The Dxxber Update

After a week of testing and tweaking the Dxxber Weeds update is finally ready!

WTF Is Dxxber Weeds


Dxxber Weeds is a new wholesale weed delivery app on iHigh OS. It unlocks once you reach level 28 and it'll allow you to make wholesale weed deliveries to Dxxber terminals in town.

How S**t Works


ːws_peaceː You'll receive weed delivery requests on the Dxxber App. A notification chime will sound every time a new request is comes up. You can toggle the notification sound on/off if it annoys you or you don't feel like doing delivery runs.

ːws_peaceː Delivery requests will time out and go into a cooldown mode if not accepted within a specified time frame.

ːws_peaceː Accepting a delivery request will start the delivery timer. If you fail to complete the delivery in time or cancel it at any point, you'll receive a negative review which will affect the wholesale prices for future deliveries.

ːws_peaceː Successfully completing a delivery, will result in a positive review and increased quantities & prices for any future orders from the same customer.

ːws_peaceː You'll be making the deliveries using one of the HotboxWheels RC cars. The can be purchased from the Dope Market's "Tools N S**t" section.

ːws_peaceː The cars can and will eventually get wrecked. Once that happens, and you're able to get to the car in time, you'll be able to salvage the car and its cargo.

ːws_peaceː Salvaged cars get repaired automatically and can be reused as soon as you get back to the PC. If the car goes boom, however, both the car and its package are gonna be gone.

ːws_peaceː Upon successfully completing a delivery the customer will end up keeping the car, so you will have to factor its price into your profit margins. If you fail to deliver the items on time, you'll get to keeps the car and it's contents. If you cancel the delivery with the the car out in the wild, you'll lose the car and the contents of the package.

What Else Is New


ːws_peaceː To make the grind a little bit more bearable, we've added 5 new grinders to the Dope Market.

ːws_peaceː Added a feature that exports Sellify data to a JSON file which you can use for custom menu input. For performance reasons it gets updated every time you use iHigh OS and can be found in the game's save data folder.

ːws_peaceː As always fixed a bunch of minor bugs and issues with the game, but this is turning into one longa** post, so we'll leave it here ːws_damanː

511 Patch Notes

Today's patch notes will be pretty brief but they do contain some changes to the game mechanics so you should probably read them:

ːws_peaceː From now on, promoters can target specific customer groups within their skill level. You can assign one or multiple groups to each promo employee, A massive shout out to @Spotty for the suggestion!

ːws_peaceː Promoters and Merch Managers will also receive double the XP points for a successful promo or merch being sold.

ːws_peaceː The issue with the influencer-promoted items being stuck has been resolved as well.

ːws_peaceː And lastly, the bug that caused hybrid strains grown indoors to exceed 100% quality is also done.

As for the Doober app, if you happened to catch the preview on @StonyMike's stream, you probably already know that it still needs some work. However, we're pretty certain we'll have it up and running by the weekend so stay tuned ːws_lighterː

509 Patch Notes

Here's what's new since the last patch notes:

ːws_peaceː Fixed the Favorite items not being saved in the Dope Market and broke the Dope Market's item quality in the process. While that issue was also resolved 30 minutes later, some of you had already purchased busted pots by then. Yeah, we f***d up... bad ːws_damanː so as our way of saying sorry we're making all the pots unbreakable for today.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the graphics options menu not showing any options.

ːws_peaceː Added an option to switch between mild & extreme stoned post fx.

ːws_peaceː Rebalanced the THC values for prerolled joints & blunts.

ːws_peaceː Updated the TV browsers to the latest version, but if you're still getting a gray screen it's due to an underlying bug in Chromium. Even though we doubt that Google will ever get it fixed, we do have a workaround to the issue, so drop by our Discord.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the discounts not updating in the Sellify App.

ːws_peaceː Taught the staff to vape pods that have been added to their inventory.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the Influencer double-sell glitch.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the ever-increasing sales price bug when offering an alternative strain.

ːws_peaceː Readjusted the dolphin's spawn area to prevent it from getting beached, though the jellyfish might still go boom if your FPS is on the lower end.

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO EVERYONE!



First things first, no this is not another seasonal event update. While it would've been cool to add a Cinco Demayo Special to our slowly-growing list of seasonal events, we're currently working on a few bigger things and need all the development hours we can get in order to get them done sooner rather than later.

This week's been pretty crazy as we had one of the game's core subsystems silently fail, which resulted in a plethora of unrelated bug reports. It took a couple of days of trial and error to get to the root of the issue and get it worked out, but we should be good now.

Also, the same steam glitch that took our game offline on 420 returned in force on May 2-3rd, and, once again, made our game unavailable on the Steam Store. Luckily, this time, it wasn't an isolated incident as a lot of AAA titles got hit as well, so the issue got resolved much faster.


WHAT'S NEW



ːws_peaceː Added an optional straight-to-the-point tutorial since some of you really "loved" original ːws_damanː

ːws_peaceː Increased base extract production quantities and added new higher tier press bags and decarb capsules.

ːws_peaceː Fixed all the issues with the Trippy Events. Yes, we know, we said we did it in the last patch, and now we look like a bunch of holes, but the trippy event issues were related to the subsystem failure, as mentioned earlier, and took a total of 3 days to get sorted out.

ːws_peaceː Updated the InfluGram App to give relevant information for those running on Barebones and wondering where the influencers have gone.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the lag caused by the influencers getting ready to do their influencer stuff for the first time when leveling up to level 30.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the bug causing the main menu to fail if an autosave is in progress.

ːws_peaceː Did some other stuff too, but we're not gonna bore you on Cinco De Mayo, you probably have better things to do ːws_damanː

By the way, some people have been freaking out about the game updating multiple times a day. This is mainly because we release minor patches, add-ons, and fixes whenever they're needed or finished.
IT'S KIND OF OUR THING ːws_damanː If this prevents you from enjoying the game. feel free to turn off the "Auto Update" option for Weed Shop 3 and manually update the game whenever you're ready for something new.


COMING UP



Currently, we have a whole bunch of things in progress, and a suggestion list longer than Justice League... Damn that was one long**s movie ːws_damanː However, the main focus right now is on getting the early game progression curve rebalanced and less grindy, and adding the wholesale mechanics to increase the cash flow mid-game so you can afford all the stuff you want sooner.

427 Patch Notes

Today's patch is all about rebalancing and bugfixes:

ːws_peaceː @Cobretti137 & @StonyMike managed to do the impossible and rebalanced all the late-game values. Now breeding hybrids, pressing dabs, and selling carts actually makes financial sense! Cart production also unlocks as soon as you get the lab.

ːws_peaceː The office chair from hell now triggers the Burnout Bowling event, just like the wheelchair except that you don't have to die to use it.

ːws_peaceː Getting high smoking bongs is much faster now while joints & blunts take a little longer to kick.

ːws_peaceː Multiple menu issues, such as mouse scroll not working and tiles not appearing, have been addressed.

ːws_peaceː The menu background blur is now an optional toggle in the options menu as is the camera head bob effect. Hopefully, this will increase the fps and decrease your nausea and not the other way around.

ːws_peaceː The clothing racks and postcard stands that from time to time were kicked into your store by stoned customers are now static objects. Now your customers can get stuck outside ːws_damanː

ːws_peaceː The Dude Jr. will now reappear as soon as you hit 45, running up and down the boardwalk is no longer required. You can still do it anyway, it's your game.

ːws_peaceː And the ghost harvest particles should now be a thing of the past... we hope ːws_damanː

426 Patch Notes

Here's what's new since the last patch:

ːws_peaceː Fixed the super-illusive and hopefully last Metal Rolling Table glitch.

ːws_peaceː Reconfigured the Metal Packaging Table to package three joints at the time just like the rolling table.

ːws_peaceː Added real-time lights to all the grow setup light components. The lights are off by default and can be toggled on in the Graphics section of the options menu. Be warned though, that they will put additional stress on your GPU so if you're barely getting 60 fps as is, it's probably wise to leave them off.

ːws_peaceː Fixed the possessed office chair from hell, for those who like to go fassssst.

ːws_peaceː Added outdoor grow watering can upgrades.

ːws_peaceː Added new grow field lights. They're fully automatic and synced up to the day & night cycle.
