In the newest patch, a letter from Abby has been added to Zwiebel's house to give more info on how she came to be with the Bellycutters.
Also, if you haven't been following MTC on YouTube, a sequel to Zeran's Folly is in the works called Leowald! Here is the new game scene but be warned, there are spoilers:

Big Dialogue Box
In the Graphics options there's a new setting for Big Dialogue Box which makes the dialogue box 25% bigger.
World Map
Jeasel now has a map of the area. He'll even let you see it for free! What a bargain!
Abby's "Nightie" Outfit
For those of you who have witnessed the Finale, switch to Abby and look under her bed. You may find something! Unfortunately this isn't retroactive so you may need to watch the finale again. However, the outfit carries over to Relive Memories (NG+) so you can make Abby sexy again as soon as possible.
Thanks for playing!

Performance Boost Patch
Faster frames are here! Thanks to recent improvements to SFML, the game now has increased performance. Preliminary tests show a 100% increase in frame rate.
The change isn't official yet though so let me know in the forums if anything explodes.
New Update: The Necro Pits and the Finale
The Necro Pits are here! Slaughter undead and brave the depths in the new roguelite-inspired dungeon located at the bottom of the Bellycutter Hideout. The Necro Pits has its own unique currency (Necro Tokens) which can be traded for new rings and outfits.
Along with the Necro Pits comes Penelope, the seventh and final playable character. She's a vampire with big ...eyes that specializes in shadow magic. Complete Rank A of the Necro Pits to recruit her.
Finally, there is also now a Finale cutscene which gives some closure on the adventure. To see it, recruit Anne and Marco and reach Rank S+ in the Necro Pits, then talk to Abby in her room as Lone in the Epilogue.
Happy delving!
Coming Soon: The Necro Pits and Penelope
The next big update for Zeran's Folly will be the Necro Pits Update. With it comes a new sidequest story, a new gameplay mode, and even a new playable character!
The Necro Pits
Beneath the Bellycutter Hideout lie the Necro Pits, a labyrinth filled to the brim with evil and undead. It's where the guild's necromancers and spellcasters do their training. Now, anyone bold enough to delve may enter, even Lone and his friends.
The Necro Pits as a dungeon is like a roguelike. The layout is randomized each time you enter and if you die, you're kicked out. The goal is to reach the end of the dungeon and kill the undead leader for cash and wonderful prizes. There are seven depths in total, each with its own theme and boss. Can you descend to the bottom?
Penelope
As you delve deeper into the Necro Pits, you'll be helping your fellow guild members. Some need help defeating bosses, others need help reclaiming their lost items. Others... may need convincing not to kill you.
If you complete Rank A (depth 5), you'll recruit Penelope as a playable character:
Penelope is a caster specializing in shadow magic. Her Shadow Sickles are like boomerangs that travel in straight lines and she can pass through enemies unharmed with her Darkmist form. Her wings even allow her to fly for a short time--or forever, if she learns how.
Necro Tokens
Necro Tokens are the currency of the Necro Pits. Enemies will drop tokens instead of gelder and killing the depth's undead leader will award a bounty of tokens.
You can use Necro Tokens to buy rings, outfits, Hip Flask infusions, and Cold Hearts, which are new. Cold Hearts increase your health up to 20 hearts, but only in the Necro Pits. Some rings and outfits are only sold in the Necro Pits, so get delving!
Release Window
The Necro Pits may be released by the end of February at the latest or so. Watch this space for updates.
Path of Flowers Update
Pond of Secrets
Whispers tell of a secret grove, with beautiful fairies and a wondrous pool that infuses metal with magic. The Path of Flowers is home to the Mega Well, the only means of upgrading your rings into Mega Rings. Upgraded rings have magnified abilities and, in some cases, even extra abilities. Be careful though--most Mega Rings take more Ring Power to use.
Watching over the Mega Well is this lady, Elasia:
Find her and you've found the Mega Well. However, there might be a price to use it, and she doesn't take gelder...
Keeper of Rumors
Also new in the update is Macaron, the official Hideout rumor-monger. She has the latest scoop on everything secret, so pay her a visit if you're into that sort of thing.
Macaron is a guest character from @caramel_kitteh. Check out her stuff!
Come Meet The Mountain
The newest and most difficult achievement is "The Mountain". Can you beat the game without getting a single upgrade? That means no rings, no hearts, no Hip Flask, no talents, no Anne, nothing. Is it even possible? Give it a try!
Enjoy!
Physics Precision Reduction Added
A new option has been added to the Gameplay Options: Physics Precision Reduction. This is a number from 1 to 32 that affects how precise the physics engine is.
1 is baseline, higher numbers are less precise.
What does this mean? If you have low FPS and your character slows down while running for no reason, it may help to reduce precision by a factor of 2, 4, or even higher. Fewer collision checks will be made and your framerate may improve. However, there may be other unintended side-effects. Use at your own risk.
Bard Mode Added
When starting a new game, you can now choose between Marauder Mode and Bard Mode.
Marauder Mode
For the Challenge. Marauder Mode is the game as it has always been. You start out with four hearts and nothing else.
Bard Mode
For the Story. Bard Mode gives you full hearts, some Hip Flask charges, and a pile of rings to make your adventure less stressful. Achievements can still be earned in this mode as everything you receive can be obtained in the game normally otherwise.
Happy adventuring!
Anne's Update is now Live
Anne's Update is now live!
Anne can now be recruited as a playable character. Like everyone else, she has her own talents and outfits to collect. To recruit her, complete the Terna Island Assault sidequest and collect all eight Mana Cores.
Anne is a versatile character. Along with her laser sword for melee combat, Anne can also throw bombs when she focuses. Unlike Lydia's Mana Bombs, Anne's bombs have an explosion radius and will bounce on the ground. Although she is quick on her feet, Anne has a hard time reaching the same vertical heights other characters like Lisa and Abby do.
This update also brings a few bug fixes, which are below:
Balance
Skullbats have been removed from the open-pit platforms room in Tomb of Kings East.
Upgrading the Hip Flask beyond 13 charges is now much more expensive.
Rings
The Vitafilter Ring requires 5 RP now instead of 9.
Cosmetic rings now require 3 RP instead of 1.
The Chime Ring now has a Mega version which reveals all unopened chests on the map.
NPCs
NPCs will now show a speech bubble if you have to talk to them or if they have a sidequest available.
Corrected some issues with Norman's conversations.
Bello would give Lydia the Mana Shield talent if she bought the Arcanist Robe outfit. This has been fixed to require all of her outfits he sells to be owned.
