Deathmatch Event
Dev log vol.8
Hello, players! Greetings from the Warhaven dev team!
The day of Early Access is finally upon us!
We're sure some of you have tried the personalization options in Warhaven during previous tests over the last year. One of the most important goals that we have is creating an in-game store that sells items that don't impact wins or losses, and ensures a fair playing field. It's only natural that the wins and losses should be determined only by the abilities, cooperation, and strategy of the players, rather than the amount of money they have spent in the game. That's why we promise that no one will ever feel like they lost purely because their opponents have spent more money. ...Although they may feel jealous of another person's decked-out profile card.
With Warhaven's Early Access release, we're sure many of you are curious as to how we intend to move forward with the live service. So today, we’d like to explain how personalization will work in Warhaven.
The personalization content is largely divided into what players can obtain through the World Pass, and what can be purchased from the store.
World Pass Content
We explained much of the Conquest content in Vol. 7 of the Dev Notes. This time around, we wanted to expand on our game's battle pass, called the World Pass, and its rewards.
The World Pass content can be summarized as the following: • Anyone can use the World Pass for free, and players can obtain new characters and all sorts of personalization items from it. • Players can increase their World Pass levels by playing the game, completing quests, using WP, and other ways, all to earn rewards for each level. • The rewards include new characters, personalization items, coupons, and boost tickets. • Purchase a Premium World Pass to use new characters on release. • Even players who don't purchase a Premium World Pass can unlock new characters for free. (We'll get more into that in the new character category!)
Players can increase their World Pass levels by playing the game, completing quests, using WP, and other ways, all to earn rewards at set levels. So we have both the free World Pass, and the Premium World Pass that players can pay for. The Premium World Pass is optional, and it's been created to ensure a personalized experience without impacting gameplay too much.
▲World Pass Level Screen
▲World Pass Total Reward
World Pass rewards include outfits, weapons, hats, emotes, profile cards, Battlefield Stickers, Custom Game Tickets, and other items, as well as new characters. Earn rewards by earning World Pass EXP through Standard or Ranked Battles, quests, and other forms of content.
How to obtain new characters?
Any player can earn new characters at certain free World Pass levels. Anyone who purchases a Premium World Pass will unlock new characters right away.
But I can't see the new character in the Pre-season pass?
During this Pre-season only, a new character will be added in the middle of the season, and players who didn't purchase a Premium World Pass can unlock the new character for free by completing special quests.
Starting with the next season, new characters will be added to set levels from the beginning of the season. These levels can be unlocked for free, which allows everyone to earn new characters by progressing in the World Pass.
Shop Content
The shop will sell packages of weapons and skins for the different characters and Immortals. Skins that are designed to match the world and aesthetic of Warhaven will be added every 1 - 2 weeks. Along with skin packages, players will be able to buy profile card personalization items, emotes, and spotlight stickers that will enhance their Warhaven experience. Also, there will be special limited-time items during event periods, so we hope you look forward to those as well. 😀
We hope many of our players have the chance to make themselves stand out with the vast possibilities of personalization items!
That was all we have to share about the World Pass rewards and the shop for Early Access. Also, the next new character will be announced to everyone soon, so we hope you’re excited to finally meet them! (p.s. The new character is quite the play-ful one. ♬) We hope you shine on the battlefield in the meantime.
Thank you! The Warhaven Dev Team

To help players enjoy the game, we'd like to give everyone a heads-up on what's been going on.
Please check below if you're having trouble playing the game, and if we notice anything that needs some clarification, we'll add more as necessary.
We will continue to work to make Warhaven a smooth playing experience, and we ask for your understanding.
■ Occasionally not being able to reinforce/rejoin the battlefield. → We are currently looking into this. We'll make the fix as soon as we find the cause.
■ Divine Stone icon is gray (neutral) when reinforcing/returning in Reclamation. → We are currently looking into this. We'll make the fix as soon as we find the cause.
■ Not being able to see the number of owned Exemption Tickets. → 'Reinforcement Prevention' will be visible if you own any 'Exemption Tickets.'
■ Unable to receive party invitations on some PCs. → You can join parties normally by inviting people to a party if you're not able to receive party invitations yourself.
■ Unable to move because the character gets stuck in certain locations. → Press the Recall button (B) to return to normal gameplay.
■ Game randomly crashing. → 1. If the game is crashing because your PC specs are lower than recommended, please adjust the game settings. 1) Press [Esc] in the lobby screen and click [Game Settings]. 2) [Quality] Lower the overall graphical quality one level at a time. 3) [Quality] Turn off the Environment Interaction, Character Special Effects, and Detailed Corpse-Stone Effects Upon Death. 4) [Display] Change Anti-Aliasing Method to FXAA. 5) [Display] Deactivate vertical sync. 6) [Advanced] Turn off Motion Blur and Threaded Resource Rendering.
→ 2. If the game keep crashing after adjusting the game settings, please try the following solutions: 1) Press the Window Key + R and enter the following in the Run Window: %LocalAppData%\Warhaven\Saved\Config\WindowsClient 2) Delete the GameUserSettings.ini file from the folder that opens up. 3) Re-launch the game. (Your previous settings will reset.)
■ Unable to save the profile card after making changes on the Steam Deck. → Please make changes to the profile card on PC.
■ Event notifications appear even when no event rewards can be claimed. → Event notifications display once a day, regardless of whether they are available or not. → Please make sure to collect your event rewards before the event ends while we work to confirm the cause and fix the issue.
■ Two identical items are occasionally equipped when using stickers and emote items. → We are currently investigating the cause, and will fix the issue as soon as it is confirmed.
■ While using basic attacks as Spike or Warhammer, occasionally the character begins a charge attack like Impale or Hammer Blow instead. → This issue can occur frequently when attacking while guarding. → We're working on a fix, and will alert players as soon as it is implemented.
■ An issue of Profile sticker and battlefield sticker items are occasionally unable to be equipped. → As a workaround, items will now equip normally after [ESC] > [Lobby Restart]. We will fix the issue as soon as the cause is confirmed.ㅍ
