Season 2 of the Surfing World Tour Begins! 8 Global Competitions Await
Compete at Iconic Surf Spots
This season's events will take place at some of the world’s most renowned surfing destinations:
- Cloudbreak – Fiji
- Bells Beach – Australia
- Skeleton Bay – Namibia
- Malpica – Spain
- Trestles – California, USA
- Lagundri – Indonesia
- La Intendencia – Chile
- Decman – Puerto Rico
Each competition will offer players a chance to earn points based on their performance. But here’s the twist: only the top 6 event scores will count toward the final ranking, so consistency and strategy will be key in the race for the title.
Divisional Battles and Rankings
All players are divided into competitive divisions, with the Top 50 standing as the most elite division, featuring the game’s top players. Following them are the Pro Qualifier, Pro 1, and Pro 2 divisions. As the season progresses, the best surfers in each division will have the chance to move up the ranks, while others will face relegation.
Season 1 Recap: Can JDR Defend the Title?
Last season saw an epic battle for the World Championship title, with JDR emerging victorious, closely followed by Cabral and pudasurf. This season, the competition is even fiercer. Can JDR defend the crown, or will a new champion rise to the occasion?

Following the intense competition of last season, we’re taking the action to entirely new waters. This year’s world tour will feature 8 unique and challenging waves from around the globe, giving players a chance to showcase their skills in fresh environments:
- Palm Beach – Gold Coast, Australia
- Cave Rock – South Africa
- El Frontón – Canary Islands, Spain
- Shark Bay – Ecuador
- Petacalco – Mexico
- Aussie Pipe – Australia
- La Tortue – Reunion Island
- Riley's – Ireland
Each competition will push riders to their limits as they battle to rack up points and climb the global rankings.
Divisions Rebalanced – Let the Competition Begin!
After the results of last season, players have been promoted or relegated within the divisions, ensuring balanced and intense competition across the board. Last year’s world champion, JDR, will be back to defend their title, but they’ll face fierce challengers hungry for victory. Can JDR hold onto the crown, or will a new champ emerge this season?
Special Guest Host: Manny Vargas
We’re beyond stoked to announce that bodyboarding legend Manny Vargas is joining this season as our special guest host! A former professional bodyboarder and the voice behind some of the biggest events on the real-world tour, Manny will be making exclusive videos to present and summarize each event. With his insider knowledge and unmatched enthusiasm, Manny will bring the tour to life like never before.
Real-World Partnerships for the Ultimate Bodyboard Experience
We’re also continuing to bridge the gap between virtual and real-world bodyboarding by partnering with real-life competitions. The season opener at Palm Beach (Gold Coast) is in collaboration with Goldcoast Future Pros, and the iconic El Frontón event will run alongside the prestigious Gran Canaria Fronton King competition. These partnerships make the virtual tour feel even more connected to the real sport, giving players the chance to compete in sync with real-world bodyboarders.
