Steam Community Shop: New Stage and Refreshed Rewards!


Commanders, Steam Community Shop is opening its doors once again: time to earn some Tokens!

Steam Community Shop is a Steam-exclusive mechanic that allows players to earn special Tokens by participating in various events and activities on Steam Community Hub, and then spend these Tokens on rewards of their choice. The Shop works in stages, with each stage lasting around two months. When the stage ends, the Shop closes for a couple of days, and then reopens again with slightly modified rewards.

How Does It Work?



There is always something happening on Steam Community Hub. From time to time, we launch Community events such as Giveaways, Tags suggestion events, rewards for following us on Steam Hub, and more. If you participate in these events and complete all the required steps correctly, you will get Community Tokens as a reward. You can then exchange these Tokens in the Community Shop for various rewards, depending on what you need most.

Stage Five rewards include:

  • Special missions for extra Tokens
  • Personal Reserves
  • Days of WoT Premium Account
  • Tier VIII rental Premium American T26E5 heavy tank and more!
  • And more!

Some rewards can be purchased for Tokens an unlimited number of times, while others are limited to one or two times per account.


You can save up your Tokens to purchase better rewards, or you can spend them as soon as you get them: the choice is yours! However, keep in mind that the Community Tokens you earn DO NOT transfer between stages. When the stage ends, all unused Tokens will disappear, so make sure you spend all your Tokens in time!

How to Find the Steam Community Shop?



  1. To find the Steam Community Shop, launch the game and open the DEPOT section.
  2. Then, go to the HOMEFRONT SUPPLIES tab inside your Depot.
  3. Find the Steam Community Shop option in the HOMEFRONT SUPPLIES tab and click on it to view all available rewards and prices.

Advent Calendar Is Back!


Commanders, Advent Calendar is back with us this year, reformed: it now works as its name suggests!

Every day from December 1 at 7:00 CET through December 26 at 7:00 CET (UTC+1), log in to the game, access the Advent Calendar via a window or a special object (a display column) in your festive Village, open a door, and claim a free surprise present. It’s as simple as that—but there’s more!



Open More Doors to Get Extra Gifts!


Claim several Advent presents to receive even more goodies:

  • 3 doors opened: Gift Terminal Tokens
  • 7 doors opened: a special crew member
  • 12 doors opened: a New Year Large Box

If you miss a day, you can claim its Advent present the next day—together with that day’s present. But remember, the opportunity to receive each Advent present for free only lasts for 48 hours! (The exception to this is the December 25 present, which will only be available for a single day.)



Pick Up What You Missed!


If you missed out on some daily Advent Calendar presents, obtain them with Holiday Ops resources later! You can do this any time from December 26 at 5:00 CET through January 8 at 7:00 CET (UTC+1) by spending 300 of any type of resource to get each unclaimed Advent Calendar present. The missed presents can be opened only in order, from the earliest to the latest. If you open all the doors, you will receive the December 25 present for free.

Bonus gifts for doors opened cannot be obtained after December 26 at 5:00 CET (UTC+1).

The winter season brings Holiday Ops to World of Tanks! It’s the most wonderful time of the year—full of joy, great presents, and valuable rewards.

During Holiday Ops 2024, a festive Village will appear in place of your standard Garage, filled with the spirit of the season and friendly characters. Make your Village shine even brighter and furnish it to your taste with decorations! This year, there’s a new guest star presiding over the celebration: Vinnie Jones, the renowned British footballer and actor who will add a unique flavor to the event with his missions and assignments. Join the festivities and prepare for a huge celebration!

Event Summary



  • Dates: Starts on December 1, 2023 and ends on January 8, 2024.
  • Garage Transformation: Your Garage becomes a festive Village featuring the guest star’s Headquarters, as well as the Christmas Tree, Fair, and Installation. Keep or change the name of your Village from last year’s event.
  • Event Currency: Resources, available in four types (Rock Crystal, Pure Emerald, Warm Amber, and Meteoric Iron). There are different ways to obtain them: collecting them once a day in your Village, Daily mission rewards, visiting Best Friends' Villages, Large Box bonuses.
  • Festive Atmosphere: Has 10 Levels. Increase using Rock Crystal and Pure Emerald to receive rewards such as Personal Reserves, Crew Books, special crew members, a festive 2D style, and more.
  • Best Friends Feature: Mark two players as Best Friends. Visit their Villages for extra resources and unlock special customizations.
  • Vinnie Jones: This year's special guest. This is what he offers. 28 Missions: Available progressively, but can be completed simultaneously. Rewards include commander Vinnie Jones, a unique 2D style, vehicle discounts, and more. 20 Assignments: Complete using Warm Amber and Meteoric Iron to boost credit and XP bonuses and unlock unique customizations.

    Focus on Rock Crystal and Pure Emerald to swiftly increase your Festive Atmosphere Level. For customization and economic bonuses, complete Vinnie's Assignments.

  • Chaffee the Dog: Appears at Festive Atmosphere Level II, giving daily rewards for simple missions. Increase rewards with Chaffee’s Bundles.

Arcade Cabinet: Get Ready for Winter Excitement!


Brace yourselves for a series of three consecutive icy weekends in late December, each packed with snow, festive fun, and unusual battles!

The entertaining Arcade Cabinet event will be available on a special schedule and will feature two modes with familiar mechanics: Snowballs and Ice Age. Both modes will make a double comeback during the final weekend of the event. Put your warm padded helmet on and prepare to shoot snowballs and drift on ice!

Introducing Random Events in Update 1.23

While map environment interaction has always been a fundamental aspect of World of Tanks gameplay, the last significant update occurred back in 2018 with the release of Update 1.0. Since then, we’ve explored various options for the future development of World of Tanks battlefields.

Now, the game has entered a new phase of its evolution with the introduction of Random Events. Initially unveiled during Recon Mission 2023, Random Events passed through all stages of development, including prototyping and testing in the Common Test, and will make their debut on the live servers with the release of Update 1.23.



A Brief Recap of Random Events



Let's refresh your memory of what Random Events are.

  • Available on four maps: Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg, Prokhorovka, and Safe Haven.


  • Occur at specific times, significantly affecting extensive areas of the maps. This impact creates fresh pathways for vehicles, potentially obstructing existing ones, while also establishing new cover and firing positions.


  • Random Events Are Now Truly Random! Each event on any of the four maps has its own specific launch probability, which depends on the current combat situation. To avoid disrupting some familiar combat scenarios, Random Events are not guaranteed to happen and may not even occur during battle. Stay vigilant and always keep the situation on the battlefield under control!


  • The Random Event zone will be marked by red smoke. As you approach its border, a warning notification will appear. Upon entering the zone, the countdown to the event launch begins. Use this time to take up the most strategic position within or outside the zone. Be cautious of collisions with large objects generated during the event, as they may destroy your vehicle.

Steel Hunter: Evolution — Taking the Next Step

Dive into Steel Hunter: Evolution from November 13 through November 19, a captivating blend of Classic and Reborn features. In this iteration of Steel Hunter, you'll face the challenges of 14 other tankers (or nine other two-person Platoons) as you battle it out on a shrinking battlefield. Armed with a single respawn, Spoils of War, and vehicle field upgrades, it's your chance to prove your tanking prowess.

In Steel Hunter: Evolution, you'll find a fusion of familiar and fresh features.

  • From Classic: A conical field of view that limits enemy spotting to a 120° sector in front of your tank. Proximity spotting remains effective but only at close range.
  • From Reborn: Enjoy the thrill of solo respawns, improved auto-aim, and a chance to revive platoonmates during battle. You'll also encounter Marauders, AI-controlled enemies that offer bountiful rewards as the fight progresses.

Progresion and Combat Mission Rewards



Embark on missions to earn credits, Progression Points, bonds, and Steel Seals. As you journey through Steel Hunter: Evolution, you can exchange your Steel Seals for exclusive vehicle customization items until November 27. These items include nine decals and seven 2D styles, including the brand-new Devastating Corrosion style.
