Incoming Patch for All Corrosive Studios RPGs
Corrosive Supporters!
Hey guys! Instead of making several individual announcement posts, I'm making this one to cover all the bases.
A patch will be released for the following games shortly: Waste Walkers and all of its expansions, Disgraced, Lawless Lands and its expansion, and later on with the next update - Chaos Chain.
The patch is to fix a long standing issue in relation to changing equipment in combat. There was an issue with the code in relation to using the mouse where the FPS would tank when hovering over an equipment slot that currently had something equipped in it. There was a loop that was causing the info panel to CONSTANTLY refresh EVERY frame (60 times a second) and that obviously takes a huge toll on performance.
I never realized how bad it was until I was working today on Chaos Chain. The issue was present in all my previous RPGs but I never even noticed. The only reason I found it now is because Chaos Chain has A LOT of slots for equipment (both actual equipment and then the augmentation slots for cyber/bioware), so the whole screen gets super laggy and it was just awful.
Anyways, it's fixed now. The patch for each game will be live shortly, I am just waiting for the builds to be complete and then I can start uploading.

5/9/25 - Waste Walkers Subsistence Quick Update

Hey everyone!
This is just a quick patch to fix something I noticed while looking back over some of my older work.
When I had done the character graphics overhaul awhile back, I left out one character sprite and it looked pretty odd to see that character still using the old method when everyone else had cleaner looking sprites. So, I remade the character using the new method and updated the file. For anyone wondering, it was a female character in the Black Sanctum colony.
I also went ahead and added some more detail to some of the maps, but it was mostly minor cosmetic changes.
Bug Fixes: -Replaced old/outdated character sprite model with new version
Changes: -Added some more environment detail to a few maps

2/12/25 - Waste Walkers Update 2.2.7

Hey everyone!
This is just another quick update as I wanted to port over a failsafe from my newest game for a super rare crash that could happen under very specific circumstances and also to fix the new trophy system from the other day - dogs still couldn't equip them. It was an oversight, I forgot to make it so they could actually equip them despite making them have the equip slot itself.
THIS UPDATE WILL APPLY TO THE MAIN GAME AND ALL EXPANSIONS.
Update 2.2.7 Change Log:
-Added new equipment class (Trophy - previously they just counted as equipment which only humans can equip) -Added Trophy usability for both survivor and canine classes -Updated all Trophy items to the new Trophy class instead of equipment class -Added a preventative measure in the code for a potential very rare crash that happens in extremely rare circumstances
This update is going to take some time for me to export and upload. Please be patient.

Yup, 10 years later and still updating and supporting the game.
Here's a quick update for some things after talking with a player tonight.
THIS UPDATE WILL APPLY TO THE MAIN GAME AND ALL EXPANSIONS.
Update 2.2.6 Change Log:
-FIXED a bug in the code which could cause non-active party members to not gain any exp whatsoever when exp should be earned -FIXED a bug which caused damage values (especially status effects) to be rounded down instead of rounded to the nearest integer -Canines now have a trophy slot -Reserve party members will now receive 66% exp instead of only 60%
