• Fixed an issue where players could create an infinite stream of water
• Fixed an issue where players with 2D backgrounds playing against players with 3D backgrounds was causing a minor desync in online play.
• Fixed an issue where a heavy explosion was causing a minor desync in online play.
• Pre-order customisation assets are now appearing correctly lit.

An update to Worms Clan Wars has been released. The update will be applied automatically. This will update your game to show version number #0147 in the Main Menu. This patch is 174.2MB.

This update includes:
• Optimised physics calculations to reduce load on CPU
• Optimised shaders throughout the game
• Improved performance on Intel-based graphics cards
• Multiple changes and improvements to the single player Story experience
• Improved AI thinking time as a result of player feedback
• Fixed an issue where lobbies with multiple rounds was causing an issue with matchmaking
• Fixed an issue where accepting an invite could result in being placed into an empty lobby
• Players can now choose to zoom smoothly with the mouse wheel, rather than step through three levels of zoom
• Players can now view Player Stats in local multiplayer games during a guest or AI turn
• Fixed a rare issue where clan and community points weren't been recorded correctly
• Fixed an exploit where a certain weapon could allow use of weapons in retreat time
• Ninja Rope will now attach correctly to cavern borders
• Changed shock range and damage cap for the Cluster Bomb
• Parachute can now be deployed from a Jetpack
• Worm Charm can now be toggled between states on the jetpack
• Changes to the way Worm Charm works. Dropping a Worm Charm now no longer ends a turn.
• Dropping a secondary weapon from the Aqua Pack no longer ends the turn
• Fixed an issue where having [Caps Lock] engaged resulted in shift symbols being displayed
• Worms Firepunching into indestructible terrain will no longer become stuck in it
• Turn timer no longer stays on zero after using the teleport gun and equipping another weapon
• Grenade launched from a utility is now fired using the [Enter] key
• Hangman's hat no longer acts as a moustache

Worms Clan Wars Update - 09/10/13

An update to Worms Clan Wars has been released. The update will be applied automatically. This will update your game to show version number #0132 in the Main Menu.

This update includes:

  • New 2D background option - The new option allows users with frame rate issues to switch from using a 3D background to a 2D background. To switch over select Help & Options > Settings > Game Options > 3d Background
  • Landscape Editor improvements. Fixes for a stability issues when using the fill tool and when resizing brushes


Worms Clan Wars Update - 30/09/13

An update to Worms Clan Wars has been released. The update will be applied automatically. This will update your game to show version number #0121 in the Main Menu.

This update includes a number of major optimisations and adds support for the Speech Bank Editor.

  • Optimized and reduced overall texture and geometry memory needs.
  • Optimized OpenGL utilization.
  • Fixed a number of GPU memory corruption issues.
  • Improved asset and resource management and loading times.
  • Optimized sprite rendering

Apologies for the large download size. We have had to modify the base resources, which means the new assets have be downloaded in a patch.

Patch Notes:

  • Implemented the ability for players to open, browse and close their weapons panel on another players’ turn.
  • Clan emblems are now displayed on the Clan Wars option on the Main Menu.
  • Fixed an Alt + Tab issue where some users were experiencing loss of keyboard controls.
  • Team health bars are now display correctly in clan matches.
  • Fixed an issue where dead worms were able to take a turn.
  • Various improvements to frontend menus.

Patch Notes:

    <*>Reduced prevalence of framespikes by pre-initialising in-game effects
    <*>Dynamic lighting and shadows on the landscape are now working
    <*>Added a lobby timeout of 15 minutes to reduce instances of AFK users blocking channels
    <*>Nameplates and health should no longer disappear during online matches
    <*>Fixed (for most cases) an issue where worms in an explosion crater filled with water could get stuck in an infinitely moving flow of water
    <*>Cheating tools which allow players to change health and other values in online matches will no longer function
    <*>Fixed an exploit where players could spam the buy button in online games to purchase multiple items
    <*>Voice chat icons in a clan match will now appear in the correct place
    <*>The correct leaderboard will now be displayed at the end of a Worm Ops mission

    Optimisation and Framerate Fixes:

    • Improved the vertex buffer object systems for vertex data
    • Optimisation pass to remove redundant state changes and unnecessary functions calls in rendering layer
    • Altered kick-off point for water calculations to not stall the gameplay update


    New Scheme Options:

    • Hot seat time can now be changed between 0, 3 and 5 seconds.
    • Indestructible Terrain can now be toggled on or off.
    • Jet pack full can now be changed between high, medium and low.
    • Max crates per turn can be switched between 0, 1, 2 and 3.


    General Fixes:

    • Washing machine bug: Reduced prevalence of instances where worms become stuck in a moving pool of dynamic water (still an issue though – we’re working on it!)
    • Fixed an issue where Steam Workshop content wasn’t appearing if files were set to read-only.
    • WormNet now correctly reports the number of players and active games in a channel.
    • Fixed an issue where subscribed landscapes were not visible without at least one user landscape.
    • You can now change worm loadout and team colour using a gamepad.
    • Fixed an issue in WormNet where cancelling joining a lobby could take a long time.
    • Fixed an issue where the player could become stuck in the landscape editor.
    • Options changed after scrolling with the right mouse button are now correctly saved.
