A few notes for people coming in hot right, before or after playing the demo!

⚔️ The tutorial has abnormally low performance at the moment. This is a bug and I will try to fix it ASAP.
⚔️ Camera, throwing and defending (without shield) are particular issues that will be reworked before release, appreciate all the feedback!
⚔️ There's some bugs with the AI that might stop or do weird things; this is known and will be fixed a bit later
⚔️ There are also some issues with fog at lower graphics settings
⚔️Don't forget to click the reveal button (costs fame) to learn more about certain match options. (you can reveal the ???'s) I'll add a tiny tutorial for this soon
⚔️Patrons trigger positive or negative events with bigger impacts, but this mostly happens at levels beyond the demo. You can basically ignore patrons in the demo.
⚔️ Check the roadmap in the main menu!
⚔️ The entire game is prone to changes so definitely share all your ideas in the steam forum or discord.
⚔️ Currently playtest is closed but I will definitely add additional waves of playtesters later on as I add new features and run out of bugs to fix.

The launch of the demo is going fantastic so far, and thank you for all your great feedback! I have been collecting your bug reports, suggestions and most of all your kind words.

I've been hard at work fixing and applying some of these suggestions, and more updates are underway.

For playtesters: the playtest branch is no longer the demo, so full-game testing can resume without lvl 6 limitation!

Demo Patch 1 - Changelog:



CHANGES




  • New: Golden Wreath, Headwrap, Cast Iron Helm. These have also been added to the unit roster.
  • New accesory: Halfcloak


  • AI now will lose stamina and you will see them visibly get tired. (May be overdone; need feedback)
  • Cursor now snaps back to initial location after you release an attack.
  • Double clicking to overhead-strike is more sensitive now (easier to do)
  • Weapon breaking should now throw a text prompt in the middle of the screen and both disarming and weapon breaking is associated with a clearer sound
  • Rewrote basic attacking tutorial section a bit (more updates to come)
  • Updated some of the sound effects and added another victory sound


BUGFIXES



  • Fixed F1 screen close still locking the game
  • Fixed a load of small context specific bugs: invested gold no longer is cut in half if you have a Slave backstory for example.
  • Fixed Shadow quality graphic setting resetting to Ludicrous
  • Added a fourth graphics quality setting to all options
  • Fixed The Plague event dialog options + typo
  • Fixed various UI issues such as widescreen in the career menu creating spill-over from battle menu onto the armory. Victory screen now shows gold icon, etc.
  • Audience graphics option was accidentally reversed; so now the arenas will have a lot bit more public!!
  • I went over some of the arenas and cleaned up some of the camera blocking around the edges so the camera should behave a bit better. Still work in progress.
  • I fixed/implemented a loading time for the menu character. If you saw any strange 'unassembled' characters or characters with faulty texturing this MAY be fixed now. Needs testing.
  • Skipping a battle/week now triggers passive healing.
  • The correct colours should now load at all times on characters; sometimes this was bugged.
  • Probably more stuff I don't remember.
