Because it will be quite some time before Fabrication releases, and - consequently - White Pearl 2.0, players may now view the patch notes to see what's to come.
* Please note, the patch notes are currently in-development and may change.
Announcing White Pearl Patch 2.0, scheduled for release in 2019
This is an announcement as part of White Pearl's 1st anniversary since release (October - December 2017).
Patch 2.0 will bring huge changes to White Pearl's game balance and adds new features to the game (such as extending the crafting system).
Detailing the Changes
The following pictures are taken from the White Pearl 2.0 patch notes. When the patch has finished development, a seperate announcement will be made with the link to these patch notes - allowing players to peruse over the patch notes in their entirety.
New Features - what will they entail?
An extension to the crafting system will be added:
With the implentation of this new system, new types of shields will be added:
- Quest rewards will be adjusted to better reward the player for their time and effort. A Quest Log may be added to the game. Because of the addition of the Luna Engine, White Pearl's backend UI engine, adding new UI scripts is difficult because it is not always guaranteed to work - and very few are compatible. I ask for your patience on this matter.
* More changes and additions will be made as development of the patch progresses.
Game Balance - what will be affected?
White Pearl Patch 1.0.9 - Echoes From the Past Calamity
These changes will greatly appeal to existing fans, but also ease in new ones.
The patch will be releasing this month - and maybe, once Fabrication releases, I might add some post-game content in White Pearl too. Depends if I feel up to the task!
Firstly, I'd like to point out a very important detail in the patch notes, and I'll specify it here:
Changes to Existing Events - At both ending areas, it is possible to obtain the acheivements that have been added recently through a menu. This is so existing players will not have to replay the game fully.
Without further ado, the balance adjustments!

End of Update Notes
It may be late, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - there's still a few people playing the game, so why not?
I changed what I felt needed changing. Thanks for reading!
White Pearl: Chronicle Edition Launched!
The main DLC for White Pearl is now available!
Store page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/838680/White_Pearl__Chronicle_Edition/
Installation Issues Fixed + New Fullscreen Features
This was something I didn't expect, because the contents of the DLC has been hidden to users (and it still is) - but it's been affecting everybody's main game files - with the exception of saved games (since those are saved to the Steam Cloud now).
I was assigning the DLC package to the main game - but because the DLC hasn't been released yet, the contents of that remain hidden to users (so in other words, 0MB). I had set the actual package of the DLC in a hidden branch, but I also linked to the main depot of the game (that was already released) - so had that effect. Nothing in the game's files!
It only affected the main game files because it was a child of the main game. (In terms of what gets installed, the DLC package is bundled with the main game).
I've removed that for now until release of the DLC.
I really started to panic, but I'm glad I fixed it. More importantly, I'm glad people brought it to my attention! While I have another user to test installation, I have no other PC - so you can imagine it can be misleading for me.
I've added a new feature, the script is courtesy of Zeus81, and it adds more options to play around with the screen size.
You still can't manually change resoultion and resize the game window (it isn't possible with the software), but by using F10 - you can adjust the screen ratio. That should give you some breathing room for when you want to look at the guide while playing the game or anything else.
Thanks,
Harry
Annoucing White Pearl: Chronicle Edition!
The first DLC for White Pearl, coming to Steam early April!
Contains new additions outside of the game.
Additions include:
- NEW Asset Package - contains unused and cut content from the game, as well as some raw assets from the game which players may use/view.
Development footage and screenshots are also included.
- UPDATED Official Guide - now containing Story & Optional Content walkthrough!
- and more surprises!
More info will be on the DLC's store page, so I'll update this with the link when it's up!
Please note: the DLC is 3GB in size.
DLC Upcoming!
It will be nothing you will have to pay for.
The reason I'm doing this is because free games do not remain in the library if they're uninstalled, however - if they have DLC attached - it will remain.
By releasing a DLC package, I can remedy this issue.
Please continue to enjoy your time with the game.
Decide what I'll do Next!
At the moment, I have no plans to soley develop another title again myself.
However, if I was to start a new project, what would you want it to be about?
