Game Update: Streamlined Play & Classic Mode Revamp
We have carefully listened to the feedback from our community and chosen a new direction for the game's development based on the feedback received. Our focus is on simplifying the interaction between the game and the players, making the process more intuitive and accessible. Many of you shared your difficulties in understanding the core mechanics and objectives in the game, which became a key point for our further actions.
In response, we have undertaken significant work to improve the Classic mode. Our goal is to ensure that new players can easily integrate into the process and enjoy the game from the very first moments, without getting lost among complexities and settings.
Interface and Settings Changes
Main Menu: The settings item has been removed to simplify navigation.
Exiting Modes: Exiting Classic and Hard modes now returns the player directly to the menu, making transitions faster and more convenient.
Sound Settings: The "sfx" item has been renamed to "effects" to make terminology clearer. The default music volume is now 50%, and the effects volume is 75%, creating a more pleasant audio balance right from the start of the game.
Settlement Noise: We have completely removed this sound effect from the game to reduce audio load and make the sound design more enjoyable.
Redesigned Classic Mode
Economy and Cost: We have reviewed the cost of resources and actions. The cost of hiring a worker, waging war, and the blessing of "Svarog" is now just 1 coin. The cost of building a farm is now 3 coins. These changes are aimed at encouraging more active interaction and strategic planning.
Spawn in Settlements has been reduced by 50%, making the game more balanced and giving players more room to maneuver.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where a tree blocked the construction of a farm.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) of the workers has been improved: now, with the onset of night, they automatically return to the base, adding realism and improving the strategic component of the game.
These changes were inspired by your feedback and suggestions. We believe they will make your gaming experience more enjoyable and interesting. Your opinion is important to us, and we continue to work on improving the game, remaining open to new ideas and suggestions.

In the course of long development, together with the team, we decided to divide the game into a classic version and a hard version.
classic version:
fog disabled
snowfall disabled
home totem is disabled, now it does not need to be replenished
chest gives 3 times more coins
monster waves reduced by three
the "lords" summoning totem is no longer hidden and can be activated at any time
the hard version remains the same.
Many players experienced negativity, not understanding the process of the game itself and what needs to be done, we decided that the classic version of the game will allow users to enjoy the game completely, easing the complexity and relaxing and enjoying the game
other innovations:
instead of the usual "esc" when you press in the game, there will be a menu for settings (be careful, the game is not paused)
the volume of the music is lowered by 50% and too high sounds are also removed.

Introduction Winter is a roguelike adventure game set in a forest among ancient settlements from mythologies. Create your own powerful army and build red-hot walls at night to protect yourself from frost creatures.
History Winter will take players far into the past, to a forest settlement where one day a child was born who was different from the others. The gods noticed this and sent many troubles to the entire settlement. The last leader went crazy and began to send eternal grief to his people, negotiating with the ancient forces, the forces of frost. The merman took all the powers of the frost, but the frost imprisoned this child's soul in a totem so that the child could defeat the merman with his army.
Character traits Explore neighboring settlements and annex them to fight the frost. Hire and train your settlements to mine silver, as well as to prosper your settlements. Random events with the weather will not let you rest, bring offerings to other gods so that they are kinder. Build and upgrade your camp to protect yourself from frost creatures.
