v1.7.1 Hotfix Patch

"Wavecade - Ships Pack" now obsolete
We are consolidating our DLC to have unlockable ship skins in the "Wavecade - Skins Pack" DLC. Ships don't require DLC to unlock in the latest version!

New Gameplay & Competition Update!
Main Changes:
Complete overhaul of player ship customization:
We are still working on this to constantly improve it and we may totally rework it again
Simplified ship selection process, each ship has tailored particle effects.
Some ships require XP to unlock.
Animated ship colors.
UI overhaul:
Main menu UI updated to be less confusing and easier to navigate with a controller.
In-game UI is more readable and prettier.
New Hazard: Black Holes.
Random amounts of black holes spawn on screen and suck in blocks. Players that are caught within its bounds for too long will lose a life.
New Mini-boss: the Cadedonian mini-boss:
2-4 mini worms spawn and attempt to hit the player.
New boss: Antheia the Sorceress.
Her specialty is deception, good luck defeating her every 60 waves.
Hall of Fame: (Score competition on Steam only)
We are introducing a score competition, the player with the highest score after each season's conclusion will win a trophy and spot in our hall of fame, as well as a cash prize which will increase based on 10% of Wavecade's Steam sales.
During the season, players will be able to see the current highest score which is updated daily.
Reworked Charged Shot:
Charged shot can shoot instantly, but will need to charge automatically when used too often. Charge timings are tweaked.
New Soundtracks:
Song names: Le Nova, Horizon, Antheia’s bite, Antheia’s Might, Hall of Fame.
Minor Changes:
Ability to skip dialogue.
Crowd SFX plays when losing a life, when the player receives enough points, and when double/triple/quadruple points powerup is active.
Behemoth boss can take splash damage.
Added support for 16:10 aspect ratio.
Balanced abilities, some last longer, some are shorter.
Removed ‘Armor block’ and ‘Fast track’ game mode, due to lack of popularity.
Powerups now show the next upgrade available.
Multi level point booster (x2, x3, x4) powerups.
Clan wave ships have a stronger variant.
Faster leveling up sequence.
Dynamically scale the main UI as a settings item (50% to 150%).
New block styles.
Able to customize player 2 when player 2 is spawned in a local co-op game.
v1.6.3 (Patch 1)
This fixes various minor bugs found by testers for Wavecade. Please let us know on discord if you encounter issues or just want to provide feedback.
Increased boss health (is harder to destroy with nades).
Fixed issue where charge shot input would be read while customize player page is opened.
Increased the amount of bullets on screen (up to 300, was previously 150).
Fixed placeholder text for name instead of email.
Increased size of + symbol on powerup pickups.
Improved loading times slightly.
Autoshoot now will not be triggered on powerup pickups.
More colours added to Behemoth (2nd boss).
Fixed issue where hazards might spawn in pre-game.
Prevented shooting while player is in hit-stun state.
Bullets now rebound off powerup pickups/shields/bosses.
Improved start zones in pre-game (larger, brighter, faster fill time).
Fixed mouse not always autohiding in main game.
Fixed issue where abilities were not deactivating when the ability timer runs out after the active ability was changed.
Fixed issue where activating an ability in pre-game would not restart once wave 1 starts.
Introduced 'competitive' game rules. This is just like the PAX Aus rules but is now the main arcade mode (original arcade mode is now called 'relaxed' mode). Current leader is shown when the competitive rules is selected as the active game mode. Supports solo + co-op modes but only for Steam.
Freeze time ability sets the game speed instantly to 5% instead of gradually over time.
Various other bug fixes.
