One day until the debut of the WCC

With great enthusiasm we announce that we are one day away from the official debut of the WCC here on Steam, it has been a long road for us in the development of this game, full of learnings, mistakes made and a great achievement for us to be able to share a vision that began just over 4 years ago.
What you can expect at the WCC launch on March 26:
-Local multiplayer game modes for up to 4 players -Single player career mode, two story chapters -Support for keyboard, xbox and play station control
We will be listening to you at all times, we will make continuous improvements to the game and whatever is necessary so that you have the best gaming experience that is within our reach on cardboard boxes fighting in a ring.

March will be the debut on steam
Fans of wrestling and video games, we have to move the launch of the WCC to the month of March due to certain challenges that have arisen unforeseen and that have taken us by surprise.
However, we are moving forward without any major complications so we only need two things:
-Steam achievements -Small improvements in some interfaces
Therefore we will arrive in time for March and in the next few days we will have the launch trailer ready with the day, likewise a small update of the demo will be released next week in order to give the final look at the game.

Demo 0.3.3 and the latest
Greetings wrestling fans!
Today we have an update to the WCC demo, version 0.3.3. Which, for now, will be the last update for the official launch of the game, we are three months away from that and two months away from having the "gold" version of the game.
Also the reason for this update is due to our participation in the EGS in Mexico City on November 17-19, where we will also be exhibiting the game, sharing space with other developers and of course with you, the players.
What does this update include? We recommend you play with your best headphones since we have mainly focused on polishing the audio section.
-SFX for hits, audience reaction and for important events during a fight. -Correction of minor errors in gameplay and configuration of fights and game modes. -Added the final tracks for the soundtrack in the main theme of the game, entrance theme of the Normal Box, Mysterious Box, Godinez Box and Fodex Box. -Cinematic adjustments for career mode and the entrances to the ring of the aforementioned boxes.

Release month updated
One of the most difficult challenges as a developer is taking the final step, finishing the game and publishing it. At the moment the development of Wrestling Cardboard Championship is going a little slower than thought due to different factors and that is compromising the publication dates.
Therefore, we see ourselves in the need to move the launch month to February 2024, without a specific day, even since we must analyze in detail which day will be the right one, we believe that it is better to do it this way, face the challenges that we have right now and go easy.
Fortunately, there are few aspects that we must solve and others that will allow us to give you the best gaming experience:
-Save system -Achievement system -Improved single player cinematics -Improved audio system -UI and HUD improvement -Visual improvement of textures and animations -Bug fixes and game performance
Each point has its challenge and deserves adequate attention, with this extra time it is possible to end the development cycle and deliver a good game that can give you a pleasant gaming experience.
We are very sorry for this situation, but the wait will be worth it.
Steam Sports fest
The festival starts and we have updated the demo to version 0.3.0 which includes several things to take into account:
-Career mode enabled, it is a preview of what will be chapter 1. -Game modes for local multiplayer for up to 4 players. -New songs produced by Policrom. -The Arena de Cajas México is enabled to play, just take into account that you must play the previous career mode to enable the stage. -Error correction. -Improved gameplay and added indicators to know the orientation of the boxes.

Release month
Finally, the WCC has a launch month, September 2023. The day remains to be confirmed, but if our estimates are correct and no type of problem or critical event occurs in the coming months, you will be able to enjoy the fighting boxes at end of said month.
By the way, we have fixed many things that were pending in the Demo, which is why we took a little longer, however, everything will be ready by May 15, you will be able to enjoy a part of the first chapter of the career mode, as well as of various game modes in multiplayer.

Devblog #4 - Steam Next Fest
And once again here we are, writing to you not only about our progress with the WCC, but also a bit about our plans for the game's future release.
Part of it is our participation in the next Steam Next Fest and we are more excited than ever to be able to release the demo and you can play it, give us your opinion and light the way a little, as we have worked on various aspects of the game that have benefited the experience. game, but... How much? That and more questions we hope can have an answer during the festival.
Basically from June 13 - 20, the duration of the festival, you will be able to play many demos of games that seem to be looking good and discover games that perhaps were not on the radar and are about to be fully released. The festival also helps developers to measure the state of the game and if the players are really interested in it, for this reason, we ask that you take the time you think is convenient to try each demo and above all to give your comments to the developers. In our case, we have placed a button within the demo that will direct to a form with several questions that will take them less than 10 minutes.
This will help us to have almost the last stretch of the road completed and see how many adjustments we would have to make for the launch of the game, we want to make the best game we can, it will be the first on steam, although we know the risks and everything that there is around, obviously we are motivated.
Thus, the demo will feature local multiplayer for up to 4 players, 1 vs 1 against the AI; for now we are not including the career mode because we do not have enough time to add it, we decided to focus on what we already had and that needed to be polished, apart from the integration of the AI it was a challenge that took more time than expected and there are still adjustments to be made, fortunately in parallel the development of the cutscenes for the career mode has continued, so much of the work has been covered.
Finally, although we will publish the demo when the festival starts, it will remain permanently and we will update it properly and as we deem necessary until launch, because we want to show the career mode and see the settings that we would have to make. I almost forgot, during the festival there are broadcasts by the developers talking a bit about the game, we are not sure if we will make a broadcast, it is something that we have to analyze, but what you will see are some videos that we hope you enjoy, and if the game is of your interest, add it to your wish list, that helps us a lot.

Devblog #3 - Working on the Demo
Greetings fans of wrestling and video games, we hope that this beginning of the year is going very well for each of you and that you are mainly enjoying good health, as well as your loved ones.
Now, it has been difficult to maintain an adequate rhythm between the development and the diffusion of the game in the different social networks for us, they have been somewhat difficult weeks for various reasons for each of the team members, but even so the spirit is strong , we continue working giving the best we have and preparing for this year to finally publish this project.
Unfortunately, we still do not have a specific date, but we estimate that it could be at the beginning of the second semester of this year 2022, so it is important for us to make known our plans and the content that is already finished and what remains to be done, being like this:
What is finished:
-Multiplayer mode for up to 4 players, 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 1, all vs all -Scenarios: Cajilatero, Box Saquare Garden, Arena de Cajas Mexico, Box Dome -Main menu and in-game interfaces -Missing characters with their textures and animations -Stage props and decorations -Ring entry cutscenes of playable characters
What is working:

As you can see, there is still a lot of content to be implemented within the game, a lot of work for 4 people but not impossible, we are clear about the objectives and the direction we are taking, as well as a plan B in case something happens.
We are entering the final phase of this project that began at the beginning of 2019 and it may seem that little has been achieved in all that time to date, but in truth it has not been easy, it is not a joke, far from it. cliché, when we say that making a video game with professional intentions is not, by far, a simple thing.
We greatly appreciate the support you have given us, the number of additions to the wish list continues to grow, which has been a factor to be motivated and deliver the best gaming experience.

Devblog #2 - Road to Demo
The development of the next Demo has been stable in a certain way, with its successes and errors, however, little by little, we have made the necessary adjustments to achieve the objectives we have set. On this occasion, we will focus on the user interface and user experience or as it is known, UI & UX.
We knew that the interface would be constantly changing always conditioned to the elements that we want the player to pay attention or know that they are within reach, and at the same time that it is in a wrestling game with cardboard boxes, from the moment it begins to move through the interface of the main menu you can see certain animations, as if the interfaces were fighting every time a transition occurs.

We have added a section to choose the game modes, it comes with a description of what the game mode consists of and an image, this will allow the player to be more specific with their game preference and will have more clear what the game can offer them. , the interesting thing is that if two players are the only ones connected or assigned, this interface will not appear, since it would not make sense to show you the game modes with more players.
Fight options.
We have been fighting a lot to achieve that in the selection of characters the 4 players are interacting in the interface, we add cards for each character, when a button is pressed the card is turned over and its statistics can be appreciated; so that each player knows in which character they are located, each one has a mark with a distinctive color with an animation that reinforces the movement of the player, also, when several players are positioned on the same card a label is appreciated to identify that there is more than one player, that same label is displayed when the player has selected a character and their card is no longer active.

Later, automatically, the transition to the stage selection is made, an image of it and a description are displayed; recalling the classic posters to promote the fights in the wrestling arenas, we were inspired to create the unique poster for each scenario and based on the selected characters and preferences of the fight, the information is adapted, presenting the information in a different way and more attractive to the user.

We have achieved a cleaner and more useful interface for players with the necessary information that will allow you to experience the game properly. It is true that details need to be polished and we want to add some effects and animations to reinforce the moment and the information.
