1.1.1 Minor Fixes
Update 1.1
Since we released Zenko: A Fox's Tale there has been an incredible amount of support and excellent feedback from the community. We at Wolf Packtics thank you all for playing our game and leaving us excellent criticism, especially when it comes to issues like accessibility!
This first update is primarily focused on correcting bugs and oversights to make Zenko a more enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Overall Changes:
- Fixed an issue that stopped game completion from being saved after exiting the game, preventing players from accessing level select.
- Fixed an issue that prevented two of the secret achievements from being unlocked. Good luck finding them!
- Fixed a glitch that reset players to the start of level 1 (the Shrine) if they saved and loaded in it.
- Loading a new game or using level select will now properly reset most level elements.
Game Mechanics Changes:
- Improved the cloud platforms' hit detection, which was previously hit-or-miss if the player landed on them at particular speeds or angles. Zenko's dash is also no longer interrupted by colliding with a cloud.
- Fixed Bell effects not persisting between game loads.
Settings Changes:
- Fixed several broken options in the main menu's video sub-menu.
- Added a 4k resolution option to the resolution settings
- Added a fullscreen/windowed mode toggle to the video settings
- Fixed some typos.
Environmental Changes:
- Made terrain edits to the Shrine level to fill in some holes.
- Made small adjustments to the Shrine's props and effects.
- Added bells to open the Shrine gates in case the gates close unexpectedly.
- Made a certain jump in level 1 slightly more forgiving.
For our future updates, we plan to look into expanding the controls settings to provide greater customization and accessibility to our players.
