Hotfix for version 1.24.2 of Way of the Hunter is now live, addressing an issue with missions Elk Stew Bourguignon, Chimichurri Bear Steak, and Akutaq.

Steyr-Gams
The brand new Steyr-Gams, which will be available in Way of the Hunter exclusively before it is even sold in stores. The Steyr-Gams is the ideal rifle for high alpine hunting, based on the proven Ultra-Light rifle. It features an optimised scout barrel and an integrated picatinny rail for precise optics mounting. The innovative combination of carbon stock and state-of-the-art 3D printing technology creates an ultra-light rifle of the highest quality and precision.
Steyr SSG M1
Intended for mid-sized big game, the SSG M1 rifle can meet the most demanding mission requirements. Based on traditional virtues like precision and reliability, it also boasts a new multi-function chassis not found in any other rifle.
Steyr Mannlicher Cl II Fullstock

Patch 1.24.1 is now for everyone, adding a new rifle scope, ambient sounds to Tikamoon Plains, and addressing a few outstanding issues.

Fixed: Special mission animals can respawn after you have claimed them
Fixed: If a player fast travels or is knocked out before a fatally wounded animal dies and it is killed upon despawn, the animal remains in its last pose
Fixed: Inability to claim the man-eating lion after harvesting a different animal during the mission
Fixed: Lion rare fur variation being called albino (changed to leucistic)
Fixed: Wrong claim date on taxidermized animals
Fixed: Albino animals having different eyes in-game and in the claim screen
Fixed: Incorrect trophy age for multiplayer animals in the hunting log
Fixed: Pop-up when resetting game settings to default offering players to reset game progress
Fixed: Difficulty in Free Hunt mode not being based on the difficulty wizard

Dev branch patch 1.24.1
Patch 1.24.1 is now live on the Development branch on Steam, adding a new rifle scope, ambient sounds to Tikamoon Plains, and addressing a few outstanding issues.
We will push this update to the stable version on Steam, as well as EGS, GOG, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S as soon as we have confirmed that it is, indeed, stable.

Before you opt into the development branch, please make sure that you back up your save file, as progress you make on the development branch WILL NOT CARRY OVER to the stable version if you later choose to switch back. The patch will be pushed to the stable version and other platforms as soon as we have confirmed that it is indeed stable.
