XENOGROVE Update Released

An update for pre-release Xenogrove players has been released.

MOUNT REWORK:
Significant portions of mount physics have been reworked for more natural riding. The mount will conform to the surface better and allow for a smoother less bumpy ride.

AUDIO:
Certain gameplay-essential sounds are no longer streamed from disk and instead are loaded and kept in memory on startup so they are always available to play when needed. Many other sounds (such as ambiences) still stream in order to reduce memory usage and the initial loading time.

The mount now has more sound attached to it; a wind noise that plays relative to the velocity of the mount, and a throttle noise relative to the amount of throttle and current velocity.
Additionally, bouncing sounds when the mount impacts a surface are scaled in volume relative to the force of the hit, and are checked against a number of conditions to prevent repetitive and annoying plays of the sound.

XENOGROVE Update Released

An update for XENOGROVE has been released.

BUG FIXES:
Audio volume sliders now work correctly.
Steed bouncing sounds now work. There is a known issues where they will frequently fire at certain angles.
Landscapes no longer have low-precision collision and do not switch LODs as often resulting in less jittery "popping" in their geometry.

ENEMY IMPROVEMENTS:
Mushroom enemies no longer get stuck on ledges.
Vutaris worms now navigate to the player correctly and do not fall off of ledges nearly as easily.
Vutaris perform their attack as three different close range hits, so you have the opportunity to escape without taking full damage.

NEW PARTS:
Guass Rail and Rotating Rapid Barrels have been added to the Legendary loot pool.
The Mosryen Summoner is now Avant-Garde and is no longer obtainable from random chests. (it is still obtainable through the appropriate means)

USER EXPERIENCE IMPROVEMENTS:
When obtaining a Terraformer Part, a cutscene now plays showing the Terraformer in a more repaired state.
When the portal to the final boss opens, a cutscene reveals its location.
The final boss portal will open regardless of villagers rescued and will always open once the first 4 Terraformer Parts are obtained.

XENOGROVE Update Released

A new update for Xenogrove has been released.

In this update:

FULL CONTROLLER SUPPORT:
Using a virtual cursor you can control with your gamepad, you should now be able to play the entire game with the gamepad.

NEW TEXTURES:
Kelly has provided new handpainted textures used in the open world, which are
A) Awesome,
B) Make the open world easier to read visually,
and C) More consistent with the 2d art.

NEW DUNGEON:
Replaced an accidental duplicate dungeon (Vutaris Valley) with a new dungeon, The Climb.
The Climb is a platforming focused dungeon accessible in the north end of the Savannah facing the Mountain.

OPEN WORLD EDITS:
There have been extensive edits to the open world to clean up certain rough areas and fill out areas that didn't have much in them.
Most of the work was focused on the southern regions and the northern hills.
Filling out the world is still WIP and will be a persistent effort until launch.

FASTER LOAD TIMES:
The section of loading while the game's screen is completely black should be shorter. We are still looking to get this section as short as possible.

IMPROVED MOUNT PHYSICS:
The mount is less twitchy and conforms to hills better. Overall, it should feel more natural to use and be more responsive while also less random feeling.
