Just released a hotfix for patch v1.2 because achievements were broken. Also, sadly, the mouse cursor bug had to be reverted in order to make the achievements work again.
I won't go too into detail but it's due to the Steamworks plugin for the game engine (construct 2) is not compatible with the most recent version of the underlying technology (nw.js). So I had to revert my game back to an older version of nw.js.
When the Steamworks plugin for Construct 2 gets updated I will release a new update to fix the mouse cursor bug.

Reverted the mouse cursor bug (mouse cursor will still get messed up in windowed mode)

New update v1.2 - Minor visual fixes
General This update has a few minor bug fixes in it. They are all visual fixes so there's nothing that effects gameplay.

Fixed an issue for first time players where the glowing rectangle on the upgrade screen was off center by about 18 pixels
Fixed an issue in the UI where the build / tool buttons would become too dark if you didn't have enough money to buy it, so I lightened it up so you can still see the icon
Fixed an issue when playing in windowed mode where the mouse cursor would change into a standard Windows cursor rather than the game's custom cursor

Many players have expressed that Whitevale Defender is too easy. So in the coming week I will be working on a patch to increase the difficulty. Below is a list of my proposed changes. Feedback is welcome.
General I want to keep the easy difficulty mostly unchanged for those people who are a bit slower and not strategy experts. For medium I want to increase the difficulty slightly. Then hard is where I want the largest changes to difficulty to occur. I always meant hard difficulty to be for the more hardcore tower defense players, but it seems I have missed the mark. I also want to adjust some of the crown costs to the unlockables to spread them out more. I definitely want to avoid having to grind to achieve the unlocks, but hopefully spreading them out a little will give the overall game a better pacing.
Proposed Changes - To be implemented later this week

I'm Christopher, the creator of Whitevale Defender. I just want to update everyone on a change to the release date. I will be releasing my game a few days sooner, on May 23rd.
The main reason why is because PixelJunk Monsters 2 (another tower defense game) is releasing on the same day I chose. So rather than compete for attention with that game, I will just release sooner!
