Arcane Arts: Tower Lock is now available!
From 9:00 am Tuesday, April 23, a new gameplay system is coming to Warlander: Arcane Arts!
As with Cataclysms, Arcane Arts are obtained by touching Idols that appear on the battlefield. Arcane Idols appear on the battlefield from the start of the Battle, and the Arts themselves are specialized for near combat.
The new Arcane Art Tower Lock forces a Tower to remain under control by the user's Army for a certain period of time making it impossible to Capture!
Warlander Update Announcement
The following changes were made Thursday, 9:00 am April 18 UTC.
Starting this weekend, the frequency of 5-Army Battles will change from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes.
*The frequency may change again without prior notice.
*We will also switch to a reservation matchmaking system during certain time slots *Time slots may change without notice.
During the time slots covered by the matchmaking reservation system, a check box will appear on the top menu asking if you wish to make a reservation.
By checking the box, matchmaking will start automatically when it is time to make a reservation.
We will hold "Character Experience & Season Pass Experience Increase Campaign" from 18:00 on Friday, April 5, 2024, to 18:00 on Monday, April 8, 2024! (UTC)
During this period, each gaining experience will be increased by 25%! Don't miss it!
Added a dialog box on the cosmetics Shop screen explaining the conditions under which the product can be previewed if there is no applicable character available.
Added "Check Color Variations," "Toggle Full Body/Single Item Display," and "Switch Army" functions to the Season Pass reward detail screen.
Can now display where Cataclysms were activated on the map.
Thundershock can now attack Cataclysmic Idols.
Dispel can now be used against Wall.
When a player is disconnected from a Battle and replaced with a BOT, the BOT will now spawn in the castle instead of where the player disconnected.
Button to select Deck changed to Enter for keyboard, X for Xbox, Square for PS5
When select a Deck, the cursor will now start on that Deck the next time you go to select a Deck.
Changed some items in the battle banner to show the names of the players involved.
Changed the default state of the mini-map to show the whole map.
Adjustments made to Skills for each class.
To encourage Skill customization, Skills with extremely high or low CP will be adjusted. We will also utilize development data such as usage rates in each rank range when making adjustments. The Lunge Slash, Rushdown, and Rocket Attack skills will have their armor removed, as the resistance against hitstun provided by these moves takes away the role of other Skills that repel or help evade nearby enemies, and significantly undermines the three prongs of melee combat (attack beats guard break beats guard beats attack). Skills that were not adjusted this time are currently being examined and will be adjusted as needed.
Warrior Skill βRollβ
Roll was originally envisioned as a high-level skill with three prominent uses: attack, evade, and move. We will adjust the damage and Cooldown time of this rolling attack to better establish it as an evasion skill.

This Skillβs level-based range scaling will be swapped out for better damage to make it more of a damage skill for use in close-quarters combat in order to differentiate it from Rocket Attack. Also, removed the armor that is present on activation, as it was muddling the overall melee combat strategy.

Warrior Skill βRushdownβ
As there was not much value to be found in increasing the skill level for this Skill, we have changed it so that the Cooldown now scales with skill level. Also, removed the armor that is present on activation, as it was muddling the overall melee combat strategy.
To better emphasize this Skills ability to strike a target behind enemy lines, the Cooldown, travel distance, and damage will now scale with skill level. Cleric Skill βDispelβ
Now possible to use this Skill against walls to hit Dispel targets on top of defensive fortifications.
Dispel will now have a uniform range at all skill levels to give players a better feel for the range of a Clericβs Dispel. It will also be changed to a 2-stock system to allow for use in a wider variety of situations.
Cooldown will also be adjusted accordingly.

Cleric Skill "Warp Gateβ
The durability of high-level Warp Gates was too high and took too long to destroy. To make it easier to understand how long it takes to destroy a Warp Gate, the durability value will no longer change with level.

Since there was little benefit to increasing skill level, stock will now increase with each skill level and Cooldown will be the same across all levels.
The amount of damage has also been adjusted as we found it extremely low, reducing the risk of stepping on wind mines.

Fixed the mode and map name displayed in the upper left corner of the mission selection screen to show the same information as in matchmaking.

The Deploy Point System will now be the official System for Deploying Characters in Warlander.
Deploy Points are obtained over time, when a certain number of Valor points are earned, or when the core of your army is attacked. Under this system, players will use those points to launch a character with a high Title Rank.
Changes since the last Deploy Point system preview:
Adjusted the amount of Deploy Points required for Characters of each Title Rank.

Adjusted the number of the Deploy Point bonus from earning Valor points.

Every additional 1000 VP after 5000: 60β120 Deploy Points.
With the introduction of the Deploy Point system, the previous system that raises the Valor Points earned when defeating an enemy of higher Title Rank will be removed.
This was implemented at the time of the last Deploy Point system preview, but went unmentioned in official channels. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Added episode 4 "The Warlords" to the Chronicle.
Added the ability to purchase unpurchased Glamours and other items from the customization screen.
Added feature to see what items are for sale in the Cosmetics tab when logging in.
Added feature that displays an icon in the Shop tab when an update is made.
The maximum number of players who can achieve Aura Rank will be 100 starting this season.
Improved Dawn Bridge B.
Matching with Dawn Bridge A, the following actions were taken:
Lanes were better separated from each other to emphasize the role of each lane.
Doors were added to each lane to increase the amount of back and forth gameplay.
Adjustments were made near the center of the stage to allow for a different strategies than Dawn Bridge A by placing a stone bridge connecting the north and south lanes.
Other adjustments have been made to the stage throughout.
We will continue to make improvements to maps.
The strategy selection screen will be removed from 2-team battles.
This is the screen where Offense, Defense, or Balanced strategy is selected through voting. It was removed in order to improve the tempo of the game and because Balance was selected in the majority of Battles.
This will also reduce the waiting time on the role selection screen.
We have made improvements to Bots, reducing the number of times a Bot hits a seemingly distant Bot due to lag.
Adjustments will be made to the Battle record information used for matchmaking and will now be based on a wider variety of factors.
Shop: change so that unowned items are prioritized for sale within the first 3 pages of the Cosmetics tab and elsewhere.
When you purchase an item within the first 3 pages, it will automatically be replaced by another item that you do not yet own.
The Squad Respawn system will be removed.
We had hoped that Squad Respawn would encourage teamwork within Squads, but we decided to remove it because it obscured frontline tactics by affecting the number of players on the front line and allowed players who could communicate to make better use of their resources than other players.
The Stormbringer Ult Skill "Thunderstorm" now grants 10 protection per second to the caster when used.
Fixed a bug that caused rocket punches to rarely hit Cores and Robots.
Fixed a bug in 5-Army Battles that allowed players on allied armies to use Execute on each other.
Fixed a bug where the Protection skill and Harvest Dance Ult Skillβs protection-granting effects would also work on players on allied armies.
Fixed a bug that caused the Power Bomb Skill to deal back damage even if the attack was not from the rear.
Fixed an issue where attacking with Power Bomb or Finishers would kill the user while standing still when lag was very high.
Fixed a bug in Labyrinth Temple that would not allow markers to be placed on the map screen.
Other minor bug fixes.

Due to unforeseen complications the Warlander customization contest, which was originally scheduled to begin on Feb 19, has been postponed.
