Friday Update 5 - Spell Swapping



Patch 0.77 is out, here's what's new:

- You can now equip 4 spells per hand for a total of 8 spells! press a direction on the joystick / touchpad when selecting a spell to equip it to that slot. Then, in combat, press that direction to switch to that spell.
- Updated all the fonts in the menu to make them more readable.
- Removed augment phase during arcade mode. Augments are being reworked to be permanent upgrades obtainable from the overworld.
- Minor bug fixes.

Friday Update 4 - Patch 0.76 Shops n Such



Friday Update 4 is Live, here's the changes:

- Added Klaus's first shop. Exchange Klaus dollars at his shop in town for consumables and a new spell.
- Enemies now drop Klaus dollars.
- Added homing wind bomb as a collectible spell.
- Fixed spell power granted from leveling up decreasing your damage (oops)
- Fixed spells sometimes not appearing in the spell book.
- Re balanced leveling curve again.
- Minor bug fixes.

Next week:

Spell hot swapping.
2 more spells.
More enemy types.

Friday Update 3 - Patch 0.75



Patch Notes:

- Added town models and NPCs to the desert
- Resized cave battle zone to fix knockback issues
- Moved dusty tower teleport zones to prevent walking back into the tower
- Made dialogue more readable
- Minor bug fixes

Shop was supposed to be in this build but we didn't quite make it. Should be in next week's update along with a new spell.

Friday Update 2 Patch 0.74

This Week's update:

- Added earth altar in Bumblethorn Canyon, it's south of the fire one.
- Fixed missing colliders on overworld objects.
- Added quest progress tracking, Justin now updates dialogue for the first 2 steps of the main quest, quest log objectives properly update in menus.
- Fixed bug where altars required more energy then stated.
- Updated save version. The game will reload the game once if the save file needs to be updated to a new format.

This week was house keeping but we have a lot of cool stuff in store for next week!

Friday Update 1! - Patch 0.73: Bumblethorn Canyon



Just pushed update 0.73 Live here's what we added for this week:

- Enemy item drops. Enemies drop items now!
- Items stack. Items now properly stack in your inventory.
- Added Zoom Drink. A new potion that increases your run speed x2 and stops encounters from triggering for a short amount of steps. Only depletes while moving.
- Added Elemental Energy System. You can now find elemental energy from mob drops and in chests. There is one altar in this patch for upgrading your elemental fire damage. Each level of elemental enhancement costs an increasing amount of energy and will increase the damage you do with that element.
- Added Bumblethorn Canyon area. This area contains harder encounters, the fire altar, and a few chests. The story will take you here in the next update but you can visit there now to upgrade your fire damage.
- Fixed bug where encounters would grant spells when they weren't supposed to.
- Adjusted most spell damage numbers.
- Increased regular overworld move speed by 30%

Friday Updates! Save Files Subject to Wipe

Hey guys, hope you've been enjoying the game so far. Just wanted to let everyone know that were going to be doing friday updates to the game every week. Because were so early in development some of these early updates will be making major changes to the integral systems of the game which may require save file wipes to prevent future problems. Were going to try to keep these wipes to a minimum and they should eventually dissappear as all the base systems are laid out but for now this is necessary.

Here's whats coming this Friday:
- Stacking items.
- Better leveling exp curve.
- Enemy item drops.
- New elemental power system. mobs will drop energy items that you can turn in at altars to boost your favorite elements. Different enemies will drop different types of energy.
- Map teleports.
- Speed potion for faster map movement.
- Spell balances.
- Bug fixes.
- And possibly a new area and encounter if we can finish testing it.
