Which character(s) would you like to see in a new storyline?
Hi everyone!
I've been thinking recently about the possibility of adding new content to the game in the form of an additional 'extra' storyline with new levels after completing the game, centring around one of the secondary characters to give them more of a backstory.
Please comment and let me know who you'd like to see more of in their own mini-story!
Thanks a lot, and keep enjoying the game.
POSSIBLE PROGRESS LOSS - READ INSIDE FOR MORE
Hi everyone,
I realized that a recent change made to the game files - to implement New Game+ mode - may have resulted in people losing their progress through the levels of the game.
If this is the case for you, please be advised that you can fix it by taking the following steps:
1) Find the game files in your Steam installation (on a typical install, the location of these files will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Weaves of Fate)
2) Inside the game files, navigate to assets->player_profile and open profile.xml with your text editor of choice.
3) Inside the profile file, look for the 'current_level' attribute. It will likely be set to 0. If you remember the level number that you had unlocked, update the current_level to that number. If you do not, please try updating it incrementally , saving the file and then relaunching the game until your level select screen is back to normal. Make sure after you are done editing the profile.xml file, you save it.
I apologize unreservedly for the mistake if I did in fact blow away anybody's level progress; please note that this should not have affected your character upgrades, the only affected progress should be your level progression.
If after attempting these steps, anybody is still struggling with restoring their level progression or just needs additional help getting back to the state they were in before the New Game+ update, please do post here and I will support.
NEW GAME+ MODE - 19/09/2017 UPDATE
Hi everyone!
I just finished adding a New Game+ mode to the game and have pushed the update to Steam. With the New Game+ mode you can now play through the game after completion with tougher foes and stronger enemy configurations.
You keep all of your character upgrades after starting new game plus though, so make the most of your exp. points while you can!
I also snuck a fix into this update for a major bug where the game was crashing sometimes if you got a little too click-happy on the magic menus.
Stay tuned for more usability tweaks coming soon, I aim to clear up some of the biggest complaints with the game jumping around a bit too fast, and also the lack of clear information about character health after taking damage.
Thanks all for your patience and I hope you continue enjoying the game!
04/09/2017 UPDATE
Hi everyone!
Another update has just been made to the game which fixes a couple of player-reported issues:
- Fixed mouse support issues in random encounters victory screen
- Fixed keyboard issues in some menu screens
I plan to implement a New Game+ mode soon with the new game mode which should improve replayability of the game.
Thanks for your patience and as always, keep enjoying the game!
MOUSE SUPPORT UPDATE
Hi everyone!
Mouse support was a high priority feature based on user feedback, so I just wanted to post an announcement and let you all know that I've now implemented mouse support into the game and have pushed an update to Steam.
I hope you're all enjoying the game, and thanks a lot for your patience!

Weaves of Fate Now Released!
Weaves of Fate has now been officially released (well, you're on the Steam page for it so I assume you already know that!).
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who supported the game and left their feedback on both the Steam Greenlight campaign and the Store page in the past few days. All of it was useful in one way or another, regardless of whether positive or negative.
It's been a long road getting here, but now we're finally there. This is just the start of the journey, and I just want to make sure everybody knows that I'm committed to building on this. If anybody encounters any issues or bugs, or simply has a new feature request, feel free to post it or reach out and let me know.
