Any feedback on the visuals?

Steam Workshop support is nearly done now (I just need to create the examples and tutorials now, unless I've forgotten something).
Since map creators will be using the same set of art assets as me, I thought it's probably a good time to start thinking more about the visuals.
I've heard various conflicting opinions on the state of the game's graphics, so I'd really appreciate some more widespread feedback.

So then:
What do you think of the visuals in ZGA right now? Do you think they could use a major overhaul or just a little polish? If it's the former and you've got any thoughts on what kind of art direction would suit the game, I'd love to hear them too.

Also, ask away if you've got any questions, just don't forget to subscribe to the thread.

Thanks very much!

Currently working on Steam workshop support

In case there was any doubt, barring some major unforeseen issue, I'm definitely going ahead with the Steam workshop for ZGA now (I've actually been working on it in one way or another since the first announcement on the subject, but hadn't confirmed it's happening yet, in case there were problems). This will work, at least initially, as I describe in the second announcement: http://steamcommunity.com/games/467820/announcements/detail/268360880064859766
since the response to that method was very positive.

With that way of doing it, it shouldn't take nearly as long on my end, but it still might be a few weeks. That's a lot longer than I generally like to leave between updates, so bear with me in the meantime.

Among other things, I want to improve ZGA's map making systems, both to make them easier to use, and also to facilitate more creative maps. It's important to do this before opening the workshop for map making, so that I don't invalidate anyone's maps later.

Anyway, progress is good so far.

As an afterthought, if anyone was thinking of getting started with UE4 already, the version you'll need for ZGA is 4.10.

Oh, and, while I'm at it, happy new year!
