The big 2023 patch!
> The dash has been completely reworked - the camera no longer snaps to xander's position. Instead, the dashing is smooth and I-frames were added to the start of the dash animation to compensate for the fact that it's not instant anymore.

> The difficulty curve has been rebalanced - the beginning of the game no longer utterly destroys you.

> A mini map has been added to the pause screen.

> FPS fixes to certain windows OSs.

> Hitboxes for literally every attack in the game have been reworked to actually make sense.

> Auracapture beams home in on enemies like they will in myth caller.

> Minor glitches in relation to the catch arena have been fixed.

> The fishing minigame has been made less infuriating.

> Dialogue text changes to the fishing minigame and the mech lab to make it clearer what you're supposed to do in those areas.

> Sadomas has been un-nerfed to be as strong as it was in 2019.

Ver. 2.9
Minor animation fixes due to updating game maker studio 2 for version 2.8 breaking them. Also, potential crash at Dai fixed.

Ver. 2.8
Ver.2.8 adds a fix to the Setinos boss fight. Before, Setinos wouldn't get the boost from the arena's shiny booster, but now he works as intended

Ver. 2.7
Enemies now no longer appear as grillbits for the first frame they spawn.

Easy Mode added!
There's no getting around it- Xander is one of the most hardcore games in the monster-catching genre. Some of the endbosses can kill you in literally 4 seconds.

For action game fans, this is pretty normal, but if you're coming into this game from Pokémon, I can see how this would be a weeeee bit of a culture shock.

This is a bit of a problem because Xander has an intricate, funny storyline that non-masochists might still want to enjoy. So to alleviate this problem- there is now an easy mode you can select when starting a new game.

  • Party members' health bars are displayed when switching monsters
  • Storage/Fusion menus can be navigated with the mouse wheel
  • The arena shows how many tokens you get after each round
  • Storage/Fusion menus show monsters' elements
  • Typo fixes
  • Crash fixes
