Hey guys!

We’re aaalmost there! EA release coming in 15 days, on 9th November!

While waiting for the release and the demo [coming soon!], prepare yourself by reading this FAQ we made for you. :)

Important, and frequently asked questions:

Q: How much is Zero Caliber VR gonna cost at release?
A: $/€ 24.99 with a nice launch discount.

Q: Will there be voice chat?
A: Since Zero Caliber VR is a Co-op game, voice chat is a must. It is implemented in the EA version, the demo version does not contain the voice chat feature.

Q: What’s in the demo? Does it have Co-op?
A: The free demo version contains the tutorial and one standalone mission - fully playable in Co-op! 10 weapons can be unlocked and tried.

Q: What’s in the EA version?
A: The EA version contains the tutorial, one standalone mission and the campaign mode - with not just 10, but many more weapons and attachments to be unlocked for your pleasure! Fully playable in Co-op of course.

Q: How many people can play in Co-op?
A: You can play the game either alone, or with your buddies: 4 players maximum in Co-op.

Q: Which VR systems are supported?
A: HTC Vive, Oculus Rift. WMR is partially supported as well, full, native WMR support is coming in a future update when the WMR joysticks will be added to the party. Technically the game also supports the Pimax headsets too.

Q: Will there be PvP?
A: Yes, absolutely! Not at the time of the EA release, though. We’re already working on the PvP mode of Zero Caliber VR, its alpha test is scheduled for Q1, 2019.

Q: Are there dedicated servers?
A: Not yet. Co-op works on Host-Client basis.

Some thoughts about the future of Zero Caliber VR

We’ve been working extremely hard to bring you guys a polished, fully enjoyable game, even in Early Access.
After the EA release, we’re aiming for monthly content updates : new weapon and attachment packs one month, then standalone Co-op mission the next month with a bigger, Campaign related update in late Q1, early Q2 next year, which will conclude the story.
PvP mode is coming as well! We’ll take extreme care when developing it, as usual. ;) We want it to be THE PvP everyone returns to. Closed Alpha test is scheduled to start late Q1, 2019.

Zero Caliber VR: public demo, EA release, dates

Hey guys and gals!

In the past few months, you could've read different release dates and confusing deadlines surrounding Zero Caliber VR.

Let's make a clean breast about it all!

TL;DR:
Public demo: to be released on 25th October, 2018
EA release: dropping on 9th November, 2018
Wishlist Zero Caliber VR to get notified about announcements and important news!

"But Devs, why all the delays?"

Good question, glad you've asked. :)

During the Closed Alpha test we've realized that there are many Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality players eagerly waiting for Zero Caliber VR.
Their numbers far exceeded our first estimations!
That is why we've decided to develop the control support for all these VR systems before releasing any public version of the game. No one should be left out!
Another reason for the delay is all the feedback our wonderful Alpha Testers sent our way. We've been busy fine-tuning the game and eliminating bugs based on our community's feedback. We can't thank them enough!

We've also decided to update the game's engine to the latest version before going public. Such an update takes extra time as we have to make sure our game runs flawlessly on the new version as well.

As we're still a small Indie Studio with limited resources, we ask for a little more patience. Don't worry, you don't have to wait for too long! We're only 1 month away from the public demo, then 2 weeks later comes the release. It's all for a better experience for you guys, we promise! :)

Zero Caliber VR Closed Alpha going strong!

Hey guys/gals!

Zero Caliber VR’s Closed Alpha test is going very well, the amount of feedback we're getting is enormous! Which is awesome. :)

Currently we’re updating our engine to the latest version; it sets back the development process a bit as we have to re-adjust everything, every little detail to make sure the game works flawlessly again.
We had to make this move during the alpha though, as Unreal’s latest update ads a ton of useful features/tools that will be beneficial later on in the development of our titles.

We know everyone is eagerly waiting for the public demo. We will release it as soon as we've successfully finished the engine update and eliminated all the bugs our hundreds of testers have reported so far.
“When’s that?” you ask? 2nd half of September if everything goes as planned, early October at the latest.
Please keep in mind that we're still an independent indie studio, and as such development might be a bit slower than expected. :)

How’s the current Alpha?

All about Zero Caliber VR's Alpha Test

Hey Zero Caliber fans,

The day we’ve all been eagerly waiting for is almost here!
The Closed Alpha test will begin on the 14th of August for HTC Vive owners.
You can still apply to participate in it on Discord: https://discord.gg/R5ZUsjB DEADLINE: 10th of August.

The Alpha Test will come at a great cost though. We’ve had to make a tough decision: either release the alpha for both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift in an unpolished state with insufficient content, or go with only one platform, but with more gameplay content.
We went for the latter, hence why only Vive owners will be able to participate in the Alpha for now.

If you own the Rift, don’t worry, the public Demo version will arrive soon after the Alpha so you won’t have to wait for too long!

To participate in the Alpha test, signing an NDA will be required. Nothing too serious, but as this is an Alpha, bugs and minor problems are likely to happen and we wouldn’t want the game to be widely known for such bugs, hence the NDA. :)
More info on the 13th of August!

The test will last as long as it is needed, but at least until the 21st of August so you’ll have a full weekend to test the game if you don’t have time during the weekdays.
Feedback and bug reports will take place on Discord in the appropriate channels.

Zero Caliber VR demo version/Alpha Test

Dear Zero Caliber fans/enthusiasts!

[TL;DR at the end]

We know you are all eagerly waiting for the public demo version of Zero Caliber VR which was originally scheduled to be released on 5 August.
Learning from our previous mistakes, we have decided to push the demo’s release date back a bit. We don’t want to leave you without Zero Caliber though! Anyone who is interested in testing Zero Caliber can participate in the closed Alpha test to be held in August (starting around the 10th).
You can sign up for the Closed Alpha test via our Discord: https://discord.gg/R5ZUsjB. You’ll find all the details there!
The fully polished public demo version will be released in early September.

But… why?

The reason we’ve decided to push back the demo a bit is that we feel like Zero Caliber isn’t as polished as we’d like it to be.
When we released our first title, A-Tech Cybernetic, it was way too early in its development. Even though A-Tech evolved immensely since then and we’re getting very positive reviews to this day, the game itself - due to it being released too early - lost a lot of initial interest and visibility. We don’t want to make the same mistake again, players will receive a fully polished demo version of Zero Caliber so everyone can experience it in all its glory as we originally intended.

What does this mean?

It means that by the time the public demo is released in September, it will be a fully enjoyable and mostly bug-free experience thanks to all the feedback and test results we’ll hopefully get from our Alpha testers. :)
Don't forget to put Zero Caliber VR on your wishlist so you can catch all the announcements and updates!

TL;DR: Zero Caliber VR public demo release date pushed back to September, Closed Alpha instead in August. Apply on Discord: https://discord.gg/R5ZUsjB

Thank you for understanding, we hope we'll see all of you in our Alpha! ;)
Stay tuned for a fun gameplay teaser coming soon!
