Celebrate the Olympics with World VR Competition's new endless training mode!
I hope everyone is enjoying watching the winter games as much as we are here at MT Worlds! We've already got our Olympics party planned out where we'll be sure to have our own competition.
While making a great local multiplayer game was always the focus with World VR Competition, we understand that not everyone will have friends and family to play with often. The game is still very enjoyable to play by yourself and compete against the world records and/or computer records (or even just your personal best). All of these records are kept in the game. With today's patch it's now easier than ever to practice the events you enjoy, try multiple times for that elusive record you're trying to beat, or just get in a good workout!
When playing either practice mode (single event or all events), you will now be presented the option to repeat each event when you complete this. This should really improve the singleplayer / practice experience and is something we've had many requests for!
Enjoy everyone, and please be sure to share your experiences with World VR Competition on social media it helps us a ton!
Thank you
-Mike and the MT Worlds team
Invite your friends over for the best VR party you'll ever have in World VR Competition local multiplayer competitive mode! Or challenge the leaderboards in singleplayer.
It's been nearly a year since World VR Competition has launched and this game continues to amaze me every time I play with friends. It is the perfect catalyst for a great VR party. 8 unique events, custom avatars for each player, tutorials for each individual player before each event so no one is left wondering how to play, intuitive controls, exciting scoreboard for the spectators, configurable event switches (so you can choose how many events between headset switches depending on your group's patience level), interesting camera angles for the spectators, lots of different records to beat and so much more! You can now have complete Olympic style competitions with your friends and family in VR.
So grab some friends and family, grab some drinks, load up World VR Competition and remember why you bought your Rift or Vive in the first place! This game brings people together like none other!
If you don't have a group to play with try the single player mode, it's so much fun to challenge the leaderboards and try to beat personal bests, computer and world records! Give it a go now while it's 50% off!

Design an event for World VR Competition; win a $25 gift card!
Hey everyone! We are so pleased to see the positive feedback we've received for World VR Competition! I hope it's been the highlight of many VR parties! If you haven't, please be sure to leave us a nice review on Steam and share your experience on social media wherever possible, it would mean the world to us.
While we think our current eight events are a ton of fun and there is something for everyone, we want to give you all more. But more of what is the question?? That's why we're asking you for help! Please reply with your idea for an event that would work well in World VR Competition. You can give as much or as little detail as you think is necessary to get your idea across to us. Remember, all events are played by a single player at a time, so events that would require two players at the same time cannot be implemented. Whoever gives us the best idea will win a $25 USD gift card to the retailer of their choice (any available through Gyft.com).
We will pick the winner on March 24th, so be sure to have your ideas in to us by then. Thank you all so much for your ideas and support, we truly appreciate it!

Coming in patch 0.3
Thank you everyone for your continued support for World VR Competition. I wanted to leave a quick note letting you all know what we are working on.
Firstly we are working on a new avatar system.
Obviously there won't be any trademarked images on the final product, but this will be a huge improvement over the current, generally criticized, models. We hope to have this new system ready for 0.3's release!
While there really aren't a ton of bugs to correct, this is still our top priority along with balancing the current events and making sure they are as fun as possible.
We are also working on a new javelin event which should be lots of fun once it's finished! Hopefully we will be introducing a flying event soon also, but that will require more testing and it likely won't be included in the full competition game mode since it likely will make many people sick, so it will be optional only for practice and custom competitions.
Again, if you have any questions, feedback, or concerns please let me know!
Thank you all!
Mike and the entire MT_Worlds Team

Content patch 0.2 and dev update
https://youtu.be/hYoZWbp6zo8
Hi all, we have just released our first content patch for World VR Competition, this includes a few new features mostly aimed at further improving the already awesome local multiplayer mode! Check out the short video we created on the patch:
FEATURES:
-NEW spectator scoreboard so that everyone waiting their turn will be able to see exactly what how the scores, standings, and records are shaping up.
-NEW spectator camera will now attach to the sniper bullets and the arrows to make watching these events more exciting.
-NEW full leaderboard showing not only your position in the world record rankings, but also the people above and below you.
IMPROVEMENTS:
-Sniper rifle is now always held and does not require reloading any longer.
-Shotgun pump action is shorter, should be a bit easier to reload now.
-Trap Shooting is now easier on easy and medium with larger clay pigeons in both, and bullets are faster to make the game slightly easier on all levels.
BUGFIXES:
-Hitting the projectiles in Energy Swords with two blades will no longer yield you two points.
-Fixed world records being mixed up between events very randomly.
-Improved sights on revolvers for easier aiming in the dual pistols game.
-Fixed some erroneous pregame tutorials
Coming in patch 0.2, and Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who has purchased our game so far! We truly appreciate it and hope you are enjoying yourselves. If you notice bugs or would like to see certain improvements or changes, please post them in discussions or here and we will do our best to take care of these for you.
Looking forward to patch 0.2 which will be the first patch to add content and features to the game. We plan to release this patch by August 19th, these are the things we have planned:
-We will be adding a scoreboard to the spectator camera. In the most recent play test I did with 4 other friends, everyone had a blast, but they were not able to see the scores and records while others play. This is a big problem in my opinion. We will be adding a scoreboard to the spectator view (meant to be shown on a monitor/TV to the rest of the players waiting their turns). This will include current game scores for all players, records (Personal Best, Computer Record, and World Record), and current medal counts (gold, silver, bronze, overall medal points). This will make party mode even more fun then it is now!
-"Practice all Events" mode. Instead of having to back out of practice after every game, simply use practice all events and run through them all on your own.
-Removing need to reload and grip the sniper rifle, it will automatically load itself now and you will always have it in both hands.
-Changing / improving sights on pistols in dual pistols game. They are a bit hard to see right now.
-Arrows will disappear as you use them in archery, showing you how many shots you have left.
-Adjusting energy blade and boxing difficulty levels.
Thank you!
