Fire arrows now just set the enemy on fire and dmg over time instead of trying to dmg the enemy walking over it
barrels now have a chance to release a powerup when broken
fixed some pathing issues on map 5
explosive barrels on map 5 now properly destroy enemy gates so they cant respawn (thanks for reporting the bug fealix)
removed the ability to drop the bow, so you can no longer glitch drop it with the grip button (thanks fealix)
fixed archers vision being blocked in tunnel on map 4 (thanks fealix)
directional arrows now point on the Z axis also, so you can tell whether to go up or down to reach the place you need to be
players can no longer destroy the final spawn gate before destroying the boss (thanks fealix)
slain enemies no longer stay around for as long as they did, they will now vanish after 10 seconds instead of 15 seconds, this will make level transitions in the arena faster and also allow for faster spawning of enemies.
fixed an issue where blood would not be attached to enemy when hit
blood emitted from enemies now lasts a little longer
fixed some text issues on the main menu
enemy units now have blood decals based on the amount of hp they have remaining
bloodlust emitter now fills bar
bloodlust effect no longer spams slices, you can do 1 cut per second to a target
raised spawn frequency of powerups to 5%
assassin no longer is affected by bloodlust and disappears correctly when substituting
enemy soldiers now vary in difficulty, some are faster than others
made some visual changes to map 3
fixed an issue where the wind slice powerup would activate when you start moving on first getting the powerup
removed some old code that was no longer being used
wind slash powerup combined with blade after image powerup, will spawn 3 wind slashes 1 forward and the other 2 slightly off to the sides
enemy ai's now have 14 death animations (I opted for animated deaths over ragdoll because its more entertaining then the character flopping to the ground).
added 5 new hit reactions to the enemy ai's, it is now much more fun to strike at them
when the enemy is lifted from an upward strike, they can be juggled in the air for 5 seconds with repeated strikes
supply captains have a new look, enemy samurai now have different coloured clothing
fixed an issue with the boss spawn gate being able to be killed before the bosses where killed
fixed some navigation problems with map 2 and 3
Assassin boss now has a disarm counter from his block
powerups will now come closer to the player at a slower rate to make it easier to collect them
players now get powerups spawned when they reach milestone hitcounts or killcounts, 25,50,100,250,500,1000, this should help to make higher hit and kill counts less of a grind and more fun
fixed an issue where the assassin and kunoichi would throw a shuriken at you while they were dying

Update 1.11 now live!

Update 1.11 comes with a great many bug fixes and added features to wrath of the samurai.

new blocking mechanic.
2 new powerups, fire arrows and sword after image.
animation and navigation fixes for AI's.
pathing fixes and performance fixes for maps.
1 new map for campaign, currently incomplete.
fixed lod for sakura trees.
fixed bloodlust bar particle effect when full.
fixed arena barrel bug.
fixed an issue where enemies would attack twice in succession.
centre of the play space is now indicated by bloody fog instead of a wireframe ball.
made some general fixes to ai pathing when attacking.
made some performance fixes to map 1, fixed a bug with the archer slicing mesh.
made the supply captains not die when retaking bases.
there is now a delay so that the supply captains can't spam respawn the gates.
fixed an issue where enemies wouldn't take dmg anymore after running outside of fire attack range and then back into range.
fixed framerate issues on map 1, had to cull a lot of scenery.
fixed an issue where if you drew your sword too close to a barrel it would disappear.
fixed pathing issues with map 3.
fixed issue where archers arrows would bounce and face the wrong direction.
fixed an issue where pulling the right trigger on the prelude text would fire a shuriken.
made hp bars smaller.
players can no longer kill the final gate without first eliminating the levels boss
there is now a red arrow to point to the direction of the enemy commander for that stage.
fixed up some nav issues on map 5.
