"Keiichi Oka's a fairly intense looking character, and well, let's just say that inside he's even more intense. I suppose this posed a challenge for me when thinking about how to approach his character. My first impression was that he was a bit self-centered and kind of unloveable. But as I read more, I began to realize that, actually, this guy wasn't a completely lost cause. He's irritating, clingy, formidable, but ultimately a decent guy, and I really tried my hardest to convey that with my performance. If players get to the end and think, "this guy's kinda sweet," then that'll be more than enough of a reward for me, and for Oka, himself. By all means, please check out the game! This is an adventure game, but that's not all. This is a hybrid effort. I get the impression some people may find that somewhat of a barrier to entry, but I'd urge them to give it a try. The story in and of itself is a whole lot of fun, and there's also an easy mode. So basically, there's no need to be worried. Also, the characters may all be utterly mad, but those mad characters slot perfectly into a super engaging, well-constructed story that's a treat to dig into. That's why I want as many people as possible to play the game. I completely wore out my throat a bunch of times during the recording, and I'd love for everyone to see the hard work that went into Yurukill!"

"I play Hanaka Ichirin, the Prisoner. She was arrested for murder, but she's also something of an underground pop star, and has her sights set on becoming the ultimate pop sensation. Because she's been toiling away on the bottom rungs of the pop star circuit, she's no stranger to hardship as well as the sweeter things in life. She's got plenty of very typical pop star quirks, and there were some difficult scenes where I had to really work to keep up with the changing pace of her emotions. I just hope that on the whole, her dedication, professionalism and cuteness shine through. Simply put, Yurukill: The Calumniation Games has a fascinating story—the kind that shocks and chills you and really gets under your skin, and I mean that in the best possible way. I really hope players get stuck into the quizzes and shoot 'em up sections, get to know all the characters and the incidents they're embroiled in, and get to the bottom of the mystery of Yurukill Land!"

"I recorded so many lines as Kagura, and I can still feel the corners of my mouth twitching into a smile—that's how cheerful she is! She's such a fun, frivolous teen! She has some funny little catchphrases, too, and I hope players are won over by her! Honestly, I still haven't gotten her completely out of my system. I bet even Kagura's got all sorts going on in that cheerful, lackadaisical head of hers. Or does she? Maybe she doesn't? Or maybe she does... Haha. If you do a little bit of digging there's plenty underneath the surface. Which I think sums up the game pretty well. Not only is it an exciting new fusion of shoot 'em up action and puzzles that'll have you scratching your head, it's also packed with deep characters brimming with personality. "I play Raita Yamada, Futa's younger twin brother. Compared to his full-on, intense brother, Raita is more reserved and delicate. I really hope players enjoy finding out the predicament the twins are in, and what lurks in their past. The fact that they're twins is also pretty key. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys their time with the game. I get the feeling players will need to give themselves a little pep talk before the game, otherwise I think it might be a pretty intense experience, mentally. So yeah, my advice is to be prepared for that and then get stuck in. I can't say anything right now, but you better play the game, and make sure you play it all the way through! I'm counting on you!"

"Futa Yamada is the eldest of two twins. I'm not a twin, so I had to try and envisage his mindset as I was playing him. I guess I came away feeling like being a twin must be pretty cool. The Yamada brothers are caught up in a fairly crazy episode, so I'd love for players to get to the bottom of it. There's a closeness to their relationship that comes from them being twins—it's pretty special, I think! Futa's this real cool, but equally hot-headed character, so there's a real gap between those two traits, and I think that's something players will appreciate. Overall, I had a lot of fun playing Futa! To all the Yurukill players out there... Sometimes in life, we find ourselves falsely accused of something we didn't do. When I was in elementary school, I once picked up a recorder off the floor, only for a girl in my class to accuse me of trying to steal it. I told her she'd got it all wrong... anyway, Yurukill is like that, but dialed up to 11—with the characters trying to clear their names. The story's twists and turns will definitely have you on the edge of your seats, so by all means, please dive in. I mean, I'm also looking forward to playing!"

Yurukill: The Calumniation Games Original Soundtrack album is out today, July 15. The soundtrack album is now available on a variety of music streaming platforms and subscription services, including Apple Music and Spotify. The complete soundtrack features the game's main theme, "Black Innocence", sung by Saori Hayami in character as Rina Azami; and the ending theme, "Onore ni Hanamuke" (A Parting Gift)", sung by Akari Kito in character as Izane Akegarasu. Yurukill is based on an original story by Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler author, Homura Kawamoto and features a scenario by Hikaru Muno. The game’s shoot ‘em up sections were developed by G.rev.
