Hotfix v1.0.2
The support, feedback, and encouragement we've received since the full release of Xenia's Ark has been inspiring. And though this Hot Fix patch did not come as quickly as we would have liked, with your help we were able to identify and include more bug fixes and changes. While we are confident these changes will make Xenia's Ark more enjoyable, we know there's still work to do to make it the best game it can be. And thanks again for jumping through the wormhole with us.
Now, let's embark,
Malicious Games Dev Team

Patch - Hotfix 1.0.1
Patch Notes -- Hotfix 1.0.1
First, we would like to thank all the players who have sent in feedback, bug reports, and posted reviews over the past week, as we have been hard at work to bring you the first Patch post release, Hotfix 1.0.1. We came to realize, rather quickly, that we had underestimated the learning curve for new players. To this end, we have added a button to the in-game UI that will bring you to the Xenia's Ark Wiki, which is still being updated with more information. Credits were a bit harder to come by than we anticipated, so we have made a couple alterations that should allow for an easier time in the early game in that regard. And finally, a very special thanks to all of you who submitted bug reports. We got quite a lot of squashing done, and thanks to you, the game is more enjoyable for everyone. We are continuing to listen to your feedback as we keep working to make Xenia's Ark as great as it can be.
See you on the Ark,
-Malicious Dev Team

• Fixed an issue where District Development Expansions would reset when the City expanded
• Fixed an issue where players could pay to develop an already developed District tile.
• Fixed an issue where rebuilding a collapsed building would result in wonkiness
• Fixed an issue where players would get stuck waiting for themselves
• Fixed an issue where tile improvements on the Star System map would become unpowered even though the nearest Star Base had enough energy.

We are dedicated to continuing to pour our hearts into the game as we have for the past seven years. Early Access February Patch
As we push for full release, we are pleased to announce the End Game scenario now going live. Along with:
-New special effects and animations added -AI improvements -Quality of Life Improvements -Various bugfixes
Due to the many and various changes made with this patch, it is unlikely that any save game files from before this patch will continue to work. We encourage players to start a new game after updating to this version.
As always, we thank you all for your comments, feedback, and help in making Xenia's Ark a success!
"Cache & Carry" Now Live!
We are excited to announce our latest patch, “Cache and Carry,” to Xenia’s Ark. We know it has been a minute or two since there has been a major improvement to the game, but we have made significant strides, squashed many bugs, added more than a few features, and taken your feedback to heart since our last update. We believe this patch is the largest step forward we have made since entering Early Access. While there are still more interesting and compelling improvements to come, we deem that Xenia’s Ark has graduated from being merely playable to genuinely enjoyable. Below are the mechanics and features you can expect to see in the new patch, “Cache and Carry.”
Explorable stashes have been added to planet surfaces and star systems to incentivize and reward exploration. However, hazards have also been added to star system maps in the form of Radiation Fields, Plasma Fields and Black Holes. The effects of these hazards range from distressing, to surprising, to fatal.
The Escort feature has been added to Military and Civilian Units, which ensures that they will stay together while moving from place to place. When enabled, the units’ movement will be linked and limited to the lowest movement between the two units.
Engineers can now have their “Assemble Repair Pack” or “Assemble Build Pack” abilities toggled on and off, so they will build the respective pack every turn until their limit has been reached.
Freighters are now able to carry Civilian Units and Mechs. These units can now Embark when close enough to a Freighter and will be loaded into the Freighter if there is sufficient capacity left. Those units can then be selected and use the Disembark ability to leave the Freighter.
The saving system has been overhauled, reducing save and load times and reducing save file size. UI color customization has been added, combat effects have been overhauled, information has been added to the Status Effects tooltips in the Unit UI, and Steam Integration has been implemented.
We here at Malicious Games are deeply thankful for all the feedback, suggestions, and support as we continue to push to full release. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions to make Xenia’s Ark a better game, we would love to hear from you on our Steam Community Page.
