Transfer Opportunities for Players from CIS to the EU Realm
Dear players!
On June 15, we announced that on December 13, 2022 operations of World of Warplanes in the CIS region will be stopped.
The next big step is to launch a special CIS → EU transfer campaign for CIS players who wish to continue playing World of Warplanes.
Despite the fact that the account transfer opportunity will be available for a prolonged period of time, after the CIS server of World of Warplanes will be shut down on December 13, 2022, we cannot guarantee that the World of Warplanes account data will remain available for transfer to the EU servers. If you wish to take advantage of the account transfer, we recommend completing it before December 13, 2022.
Below you can find the key points about this procedure:
In September, CIS servers will be turned off for Steam players. Additionally, new players from Russia and Belarus will not be able to register a new World of Warplanes account via Steam.
New CIS players from outside Russia and Belarus will still be able to install World of Warplanes in Steam and create an account. Such players will be automatically redirected to EU region during registration.
If you already have an account on CIS region, you will have an opportunity to transfer your CIS account to EU region and continue playing on Steam.
If you don’t want to transfer your account to EU region, unfortunately, you will not be able to continue playing on Steam.
Providing high quality service and ensuring the comfort of our players will always remain our priority. We will keep your account progress and all applicable terms and conditions, including pricing principles, as well as the core set of services you are used to, no matter where you continue playing.

[expand type="showmore"] Q: Do I need to perform any actions now? A: If you wish to transfer your account, make sure that you have completed your registration by adding an email and a password. Other than that, you do not have to do anything now, this is just an announcement to make sure you stay up to date with our latest plans. We will make an additional publication when the transfer is ready with all details about the procedure.
Q: How long will the transfer option be available? A: The transfer campaign doesn’t have any planned end date. We want to make sure that all our players get a chance to move to EU region, including those who decided to take a break from the game at the moment. Nevertheless, once the CIS server of World of Warplanes is stopped on December 13, 2022, we cannot guarantee that your account data will be saved, therefore we recommend completing the account transfer before that date.
Q: Will my progress, stats, purchases and resources be transferred as well? A: Yes, of course. Your progress, stats, purchases, resources etc. will be transferred to a new account on EU region. We will give you all the details closer to the transfer start.
Q: I play from Belarus or Russia and I want to transfer my account to EU region. Will I be able to make purchases in the game after the transfer? A: You will not be able to pay directly to Wargaming. In order to know if you are able to make purchases directly to Steam, please look at the payment methods that are available in your country on Steam or contact Steam Support.
Q: Will the prices in the in-game Store become higher after the transfer? A: For the transferred players, the pricing principles on EU region will remain at the same level with CIS region.
Q: Will my ping become worse after the transfer? A: This is a very specific question which depends on a variety of factors, mainly on your service provider and your location. In some cases it might become lower, in other cases it might become higher.
Q: Can I transfer my EU, NA, ASIA account to another server during this transfer campaign? A: No, this transfer campaign will be aimed specifically at CIS-region players. Other regions remain without any changes.
Q: What if I don’t want to transfer my account to EU region? A: Unfortunately, in that case, you will not be able to play World of Warplanes via Steam on your CIS-region account. [/expand]
We understand that this is a big and serious decision for our players, and we will do our best to make it a smooth and easy experience for everyone.
Update 2.1.15
On July 27, from 10:00 CEST (UTC+2) / 01:00 PT / 04:00 ET to 14:00 CEST (UTC+2) / 05:00 PT / 08:00 ET, the servers will undergo maintenance to deploy Update 2.1.15.
Aircraft
Update 2.1.15 introduces a brand-new reward aircraft:
Blackburn Skua Mk. 1, a Tier III British multirole fighter.
This is an early version of the trusty British Tier III multirole fighter. It is equipped with a more efficient engine, providing it higher optimum altitude and longer boost than its researchable counterpart, and has a more versatile outboard armament.
To earn it, you'll need to participate in the game event held in August.
Wargaming Anniversary
On August 2, Wargaming is celebrating its 24th year as a company! To commemorate this date, we will be holding a week-long event that will reward you with numerous valuable rewards and, ultimately, a memorable emblem dedicated to the anniversary.
P-38L Lightning: Start Your Engines!
Update 2.1.14 introduces a new aircraft, the P-38L Lightning!
This is an experimental configuration of the valiant P-38 that has noticeably increased ground attack capabilities due to additional HVAR rockets. Also, this Lightning will shine anew in aerial combat thanks to three 15 mm machine guns that allow it to engage enemies from further away.
From July 04 (13:20 CEST, UTC +2) to August 01 (13:20 CEST, UTC +2), complete a chain of 25 missions to receive the P-38L Lightning and a decoration set (paint scheme, nose art, emblem) for your new warbird!
Note
You may skip combat missions of the marathon by purchasing certificates in the Premium Shop, if you play on the EU, NA or ASIA game servers, or using Tokens, if you play on the CIS game server.;
Only Tier IV – X aircraft can take part in the event.
Keep completing marathon missions on your favorite warbirds to grab all the event's rewards! Don't have time to complete all the missions? Just visit the Premium Shop and purchase certificates to speed up the completion of the in-game event!

Marathon for P-38L Lightning
July will bring a new event to World of Warplanes. Complete marathon missions to get multiple prizes, including days of Premium Account, Steel Supply Crates, boosters, and much more. The main reward is the P-38L Lightning, an American Premium heavy fighter.
To speed up your progress through the marathon, you'll be able to skip missions for certificates, if you are playing on the EU, NA or ASIA game servers, or using Tokens, if you are playing on the CIS game server.
Achievements
Players who complete every mission of the July marathon and receive the main reward will also receive the memorable Test Pilot achievement.

World of Warplanes in CIS

Ever since the launch of World of Warplanes, we made every effort to ensure that the time you spend in-game is pure adrenaline-fueled fun.
We are sad to announce that the World of Warplanes CIS game server will be shut down. The disconnection is scheduled for December 13, 2022, 180 days from now.
Also, from today, June 15, 2022, players with accounts on the CIS game server will no longer be able to make purchases in the World of Warplanes Premium Shop, and players from the Russian Federation or Republic of Belarus will not be able to purchase World of Warplanes bundles on Steam, regardless of the game server they use. However, until the CIS game server closes, you can continue to use in-game assets (Gold, Premium Account, Free XP) and play without any additional restrictions.
We are deeply grateful to all the players who have been with us since the launch, as well as all our newbies! Your ideas and passion for flight have proved invaluable for us on this journey and inspired us to take World of Warplanes to exciting new heights.
More information on the possibilities of transferring your World of Warplanes account from the CIS to the EU server will be released soon, so stay tuned.
The EU, NA and ASIA servers will not be affected by this change.
