the faction.
The Enrapturess has sat at a spot that has left it easily overlooked, which is less than ideal, especially given its status as an older Epic. While the Enrapturess has no issues on survivability with high Wounds and a secondary trait of Fear, the damage output was somewhat lacking. We’ve now fixed this with significant buffs to both attacks. Additionally, as a Ranged primary card, there are less good options for powerful Chaos ranged builds, but the influx of new Emperor’s Children cards should help expand this roster, and Azaela now sits as a tempting, and thematic, support card for a cacophonist host!
Lucius the Eternal - Emperor's Children Champion +9 Melee
Lucius is a standout champion for Slaanesh, and the Emperor’s Children, and while already a viable option, a little extra buff couldn’t hurt! The peerless swordsmen narrows even further the list of opponents that can go toe to toe with him!
The Masque - Infamous Herald of Slaanesh +11 Melee
While we await the inevitable re-emergence of Fulgrim from the Warp, we need a figurehead to lead the new wave of Slaaneshi warriors, and who better than the Masque. With lots of new toys to play with the Masque gets a strong Melee buff to make them a fair bit stronger in the event they take to the field.
Honoured Gor'zrak - Black Legion Possessed +8 Cost, +40 Wounds Level up increases scaled up
As mentioned, we’re picking up on lower-cost Berserk cards and giving them a bit of love. In fact, this season, all Berserk cards at 10 or less points are getting a glow-up. For Gor’zrak, we’ve upped his Cost, and Wounds to make the most of his Berserk rather than rework his identity. With his points increase, we’ve also upscaled his stats levels up by +2 per level, meaning he’ll end up at max level with an additional 54 Wounds and 15 Melee, which will make him much more threatening, as an elite Possessed Marine should be.
Corprax the Wall-breaker - Iron Warriors Havoc +1 Cost, +10 Wounds, +10 Ranged
Quite apart from the flamboyant Emperor’s Children, Corprax the dour Iron Warrior is also getting a glow-up. As mentioned, the new cards should bring some life into Chaos Ranged builds, and as an older card Corprax is one expected to see more use. As it stands, he is woefully underperforming, so an all round buff at the expense of a minor Cost increase should do him some good.
Aeldari:
Theskril the Flenser - Kabalite Crimson Duellist Trait Change: Berserk -> Deathblow Level Tree Changes: Level 4 and Level 12; Wounds -> Melee
The next of the sub 10pt Berserkers, “the Flenser” is getting swapped to Deathblow as well as changing two level upgrades from Wounds to Melee, making him much better suited to his new trait identity.
Necron:
Szarekh - The Silent King -10 Cost The Will of the Silent King: Ready value; 100% -> 125%
The Silent King is a very potent card, but with more Supreme Commanders available, and their more regular appearance in Ranked, his cost is prohibitive in a 200pt format. With this in mind we’ve brought his cost down to 100, to match the Primarchs, and also increased the value of his end of turn ready to help as well. While this may make him much more threatening in Apocalypse matches, there’s no reason this is a bad thing.
The final of our cheap Berserkers, Sevora is getting a simple trait swap from Berserk to Poison. We haven’t adjusted stats at this time, as the bulkier health pool is a big positive with Poison allowing for more chance to spread the trait around more widely. As a faction Servants of the Emperor do not have much access to Poison, so let's see how this does for them.
Trooper 594-230 - Death Korps of Krieg Comms Specialist Trait Change: Scout -> Outflank
A lot of the Kreig models have the Scout trait, and while that fits a lot of them, we’re swapping one here over to Outflank. This helps diversify the Krieg’s sub faction roster, and better represents their attritional nature.
Finally, a simple change for Lysander. Inspiring Presence as a secondary Epic trait always falls a bit flat, since it does hit the maximum buff available, meaning any other Inspiring card is normally better. With this in mind, we've switched over the Shield and Inspiring in his profile. To compensate for the loss of several Shields we’ve bumping Lysanders health a little bit which should help offset this.
Cards Added to the General Pool:
Necron:
Dynastic Decimator - Necron-Pylon
Space Marines:
Ulrik the Slayer - Wolf High Priest Veteran Brother Romulus - Ultramarines Bladeguard Veteran Otavio Ullitor - Ultramarines Primaris Captain Brother Abraxus - Ultramarines Tactical Marine Captain Cato Sicarius - Master of the Watch Balthasar - Dark Angels Fifth Company Chapter Master Turmiel - Dark Angels Librarian Brother Tybael - Blood Angels Death Company with Thunder Hammer Captain Karlaen - Blood Angel Captain in Terminator Armour Brother Aghulo - White Scars Biker Seglei Ghol - White Scars Scout Bike Brother Mologhai - White Scars Khan on Bike
Chaos:
Slobber - Beast of Nurgle Steelspine - Iron Warrior Maulerfiend Sevastus Kranon the Relentless - Crimson Slaughter Chaos Lord Gnaxos Foultouch - Death Guard Malignant Plaguecaster Clattercyst Squirmlung - Death Guard Noxious Blightbringer
Version 38.14 is now live, bringing the following updates:
New Modifier: A new modifier has been introduced, expanding the deck editor and allowing players to take up to 4 extra bodyguards. This change aims to provide more flexibility when creating decks and opens up the room for further improvements.
New Banner for Card Packs: We've added a new banner feature to card packs. When previewing the contents of a pack, a banner will now highlight which cards are new to you. This makes it easier to identify newly available cards that you haven't collected yet.
Visually Scale Rewards: We’ve put in some automatic scaling in the rewards screen, so you can see your rewards at the maximum size possible - no more tiny card when there’s just one reward!
Balance Changes and Warp Season
Greetings, citizens,
This season, I’m struggling for a quick witty connection between the Kreig and Warp Spiders. So give me a minute while I grab a shovel and dig my way out of this hole, before this analogy becomes too much of a tangled web… With that out of the way we can flickerjump into this Season's changes! We’ve got a number of changes to the Aeldari, particularly focusing on all the aspect warriors, and for the most part increasing their points and stats to make them feel a bit more like the elite of the Aeldari line like they should be.
In addition to that, we’ve got a few scatter changes to other factions, primarily looking at some trait swaps to give the best possible impact.
As mentioned, we are looking at increasing points on a number of aspect warriors to make them feel a bit more elite. The Howling Banshee is a great example as one of the cheapest bodyguards available to the faction. At a 3-point increase, she’s still very affordable, but now, with +20 wounds, her fear goes a bit further, and +20 Melee means she's delivering a much more powerful punch. She should be able to do a lot more than just be fodder for Rakarth or Avatar decks, while still being able to fill that role too.
Ealion Toir - Dark Reaper Exarch +5 Cost, +30W, +15R
Ealion definitely doesn’t feel like an Exarch, and with some new aspect warriors on the horizon, it's about time he felt like a unit leader! With a big bump in cost, he gets a substantial amount of wounds and a heft increase in range, allowing him to maximise his barrage, and make him a potent mid-cost damage dealer.
Thielle - Dire Avenger Aspect Warrior +2 Cost, +10W, +10R
Keeping with the trend, Thielle was only marginally better than a regular Guardian. With these increases, he definitely stands out as a more premium ranged infantry choice, while still being very affordable.
Veilwalker had been nerfed in the past as one of the few Aeldari cards with Shield; she was often spammed in Lelith decks to recycle the shield. While this is still possible, with the option of more Shielded cards since then, and with Lelith not being playable in PvP, this nerf is being somewhat reversed. By making her more balanced in Lelith decks, she was fairly unplayable with other Warlords, and the all-round increase, and therefore versatility, should mean she can be much more widely used!
Trialeorn the Silent - Craftworld Saim-Hann Farseer -4 Cost
One of the biggest issues for Eldar psychic decks is space, and while Trialeorn’s raw damage output has always made it a very appealing choice for these decks, given how fragile he is, his investment is pretty high, given how long he can stay on the board. Rather than dilute his identity as a major glass cannon piece, reducing his cost helps psychic decks in general, and gives room for more potential support to compensate for his fragility.
Karandras - Phoenix Lord of the Striking Scorpions -2 Cost, +20W
Karandras has always stood out as one of the weakest options for the Phoenix lords, so his cost has been brought down to align with the others. Added to that, we’ve increased his wounds, to make him a bit more durable and differentiate him more from other Phoenix lord options like Baharroth and Jain Zar.
Raunek Pha has been fairly consistent in their poor performance since release, and with plenty of access to Readies (or benefits from Readying), Scout wasn’t doing enough for him. Add to that Melee is the less popular of the two Necron attack types, we’ve switched Pha up a bit. Necrons have no Melee-focused Target Acquired, but have plenty of Ranged TA options. While Pha’s stats are balanced, he is now the best Melee TA option, but is still viable in other deck builds.
Similar to Raunek Pha, where there are plenty of good Ranged TA options available to T’au, there’s none for Melee. Again not a common choice, but Kroot decks are definitely popular! By giving TA to the Farstalker we’re unlocking another support piece for T’au Melee, and a trait that is core to the T’au identity as a whole.
Name Unknown - Kroot Hound +2 Cost, +10W, +10M
Similar to the Aspect Warriors, the Kroot Hound just wasn’t able to achieve a lot at its price point. Added to the competition at that cost with a host of powerful support drones, it’s no surprise the hound is struggling, so by increasing the cost, the hound steps out of that drone associated price point, and can do a lot more on the field with the added wounds, and importantly damage.
Anghkor Prok - Kroot Carnivore Long Quill -20W, +10M
Talking of Kroot damage, for the most part, they underperform against the raw damage output of their T’au allies. While Anghkor Prok has a serious amount of Wounds available, really that comes at the cost of any meaningful damage output. So trimming off a few wounds for a good chunk more damage should make a difference.
Low-cost Berserk just doesn’t work all that well, particularly in a faction geared towards sacrificing cheap cards. As such were swapping the Arco-Flagellant over to Deathblow to perfectly fit that role, and to match the trait change were swapping a decent amount of Wounds over to Melee.
Chaos:
Nauseous Rotbone - Plague Surgeon of the Death Guard -2 Cost
Chaos definitely has a bit of a premium on Medicae, and the Plague Surgeon, despite being one of the cheapest options, is one of the least popular. Reducing his cost should make him more appealing (or as appealing as a Nurgle surgeon can be) and give support to Chaos Melee with him now being the cheapest option for Medicae. This should also balance against him being the only Medicae in the faction with only one attack type.
Grizguttage - Spoilpox Scrivener of Nurgle -2 Cost
Cheap Inspiring Presence options for Chaos are also quite limited, and the Scrivener also falls into the category of an older, perhaps outdated, Nurgle card. A price decrease fulfils the same purpose as the Plague Surgeon change, and loosens up access to better, cheap support options for the faction.
Cards Added to the General Pool:
Aeldari:
Fireheart - Nightwing

We’ve heard your feedback, and we know this change has been highly requested for quite some time. Many of you pointed out that the rewards for receiving maxed-out cards didn’t feel quite right, and we agree—getting coins for maxed cards doesn’t feel like a fair trade for your hard-earned cards. That’s why we’re excited to announce a major change: from now on, when you receive a maxed-out card, you’ll earn Plasma instead of coins. This change will create more opportunities for you to strengthen your decks and make meaningful progress in-game.
Here’s the breakdown:
Common – 3 Plasma
Rare – 10 Plasma
Epic – 20 Plasma
Legendary – 100 Plasma
We believe this change will make earning maxed-out cards more rewarding. Your feedback has been essential, so please keep sharing your thoughts as we work to improve the game. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to hearing from you!
