We're switching into a 2-week release cycle to focus on wrapping other aspects of the game (and catch our breath a little!) Hotfixes and and minor patches will still come out as needed, but our larger push is going to be every two weeks now. So here are the goodies with this week's drop:
Updates:
<*> There is now a confirmation when a unit makes a run action or the player ends the turn. These can be turned off in the options menu.
<*> Quick Match has been added! Quick Match will automatically connect to you any player using quick match and the same map.
<*> 2 Warjack requirement for squads has been lifted.

<*> A Chat button has been added to the top of the match screen. This opens a Steam chat with your current opponent.

No more fixed builds. No more wishing you had a different configuration of warjacks and warriors. Now you can. Using a point-based purchase system, you can customize your squad load out from your available roster of units to your own specifications and style of play. And with new units appearing in the game every week, the options for how you construct your squad will be almost limitless.
To test your squad building skills, today’s update also includes a new warrior unit for each faction:

What's New!
<*> Stormblades have been added to the Cygnar Faction! Stormblades bring the following abilities:
Assault: Select a valid charge target, after completing the charge but before making a melee attack make one ranged attack against the target. The unit assaulting does not suffer the target in melee penalty on the ranged attack.
Thunder Thrust: Make a melee attack against target enemy, if this attack hits, immediately make a secondary ranged attack against the same target. The secondary ranged attack ignores the target in melee penalty.
<*> Man-O-War Shocktroopers have been added to the Khador Faction! Man-O-War Shocktroopers bring the following abilities:
Shield Wall: Provides 2 Mitigation (+1 for every adjacent character also in shield wall, to the immediate left or right of this character) to a max of 4 mitigation against attacks made in this character’s front arc.
Armor Splitter: Make a melee attack against target medium or large enemy that does [***] POW and lowers the target’s Mitigation by 2 for one round.
Shove and Shoot: Push target adjacent enemy directly back one square, and then make a ranged attack against that enemy.
<*> Flameguard Cleansers have been added to the Protectorate of Menoth Faction! Flameguard Cleansers bring the following abilities:
Incinerate: RNG 8 AOE 3 POW [**], this attack causes continuous fire. The effect remains in play for one round, is a cloud effect, and units entering or ending activation in the effect suffer POW [**] and Continuous Fire. (This Ability is a work in progress, see Known Issues)
Flame Wall: Place a 5 square long flame effect within 5 squares. Enemies that enter or end their activation in this effect suffer POW [**] Fire Damage and the Continuous Fire Effect. Lasts one round.
Vent: AOE 4 POW [**] Fire Damage, Continuous Fire, attack is generated from the edge of the Cleanser’s space in its front arc. Small units hit are knocked back 1-3 squares. This ability can be used while engaged. (Currently a work in progress, see Known Issues)
<*> Brute Thralls have been added to the Cryx Faction! Brute Thralls bring the following abilities:
Soulless Roar: 50% chance to cause Terror to all living characters within 5 squares for one round.
Combo Strike: : Special Attack – Heavy Steam Fist. POW [*****].
Grab and Slam: Make an attack against target enemy, POW [***], small and medium targets are knocked down.
Line Breaker: Charge forward up to 4 squares through small and medium based units, ignore free strikes from any unit in the path, units along the path lose Shield Wall and suffer <*> POW. Amidst the crumbling walls of a forgotten fortress that once held the Northern border of Cgynar, battle rages today just as it has for a thousand years before. Blood-soaked ground, carved deep with earthwork defenses provide limited protection against an onslaught of enemies advancing behind the cover of the ancient ruins at the forest’s edge.
Take your ground and give no quarter as you charge across this killing field to meet your opponent. Victory belongs to the greatest tactician, a title to be decided at the Trenches at the Border!
