This is minor update:
- updated game engine
- slight UI change so longer text doesn't overlap with other content
- updated camera position when map angle is changed so it fills better screen
- now map angle is 4 by default (it was 0)

Map view angle option is added. This can improve perception of depth compared to direct top-down view.

One week until release

After game being actively in development for over year now, it is finally becoming ready for release.
Date has been set to 28th January 2019.

In mean time, achievements have been implemented and few bugs sorted out.

I would like to use this opportunity and say thanks to all people who were beta testing game and helping with finding issues.

This is hot fix regarding 2nd player controller problem.
Issue was if controller was connected after game is started, it wouldn't get recognized by game (workaround was to restart game).

This update was focused on implementing translations and polishing UI.

  • integrated text localizations for all supported languages
  • adjusted UI so it looks good across all languages (also font has been updated)
  • fixed issue where starting sound effect was not affected by effects volume in options menu

Quick Gameplay Trailer

Released new gameplay trailer that quickly showcases how game works and what customization options are available.

Lot of changes were done under the hood since release of previous trailer (it was v0.74 alpha, still available on game website), most of them are regarding online multiplayer, but there has been also tweaking regarding graphics.
Some noticeable changes are:

  • water is more realistic and has waves
  • map doesn't have anymore borders, instead it blends with water more nicely
  • rearranged UI (most noticeable change is to contain ship status for both players during shooting)
  • font is updated to support characters in all supported languages
